ミカ書	Micah 1	1
1	1 The word of the Lord that came to Micah of Moresheth in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.	ユダの王ヨタム、アハズおよびヒゼキヤの世に、モレシテびとミカが、サマリヤとエルサレムについて示された主の言葉。
1	2 Hear, all you peoples! Listen, O earth, and all that is in it! Let the Lord God be a witness against you, The Lord from His holy temple.	あなたがたすべての民よ、聞け。地とその中に満てる者よ、耳を傾けよ。主なる神はあなたがたにむかって証言し、主はその聖なる宮から証言される。
1	3 For behold, the Lord is coming out of His place; He will come down And tread on the high places of the earth.	見よ、主はそのご座所から出てこられ、下ってきて地の高い所を踏まれる。
1	4 The mountains will melt under Him, And the valleys will split Like wax before the fire, Like waters poured down a steep place.	山は彼の下に溶け、谷は裂け、火の前のろうのごとく、坂に流れる水のようだ。
1	5 All this is for the transgression of Jacob And for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? Is it not Samaria? And what are the high places of Judah? Are they not Jerusalem?	これはみなヤコブのとがのゆえ、イスラエルの家の罪のゆえである。ヤコブのとがとは何か、サマリヤではないか。ユダの家の罪とは何か、エルサレムではないか。
1	6 "Therefore I will make Samaria a heap of ruins in the field, Places for planting a vineyard; I will pour down her stones into the valley, And I will uncover her foundations.	このゆえにわたしはサマリヤを野の石塚となし、ぶどうを植える所となし、またその石を谷に投げ落し、その基をあらわにする。
1	7 All her carved images shall be beaten to pieces, And all her pay as a harlot shall be burned with the fire; All her idols I will lay desolate, For she gathered it from the pay of a harlot, And they shall return to the pay of a harlot."	その彫像はみな砕かれ、その獲た価はみな火で焼かれる。わたしはその偶像をことごとくこわす。これは遊女の価から集めたのだから、遊女の価に帰る。
1	8 Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and naked; I will make a wailing like the jackals And a mourning like the ostriches,	わたしはこれがために嘆き悲しみ、はだしと裸で歩きまわり、山犬のように嘆き、だちょうのように悲しみ鳴く。
1	9For her wounds are incurable. For it has come to Judah; It has come to the gate of My people-- To Jerusalem.	サマリヤの傷はいやすことのできないもので、ユダまでひろがり、わが民の門、エルサレムまで及んでいる。
1	10 Tell it not in Gath, Weep not at all; In Beth Aphrah Roll yourself in the dust.	ガテに告げるな、泣き叫ぶな。ベテレアフラで、ちりの中にころがれ。
1	11 Pass by in naked shame, you inhabitant of Shaphir; The inhabitant of Zaanandoes not go out. Beth Ezel mourns; Its place to stand is taken away from you.	サピルに住む者よ、裸になり、恥をこうむって進み行け。ザアナンに住む者は出てこない。ベテエゼルの嘆きはあなたがたからその跡を断つ。
1	12 For the inhabitant of Maroth pined for good, But disaster came down from the Lord To the gate of Jerusalem.	マロテに住む者は気づかわしそうに幸を待つ。災が主から出て、エルサレムの門に臨んだからである。
1	13 O inhabitant of Lachish, Harness the chariot to the swift steeds (She was the beginning of sin to the daughter of Zion), For the transgressions of Israel were found in you.	ラキシに住む者よ、戦車に早馬をつなげ。ラキシはシオンの娘にとって罪の初めであった。イスラエルのとがが、あなたがたのうちに見られたからである。
1	14 Therefore you shall give presents to Moresheth Gath; The houses of Achzib shall be a lie to the kings of Israel.	それゆえ、あなたはモレセテ・ガテに／別れの贈り物を与える。アクジブの家々はイスラエルの王たちにとって、人を欺くものとなる。

2	1 Woe to those who devise iniquity, And work out evil on their beds! At morning light they practice it, Because it is in the power of their hand.	その床の上で不義を計り、悪を行う者はわざわいである。彼らはその手に力あるゆえ、夜が明けるとこれを行う。
2	2 They covet fields and take them by violence, Also houses, and seize them. So they oppress a man and his house, A man and his inheritance.	彼らは田畑をむさぼってこれを奪い、家をむさぼってこれを取る。彼らは人をしえたげてその家を奪い、人をしえたげてその嗣業を奪う。
2	3 Therefore thus says the Lord: "Behold, against this family I am devising disaster, From which you cannot remove your necks; Nor shall you walk haughtily, For this is an evil time.	それゆえ、主はこう言われる、見よ、わたしはこのやからにむかって／災を下そうと計る。あなたがたはその首を／これから、はずすことはできない。また、まっすぐに立って歩くことはできない。これは災の時だからである。
2	4 In that day one shall take up a proverb against you, And lament with a bitter lamentation, saying: 'We are utterly destroyed! He has changed the heritage of my people; How He has removed it from me! To a turncoat He has divided our fields.' "	その日、人々は歌を作ってあなたがたをののしり、悲しみの歌をもって嘆き悲しみ、「われわれはことごとく滅ぼされる、わが民の分は人に与えられる。どうしてこれはわたしから離れるのであろう。われわれの田畑は／われわれを捕えた者の間に分け与えられる」と言う。
2	5 Therefore you will have no one to determine boundaries by lot In the assembly of the Lord.	それゆえ、主の会衆のうちには／くじによって測りなわを張る者はひとりもなくなる。
2	6 "Do not prattle," you say to those who prophesy. So they shall not prophesy to you; They shall not return insult for insult.	彼らは言う、「あなたがたは説教してはならない。そのような事について説教してはならない。そうすればわれわれは恥をこうむることがない」と。
2	7 You who are named the house of Jacob: "Is the Spirit of the Lord restricted? Are these His doings? Do not My words do good To him who walks uprightly?	ヤコブの家よ、そんなことは言えるのだろうか。主は気短な方であろうか。これらは主のみわざなのであろうか。わが言葉は正しく歩む者に、益とならないのであろうか。
2	8"Lately My people have risen up as an enemy-- You pull off the robe with the garment From those who trust you, as they pass by, Like men returned from war.	ところが、あなたがたは立ってわが民の敵となり、いくさのことを知らずに、安らかに過ぎゆく者から、平和な者から、上着をはぎ取り、
2	9 The women of My people you cast out From their pleasant houses; From their children You have taken away My glory forever.	わが民の女たちをその楽しい家から追い出し、その子どもから、わが栄えをとこしえに奪う。
2	10 "Arise and depart, For this is not your rest; Because it is defiled, it shall destroy, Yes, with utter destruction.	立って去れ、これはあなたがたの休み場所ではない。これは汚れのゆえに滅びる。その滅びは悲惨な滅びだ。
2	11 If a man should walk in a false spirit And speak a lie, saying, 'I will prophesy to you of wine and drink,' Even he would be the prattler of this people.	もし人が風に歩み、偽りを言い、「わたしはぶどう酒と濃き酒とについて、あなたに説教しよう」と言うならば、その人はこの民の説教者となるであろう。
2	12 "I will surely assemble all of you, O Jacob, I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together like sheep of the fold, Like a flock in the midst of their pasture; They shall make a loud noise because of so many people.	ヤコブよ、わたしは必ずあなたをことごとく集め、イスラエルの残れる者を集める。わたしはこれをおりの羊のように、牧場の中の群れのように共におく。これは人の多きによって騒がしくなる。
2	13 The one who breaks open will come up before them; They will break out, Pass through the gate, And go out by it; Their king will pass before them, With the Lord at their head."	打ち破る者は彼らに先だって登りゆき、彼らは門を打ち破り、これをとおって外に出て行く。彼らの王はその前に進み、主はその先頭に立たれる。

3	1 And I said: "Hear now, O heads of Jacob, And you rulers of the house of Israel: Is it not for you to know justice?	わたしは言った、ヤコブのかしらたちよ、イスラエルの家のつかさたちよ、聞け、公義はあなたがたの知っておるべきことではないか。
3	2 You who hate good and love evil; Who strip the skin from My people, And the flesh from their bones;	あなたがたは善を憎み、悪を愛し、わが民の身から皮をはぎ、その骨から肉をそぎ、
3	3 Who also eat the flesh of My people, Flay their skin from them, Break their bones, And chop them in pieces Like meat for the pot, Like flesh in the caldron."	またわが民の肉を食らい、その皮をはぎ、その骨を砕き、これを切りきざんで、なべに入れる食物のようにし、大なべに入れる肉のようにする。
3	4 Then they will cry to the Lord, But He will not hear them; He will even hide His face from them at that time, Because they have been evil in their deeds.	こうして彼らが主に呼ばわっても、主はお答えにならない。かえってその時には、み顔を彼らに隠される。彼らのおこないが悪いからである。
3	5 Thus says the Lord concerning the prophets Who make my people stray; Who chant "Peace" While they chew with their teeth, But who prepare war against him Who puts nothing into their mouths:	わが民を惑わす預言者について主はこう言われる、彼らは食べ物のある時には、「平安」を叫ぶけれども、その口に何も与えない者にむかっては、宣戦を布告する。
3	6 "Therefore you shall have night without vision, And you shall have darkness without divination; The sun shall go down on the prophets, And the day shall be dark for them.	それゆえ、あなたがたには夜があっても幻がなく、暗やみがあっても占いがない。太陽はその預言者たちに没し、昼も彼らの上に暗くなる。
3	7 So the seers shall be ashamed, And the diviners abashed; Indeed they shall all cover their lips; For there is no answer from God."	先見者は恥をかき、占い師は顔をあからめ、彼らは皆そのくちびるをおおう。神の答がないからである。
3	8 But truly I am full of power by the Spirit of the Lord, And of justice and might, To declare to Jacob his transgression And to Israel his sin.	しかしわたしは主のみたまによって力に満ち、公義と勇気とに満たされ、ヤコブにそのとがを示し、イスラエルにその罪を示すことができる。
3	9 Now hear this, You heads of the house of Jacob And rulers of the house of Israel, Who abhor justice And pervert all equity,	ヤコブの家のかしらたち、イスラエルの家のつかさたちよ、すなわち公義を憎み、すべての正しい事を曲げる者よ、これを聞け。
3	10 Who build up Zion with bloodshed And Jerusalem with iniquity:	あなたがたは血をもってシオンを建て、不義をもってエルサレムを建てた。
3	11 Her heads judge for a bribe, Her priests teach for pay, And her prophets divine for money. Yet they lean on the Lord, and say, "Is not the Lord among us? No harm can come upon us."	そのかしらたちは、まいないをとってさばき、その祭司たちは価をとって教え、その預言者たちは金をとって占う。しかもなお彼らは主に寄り頼んで、「主はわれわれの中におられるではないか、だから災はわれわれに臨むことがない」と言う。
3	12 Therefore because of you Zion shall be plowed like a field, Jerusalem shall become heaps of ruins, And the mountain of the temple Like the bare hills of the forest.	それゆえ、シオンはあなたがたのゆえに／田畑となって耕され、エルサレムは石塚となり、宮の山は木のおい茂る高い所となる。

4	1 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the Lord's house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And peoples shall flow to it.	末の日になって、主の家の山はもろもろの山のかしらとして／堅く立てられ、もろもろの峰よりも高くあげられ、もろもろの民はこれに流れくる。
4	2Many nations shall come and say, "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths." For out of Zion the law shall go forth, And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.	多くの国民は来て言う、「さあ、われわれは主の山に登り、ヤコブの神の家に行こう。彼はその道をわれわれに教え、われわれはその道に歩もう」と。律法はシオンから出、主の言葉はエルサレムから出るからである。
4	3 He shall judge between many peoples, And rebuke strong nations afar off; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore.	彼は多くの民の間をさばき、遠い所まで強い国々のために仲裁される。そこで彼らはつるぎを打ちかえて、すきとし、そのやりを打ちかえて、かまとし、国は国にむかってつるぎをあげず、再び戦いのことを学ばない。
4	4 But everyone shall sit under his vine and under his fig tree, And no one shall make them afraid; For the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken.	彼らは皆そのぶどうの木の下に座し、そのいちじくの木の下にいる。彼らを恐れさせる者はない。これは万軍の主がその口で語られたことである。
4	5 For all people walk each in the name of his god, But we will walk in the name of the Lord our God Forever and ever.	すべての民はおのおのその神の名によって歩む。しかしわれわれは／われわれの神、主の名によって、とこしえに歩む。
4	6 "In that day," says the Lord, "I will assemble the lame, I will gather the outcast And those whom I have afflicted;	主は言われる、その日には、わたしはかの足のなえた者を集め、またかの追いやられた者および／わたしが苦しめた者を集め、
4	7 I will make the lame a remnant, And the outcast a strong nation; So the Lord will reign over them in Mount Zion From now on, even forever.	その足のなえた者を残れる民とし、遠く追いやられた者を強い国民とする。主はシオンの山で、今よりとこしえに／彼らを治められる。
4	8 And you, O tower of the flock, The stronghold of the daughter of Zion, To you shall it come, Even the former dominion shall come, The kingdom of the daughter of Jerusalem."	羊の群れのやぐら、シオンの娘の山よ、以前の主権はあなたに帰ってくる。すなわちエルサレムの娘の国は／あなたに帰ってくる。
4	9 Now why do you cry aloud? Is there no king in your midst? Has your counselor perished? For pangs have seized you like a woman in labor.	今あなたは何ゆえわめき叫ぶのか、あなたのうちに王がないのか。あなたの相談相手は絶えはて、産婦のように激しい痛みがあなたを捕えたのか。
4	10 Be in pain, and labor to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, Like a woman in birth pangs. For now you shall go forth from the city, You shall dwell in the field, And to Babylon you shall go. There you shall be delivered; There the Lord will redeem you From the hand of your enemies.	シオンの娘よ、産婦のように苦しんでうめけ。あなたは今、町を出て野にやどり、バビロンに行かなければならない。その所であなたは救われる。主はその所であなたを敵の手からあがなわれる。
4	11Now also many nations have gathered against you, Who say, "Let her be defiled, And let our eye look upon Zion."	いま多くの国民はあなたに逆らい、集まって言う、「どうかシオンが汚されるように、われわれの目がシオンを見てあざ笑うように」と。
4	12 But they do not know the thoughts of the Lord, Nor do they understand His counsel; For He will gather them like sheaves to the threshing floor.	しかし彼らは主の思いを知らず、またその計画を悟らない。すなわち主が麦束を打ち場に集めるように、彼らを集められることを悟らない。
4	13 "Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion; For I will make your horn iron, And I will make your hooves bronze; You shall beat in pieces many peoples; I will consecrate their gain to the Lord, And their substance to the Lord of the whole earth."	シオンの娘よ、立って打ちこなせ。わたしはあなたの角を鉄となし、あなたのひずめを青銅としよう。あなたは多くの民を打ち砕き、彼らのぶんどり物を主にささげ、彼らの富を全地の主にささげる。

5	1 Now gather yourself in troops, O daughter of troops; He has laid siege against us; They will strike the judge of Israel with a rod on the cheek.	今あなたは壁でとりまかれている。敵はわれわれを攻め囲み、つえをもってイスラエルのつかさのほおを撃つ。
5	2 "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting."	しかしベツレヘム・エフラタよ、あなたはユダの氏族のうちで小さい者だが、イスラエルを治める者があなたのうちから／わたしのために出る。その出るのは昔から、いにしえの日からである。
5	3 Therefore He shall give them up, Until the time that she who is in labor has given birth; Then the remnant of His brethren Shall return to the children of Israel.	それゆえ、産婦の産みおとす時まで、主は彼らを渡しおかれる。その後その兄弟たちの残れる者は／イスラエルの子らのもとに帰る。
5	4 And He shall stand and feed His flock In the strength of the Lord, In the majesty of the name of the Lord His God; And they shall abide, For now He shall be great To the ends of the earth;	彼は主の力により、その神、主の名の威光により、立ってその群れを養い、彼らを安らかにおらせる。今、彼は大いなる者となって、地の果にまで及ぶからである。
5	5 And this One shall be peace. When the Assyrian comes into our land, And when he treads in our palaces, Then we will raise against him Seven shepherds and eight princely men.	これは平和である。アッスリヤびとがわれわれの国に来て、われわれの土地を踏むとき、七人の牧者を起し、八人の君を起してこれに当らせる。
5	6 They shall waste with the sword the land of Assyria, And the land of Nimrod at its entrances; Thus He shall deliver us from the Assyrian, When he comes into our land And when he treads within our borders.	彼らはつるぎをもってアッスリヤの地を治め、ぬきみのつるぎをもってニムロデの地を治める。アッスリヤびとがわれわれの地に来て、われわれの境を踏み荒すとき、彼らはアッスリヤびとから、われわれを救う。
5	7 Then the remnant of Jacob Shall be in the midst of many peoples, Like dew from the Lord, Like showers on the grass, That tarry for no man Nor wait for the sons of men.	その時ヤコブの残れる者は多くの民の中にあること、人によらず、また人の子らを待たずに／主からくだる露のごとく、青草の上に降る夕立ちのようである。
5	8 And the remnant of Jacob Shall be among the Gentiles, In the midst of many peoples, Like a lion among the beasts of the forest, Like a young lion among flocks of sheep, Who, if he passes through, Both treads down and tears in pieces, And none can deliver.	またヤコブの残れる者が国々の中におり、多くの民の中にいること、林の獣の中のししのごとく、羊の群れの中の若いししのようである。それが過ぎるときは踏み、かつ裂いて救う者はない。
5	9 Your hand shall be lifted against your adversaries, And all your enemies shall be cut off.	あなたの手はもろもろのあだの上にあげられ、あなたの敵はことごとく断たれる。
5	10 "And it shall be in that day," says the Lord, "That I will cut off your horses from your midst And destroy your chariots.	主は言われる、その日には、わたしはあなたのうちから馬を絶やし、戦車をこわし、
5	11 I will cut off the cities of your land And throw down all your strongholds.	あなたの国の町々を絶やし、あなたの城をことごとくくつがえす。
5	12 I will cut off sorceries from your hand, And you shall have no soothsayers.	またあなたの手から魔術を絶やす。あなたのうちには占い師がないようになる。
5	13 Your carved images I will also cut off, And your sacred pillars from your midst; You shall no more worship the work of your hands;	またあなたのうちから彫像および石の柱を絶やす。あなたは重ねて手で作った物を拝むことはない。
5	14 I will pluck your wooden images from your midst; Thus I will destroy your cities.	またあなたのうちからアシラ像を抜き倒し、あなたの町々を滅ぼす。
5	15 And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury On the nations that have not heard."	そしてわたしは怒りと憤りとをもって／その聞き従わないもろもろの国民に復讐する。

6	1 Hear now what the Lord says: "Arise, plead your case before the mountains, And let the hills hear your voice.	あなたがたは／主の言われることを聞き、立ちあがって、もろもろの山の前に訴えをのべ、もろもろの丘にあなたの声を聞かせよ。
6	2 Hear, O you mountains, the Lord's complaint, And you strong foundations of the earth; For the Lord has a complaint against His people, And He will contend with Israel.	もろもろの山よ、地の変ることなき基よ、主の言い争いを聞け。主はその民と言い争い、イスラエルと論争されるからである。
6	3 "O My people, what have I done to you? And how have I wearied you? Testify against Me.	「わが民よ、わたしはあなたに何をなしたか、何によってあなたを疲れさせたか、わたしに答えよ。
6	4 For I brought you up from the land of Egypt, I redeemed you from the house of bondage; And I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.	わたしはエジプトの国からあなたを導きのぼり、奴隷の家からあなたをあがない出し、モーセ、アロンおよびミリアムをつかわして、あなたに先だたせた。
6	5 O My people, remember now What Balak king of Moab counseled, And what Balaam the son of Beor answered him, From Acacia Grove to Gilgal, That you may know the righteousness of the Lord."	わが民よ、モアブの王バラクがたくらんだ事、ベオルの子バラムが彼に答えた事、シッテムからギルガルに至るまでに／起った事どもを思い起せ。そうすれば、あなたは主の正義のみわざを／知るであろう」。
6	6 With what shall I come before the Lord, And bow myself before the High God? Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, With calves a year old?	「わたしは何をもって主のみ前に行き、高き神を拝すべきか。燔祭および当歳の子牛をもって／そのみ前に行くべきか。
6	7 Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, Ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?	主は数千の雄羊、万流の油を喜ばれるだろうか。わがとがのためにわが長子をささぐべきか。わが魂の罪のためにわが身の子をささぐべきか」。
6	8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?	人よ、彼はさきによい事のなんであるかを／あなたに告げられた。主のあなたに求められることは、ただ公義をおこない、いつくしみを愛し、へりくだってあなたの神と共に歩むことではないか。
6	9 The Lord's voice cries to the city-- Wisdom shall see Your name: "Hear the Rod! Who has appointed it?	主の声が町にむかって呼ばわる――全き知恵はあなたの名を恐れることである――「部族および町の会衆よ、聞け。
6	10 Are there yet the treasures of wickedness In the house of the wicked, And the short measure that is an abomination?	わたしは悪人の家にある不義の財宝、のろうべき不正な枡を忘れ得ようか。
6	11 Shall I count pure those with the wicked scales, And with the bag of deceitful weights?	不正なはかりを用い、偽りのおもしを入れた袋を用いる人を／わたしは罪なしとするだろうか。
6	12 For her rich men are full of violence, Her inhabitants have spoken lies, And their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.	あなたのうちの富める人は暴虐で満ち、あなたの住民は偽りを言い、その舌は口で欺くことをなす。
6	13 "Therefore I will also make you sick by striking you, By making you desolate because of your sins.	それゆえ、わたしはあなたを撃ち、あなたをその罪のために滅ぼすことを始めた。
6	14 You shall eat, but not be satisfied; Hunger shall be in your midst. You may carry some away, but shall not save them; And what you do rescue I will give over to the sword.	あなたは食べても、飽くことがなく、あなたの腹はいつもひもじい。あなたは移しても、救うことができない。あなたが救う者を、わたしはつるぎにわたす。

7	1 Woe is me! For I am like those who gather summer fruits, Like those who glean vintage grapes; There is no cluster to eat Of the first-ripe fruit which my soul desires.	わざわいなるかな、わたしは夏のくだものを集める時のように、ぶどうの収穫の残りを集める時のようになった。食らうべきぶどうはなく、わが心の好む初なりのいちじくもない。
7	2 The faithful man has perished from the earth, And there is no one upright among men. They all lie in wait for blood; Every man hunts his brother with a net.	神を敬う人は地に絶え、人のうちに正しい者はない。みな血を流そうと待ち伏せし、おのおの網をもってその兄弟を捕える。
7	3 That they may successfully do evil with both hands-- The prince asks for gifts, The judge seeks a bribe, And the great man utters his evil desire; So they scheme together.	両手は悪い事をしようと努めてやまない。つかさと裁判官はまいないを求め、大いなる人はその心の悪い欲望を言いあらわし、こうして彼らはその悪を仕組む。
7	4 The best of them is like a brier; The most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge; The day of your watchman and your punishment comes; Now shall be their perplexity.	彼らの最もよい者もいばらのごとく、最も正しい者もいばらのいけがきのようだ。彼らの見張びとの日、すなわち彼らの刑罰の日が来る。いまや彼らの混乱が近い。
7	5 Do not trust in a friend; Do not put your confidence in a companion; Guard the doors of your mouth From her who lies in your bosom.	あなたがたは隣り人を信じてはならない。友人をたのんではならない。あなたのふところに寝る者にも、あなたの口の戸を守れ。
7	6 For son dishonors father, Daughter rises against her mother, Daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; A man's enemies are the men of his own household.	むすこは父をいやしめ、娘はその母にそむき、嫁はそのしゅうとめにそむく。人の敵はその家の者である。
7	7 Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me.	しかし、わたしは主を仰ぎ見、わが救の神を待つ。わが神はわたしの願いを聞かれる。
7	8 Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The Lord will be a light to me.	わが敵よ、わたしについて喜ぶな。たといわたしが倒れるとも起きあがる。たといわたしが暗やみの中にすわるとも、主はわが光となられる。
7	9 I will bear the indignation of the Lord, Because I have sinned against Him, Until He pleads my case And executes justice for me. He will bring me forth to the light; I will see His righteousness.	主はわが訴えを取りあげ、わたしのためにさばきを行われるまで、わたしは主の怒りを負わなければならない。主に対して罪を犯したからである。主はわたしを光に導き出してくださる。わたしは主の正義を見るであろう。
7	10 Then she who is my enemy will see, And shame will cover her who said to me, "Where is the Lord your God?" My eyes will see her; Now she will be trampled down Like mud in the streets.	その時「あなたの神、主はどこにいるか」と／わたしに言ったわが敵は、これを見て恥をこうむり、わが目は彼を見てあざ笑う。彼は街路の泥のように踏みつけられる。
7	11 In the day when your walls are to be built, In that day the decree shall go far and wide.	あなたの城壁を築く日が来る。その日には国境が遠く広がる。
7	12 In that day they shall come to you From Assyria and the fortified cities, From the fortress to the River, From sea to sea, And mountain to mountain.	その日にはアッスリヤからエジプトまで、エジプトからユフラテ川まで、海から海まで、山から山まで、人々はあなたに来る。
7	13 Yet the land shall be desolate Because of those who dwell in it, And for the fruit of their deeds.	しかしかの地はその住民のゆえに、そのおこないの実によって荒れはてる。
7	14 Shepherd Your people with Your staff, The flock of Your heritage, Who dwell solitarily in a woodland, In the midst of Carmel; Let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, As in days of old.	どうか、あなたのつえをもってあなたの民、すなわち園の中の林にひとりおる／あなたの嗣業の羊を牧し、いにしえの日のようにバシャンとギレアデで、彼らを養ってください。
7	15 "As in the days when you came out of the land of Egypt, I will show them wonders."	あなたがエジプトの国を出た時のように、わたしはもろもろの不思議な事を彼らに示す。
7	16 The nations shall see and be ashamed of all their might; They shall put their hand over their mouth; Their ears shall be deaf.	国々の民は見て、そのすべての力を恥じ、その手を口にあて、その耳は聞えぬ耳となる。
7	17 They shall lick the dust like a serpent; They shall crawl from their holes like snakes of the earth. They shall be afraid of the Lord our God, And shall fear because of You.	彼らはへびのように、地に這うもののようにちりをなめ、震えながらその城から出、おののきつつ、われわれの神、主に近づいてきて、あなたのために恐れる。
7	18 Who is a God like You, Pardoning iniquity And passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy.	だれかあなたのように不義をゆるし、その嗣業の残れる者のために／とがを見過ごされる神があろうか。神はいつくしみを喜ばれるので、その怒りをながく保たず、
7	19 He will again have compassion on us, And will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins Into the depths of the sea.	再びわれわれをあわれみ、われわれの不義を足で踏みつけられる。あなたはわれわれのもろもろの罪を／海の深みに投げ入れ、
7	20 You will give truth to Jacob And mercy to Abraham, Which You have sworn to our fathers From days of old.	昔からわれわれの先祖たちに誓われたように、真実をヤコブに示し、いつくしみをアブラハムに示される。
