ヤコブの手紙	James 1	1
1	1 James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings.	神と主イエス・キリストとの僕ヤコブから、離散している十二部族の人々へ、あいさつをおくる。
1	2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,	わたしの兄弟たちよ。あなたがたが、いろいろな試錬に会った場合、それをむしろ非常に喜ばしいことと思いなさい。
1	3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.	あなたがたの知っているとおり、信仰がためされることによって、忍耐が生み出されるからである。
1	4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.	だから、なんら欠点のない、完全な、でき上がった人となるように、その忍耐力を十分に働かせるがよい。
1	5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.	あなたがたのうち、知恵に不足している者があれば、その人は、とがめもせずに惜しみなくすべての人に与える神に、願い求めるがよい。そうすれば、与えられるであろう。
1	6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.	ただ、疑わないで、信仰をもって願い求めなさい。疑う人は、風の吹くままに揺れ動く海の波に似ている。
1	7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;	そういう人は、主から何かをいただけるもののように思うべきではない。
1	8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.	そんな人間は、二心の者であって、そのすべての行動に安定がない。
1	9 Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation,	低い身分の兄弟は、自分が高くされたことを喜びなさい。
1	10 but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away.	また、富んでいる者は、自分が低くされたことを喜ぶがよい。富んでいる者は、草花のように過ぎ去るからである。
1	11 For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits.	たとえば、太陽が上って熱風をおくると、草を枯らす。そしてその花は落ち、その美しい姿は消えうせてしまう。それと同じように、富んでいる者も、その一生の旅なかばで没落するであろう。
1	12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.	試錬を耐え忍ぶ人は、さいわいである。それを忍びとおしたなら、神を愛する者たちに約束されたいのちの冠を受けるであろう。
1	13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.	だれでも誘惑に会う場合、「この誘惑は、神からきたものだ」と言ってはならない。神は悪の誘惑に陥るようなかたではなく、また自ら進んで人を誘惑することもなさらない。
1	14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.	人が誘惑に陥るのは、それぞれ、欲に引かれ、さそわれるからである。
1	15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.	欲がはらんで罪を生み、罪が熟して死を生み出す。
1	16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.	愛する兄弟たちよ。思い違いをしてはいけない。
1	17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.	あらゆる良い贈り物、あらゆる完全な賜物は、上から、光の父から下って来る。父には、変化とか回転の影とかいうものはない。
1	18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.	父は、わたしたちを、いわば被造物の初穂とするために、真理の言葉によって御旨のままに、生み出して下さったのである。
1	19 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;	愛する兄弟たちよ。このことを知っておきなさい。人はすべて、聞くに早く、語るにおそく、怒るにおそくあるべきである。
1	20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.	人の怒りは、神の義を全うするものではないからである。
1	21Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.	だから、すべての汚れや、はなはだしい悪を捨て去って、心に植えつけられている御言を、すなおに受け入れなさい。御言には、あなたがたのたましいを救う力がある。
1	22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.	そして、御言を行う人になりなさい。おのれを欺いて、ただ聞くだけの者となってはいけない。
1	23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;	おおよそ御言を聞くだけで行わない人は、ちょうど、自分の生れつきの顔を鏡に映して見る人のようである。
1	24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.	彼は自分を映して見てそこから立ち去ると、そのとたんに、自分の姿がどんなであったかを忘れてしまう。
1	25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.	これに反して、完全な自由の律法を一心に見つめてたゆまない人は、聞いて忘れてしまう人ではなくて、実際に行う人である。こういう人は、その行いによって祝福される。
1	26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one's religion is useless.	もし人が信心深い者だと自任しながら、舌を制することをせず、自分の心を欺いているならば、その人の信心はむなしいものである。
1	27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.	父なる神のみまえに清く汚れのない信心とは、困っている孤児や、やもめを見舞い、自らは世の汚れに染まずに、身を清く保つことにほかならない。

2	1 My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality.	わたしの兄弟たちよ。わたしたちの栄光の主イエス・キリストへの信仰を守るのに、分け隔てをしてはならない。
2	2 For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes,	たとえば、あなたがたの会堂に、金の指輪をはめ、りっぱな着物を着た人がはいって来ると同時に、みすぼらしい着物を着た貧しい人がはいってきたとする。
2	3 and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, "You sit here in a good place," and say to the poor man, "You stand there," or, "Sit here at my footstool,"	その際、りっぱな着物を着た人に対しては、うやうやしく「どうぞ、こちらの良い席にお掛け下さい」と言い、貧しい人には、「あなたは、そこに立っていなさい。それとも、わたしの足もとにすわっているがよい」と言ったとしたら、
2	4 have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?	あなたがたは、自分たちの間で差別立てをし、よからぬ考えで人をさばく者になったわけではないか。
2	5 Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?	愛する兄弟たちよ。よく聞きなさい。神は、この世の貧しい人たちを選んで信仰に富ませ、神を愛する者たちに約束された御国の相続者とされたではないか。
2	6 But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts?	しかるに、あなたがたは貧しい人をはずかしめたのである。あなたがたをしいたげ、裁判所に引きずり込むのは、富んでいる者たちではないか。
2	7 Do they not blaspheme that noble name by which you are called?	あなたがたに対して唱えられた尊い御名を汚すのは、実に彼らではないか。
2	8 If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you do well;	しかし、もしあなたがたが、「自分を愛するように、あなたの隣り人を愛せよ」という聖書の言葉に従って、このきわめて尊い律法を守るならば、それは良いことである。
2	9 but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.	しかし、もし分け隔てをするならば、あなたがたは罪を犯すことになり、律法によって違反者として宣告される。
2	10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.	なぜなら、律法をことごとく守ったとしても、その一つの点にでも落ち度があれば、全体を犯したことになるからである。
2	11 For He who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said, "Do not murder." Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.	たとえば、「姦淫するな」と言われたかたは、また「殺すな」とも仰せになった。そこで、たとい姦淫はしなくても、人殺しをすれば、律法の違反者になったことになる。
2	12 So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.	だから、自由の律法によってさばかるべき者らしく語り、かつ行いなさい。
2	13 For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.	あわれみを行わなかった者に対しては、仮借のないさばきが下される。あわれみは、さばきにうち勝つ。
2	14What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?	わたしの兄弟たちよ。ある人が自分には信仰があると称していても、もし行いがなかったら、なんの役に立つか。その信仰は彼を救うことができるか。
2	15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food,	ある兄弟または姉妹が裸でいて、その日の食物にもこと欠いている場合、
2	16 and one of you says to them, "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?	あなたがたのうち、だれかが、「安らかに行きなさい。暖まって、食べ飽きなさい」と言うだけで、そのからだに必要なものを何ひとつ与えなかったとしたら、なんの役に立つか。
2	17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.	信仰も、それと同様に、行いを伴わなければ、それだけでは死んだものである。
2	18 But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.	しかし、「ある人には信仰があり、またほかの人には行いがある」と言う者があろう。それなら、行いのないあなたの信仰なるものを見せてほしい。そうしたら、わたしの行いによって信仰を見せてあげよう。
2	19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe--and tremble!	あなたは、神はただひとりであると信じているのか。それは結構である。悪霊どもでさえ、信じておののいている。
2	20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?	ああ、愚かな人よ。行いを伴わない信仰のむなしいことを知りたいのか。
2	21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?	わたしたちの父祖アブラハムは、その子イサクを祭壇にささげた時、行いによって義とされたのではなかったか。
2	22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?	あなたが知っているとおり、彼においては、信仰が行いと共に働き、その行いによって信仰が全うされ、
2	23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." And he was called the friend of God.	こうして、「アブラハムは神を信じた。それによって、彼は義と認められた」という聖書の言葉が成就し、そして、彼は「神の友」と唱えられたのである。
2	24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.	これでわかるように、人が義とされるのは、行いによるのであって、信仰だけによるのではない。
2	25Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?	同じように、かの遊女ラハブでさえも、使者たちをもてなし、彼らを別な道から送り出した時、行いによって義とされたではないか。
2	26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.	霊魂のないからだが死んだものであると同様に、行いのない信仰も死んだものなのである。

3	1 My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.	わたしの兄弟たちよ。あなたがたのうち多くの者は、教師にならないがよい。わたしたち教師が、他の人たちよりも、もっときびしいさばきを受けることが、よくわかっているからである。
3	2 For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.	わたしたちは皆、多くのあやまちを犯すものである。もし、言葉の上であやまちのない人があれば、そういう人は、全身をも制御することのできる完全な人である。
3	3 Indeed, we put bits in horses' mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body.	馬を御するために、その口にくつわをはめるなら、その全身を引きまわすことができる。
3	4 Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires.	また船を見るがよい。船体が非常に大きく、また激しい風に吹きまくられても、ごく小さなかじ一つで、操縦者の思いのままに運転される。
3	5 Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles!	それと同じく、舌は小さな器官ではあるが、よく大言壮語する。見よ、ごく小さな火でも、非常に大きな森を燃やすではないか。
3	6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.	舌は火である。不義の世界である。舌は、わたしたちの器官の一つとしてそなえられたものであるが、全身を汚し、生存の車輪を燃やし、自らは地獄の火で焼かれる。
3	7 For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind.	あらゆる種類の獣、鳥、這うもの、海の生物は、すべて人類に制せられるし、また制せられてきた。
3	8 But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.	ところが、舌を制しうる人は、ひとりもいない。それは、制しにくい悪であって、死の毒に満ちている。
3	9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God.	わたしたちは、この舌で父なる主をさんびし、また、その同じ舌で、神にかたどって造られた人間をのろっている。
3	10Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.	同じ口から、さんびとのろいとが出て来る。わたしの兄弟たちよ。このような事は、あるべきでない。
3	11 Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening?	泉が、甘い水と苦い水とを、同じ穴からふき出すことがあろうか。
3	12 Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh.	わたしの兄弟たちよ。いちじくの木がオリブの実を結び、ぶどうの木がいちじくの実を結ぶことができようか。塩水も、甘い水を出すことはできない。
3	13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.	あなたがたのうちで、知恵があり物わかりのよい人は、だれであるか。その人は、知恵にかなう柔和な行いをしていることを、よい生活によって示すがよい。
3	14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth.	しかし、もしあなたがたの心の中に、苦々しいねたみや党派心をいだいているのなら、誇り高ぶってはならない。また、真理にそむいて偽ってはならない。
3	15This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.	そのような知恵は、上から下ってきたものではなくて、地につくもの、肉に属するもの、悪魔的なものである。
3	16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.	ねたみと党派心とのあるところには、混乱とあらゆる忌むべき行為とがある。
3	17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.	しかし上からの知恵は、第一に清く、次に平和、寛容、温順であり、あわれみと良い実とに満ち、かたより見ず、偽りがない。
3	18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.	義の実は、平和を造り出す人たちによって、平和のうちにまかれるものである。
ヤコブの手紙	James 4	4
4	1 Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members?	あなたがたの中の戦いや争いは、いったい、どこから起るのか。それはほかではない。あなたがたの肢体の中で相戦う欲情からではないか。
4	2You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.	あなたがたは、むさぼるが得られない。そこで人殺しをする。熱望するが手に入れることができない。そこで争い戦う。あなたがたは、求めないから得られないのだ。
4	3You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.	求めても与えられないのは、快楽のために使おうとして、悪い求め方をするからだ。
4	4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.	不貞のやからよ。世を友とするのは、神への敵対であることを、知らないか。おおよそ世の友となろうと思う者は、自らを神の敵とするのである。
4	5 Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, "The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously"?	それとも、「神は、わたしたちの内に住まわせた霊を、ねたむほどに愛しておられる」と聖書に書いてあるのは、むなしい言葉だと思うのか。
4	6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."	しかし神は、いや増しに恵みを賜う。であるから、「神は高ぶる者をしりぞけ、へりくだる者に恵みを賜う」とある。
4	7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.	そういうわけだから、神に従いなさい。そして、悪魔に立ちむかいなさい。そうすれば、彼はあなたがたから逃げ去るであろう。
4	8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.	神に近づきなさい。そうすれば、神はあなたがたに近づいて下さるであろう。罪人どもよ、手をきよめよ。二心の者どもよ、心を清くせよ。
4	9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom.	苦しめ、悲しめ、泣け。あなたがたの笑いを悲しみに、喜びを憂いに変えよ。
4	10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.	主のみまえにへりくだれ。そうすれば、主は、あなたがたを高くして下さるであろう。
4	11 Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.	兄弟たちよ。互に悪口を言い合ってはならない。兄弟の悪口を言ったり、自分の兄弟をさばいたりする者は、律法をそしり、律法をさばくやからである。もしあなたが律法をさばくなら、律法の実行者ではなくて、その審判者なのである。
4	12 There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?	しかし、立法者であり審判者であるかたは、ただひとりであって、救うことも滅ぼすこともできるのである。しかるに、隣り人をさばくあなたは、いったい、何者であるか。
4	13 Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit";	よく聞きなさい。「きょうか、あす、これこれの町へ行き、そこに一か年滞在し、商売をして一もうけしよう」と言う者たちよ。
4	14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.	あなたがたは、あすのこともわからぬ身なのだ。あなたがたのいのちは、どんなものであるか。あなたがたは、しばしの間あらわれて、たちまち消え行く霧にすぎない。
4	15 Instead you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that."	むしろ、あなたがたは「主のみこころであれば、わたしは生きながらえもし、あの事この事もしよう」と言うべきである。
4	16 But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.	ところが、あなたがたは誇り高ぶっている。このような高慢は、すべて悪である。
4	17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.	人が、なすべき善を知りながら行わなければ、それは彼にとって罪である。
ヤコブの手紙	James 5	5
5	1 Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you!	富んでいる人たちよ。よく聞きなさい。あなたがたは、自分の身に降りかかろうとしているわざわいを思って、泣き叫ぶがよい。
5	2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten.	あなたがたの富は朽ち果て、着物はむしばまれ、
5	3 Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days.	金銀はさびている。そして、そのさびの毒は、あなたがたの罪を責め、あなたがたの肉を火のように食いつくすであろう。あなたがたは、終りの時にいるのに、なお宝をたくわえている。
5	4 Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.	見よ、あなたがたが労働者たちに畑の刈入れをさせながら、支払わずにいる賃銀が、叫んでいる。そして、刈入れをした人たちの叫び声が、すでに万軍の主の耳に達している。
5	5 You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury; you have fattened your hearts as in a day of slaughter.	あなたがたは、地上でおごり暮し、快楽にふけり、「ほふらるる日」のために、おのが心を肥やしている。
5	6 You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you.	そして、義人を罪に定め、これを殺した。しかも彼は、あなたがたに抵抗しない。
5	7Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.	だから、兄弟たちよ。主の来臨の時まで耐え忍びなさい。見よ、農夫は、地の尊い実りを、前の雨と後の雨とがあるまで、耐え忍んで待っている。
5	8 You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.	あなたがたも、主の来臨が近づいているから、耐え忍びなさい。心を強くしていなさい。
5	9 Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door!	兄弟たちよ。互に不平を言い合ってはならない。さばきを受けるかも知れないから。見よ、さばき主が、すでに戸口に立っておられる。
5	10 My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience.	兄弟たちよ。苦しみを耐え忍ぶことについては、主の御名によって語った預言者たちを模範にするがよい。
5	11 Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord--that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.	忍び抜いた人たちはさいわいであると、わたしたちは思う。あなたがたは、ヨブの忍耐のことを聞いている。また、主が彼になさったことの結末を見て、主がいかに慈愛とあわれみとに富んだかたであるかが、わかるはずである。
5	12 But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your "Yes," be "Yes," and your "No," "No," lest you fall into judgment.	さて、わたしの兄弟たちよ。何はともあれ、誓いをしてはならない。天をさしても、地をさしても、あるいは、そのほかのどんな誓いによっても、いっさい誓ってはならない。むしろ、「しかり」を「しかり」とし、「否」を「否」としなさい。そうしないと、あなたがたは、さばきを受けることになる。
5	13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms.	あなたがたの中に、苦しんでいる者があるか。その人は、祈るがよい。喜んでいる者があるか。その人は、さんびするがよい。
5	14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.	あなたがたの中に、病んでいる者があるか。その人は、教会の長老たちを招き、主の御名によって、オリブ油を注いで祈ってもらうがよい。
5	15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.	信仰による祈は、病んでいる人を救い、そして、主はその人を立ちあがらせて下さる。かつ、その人が罪を犯していたなら、それもゆるされる。
5	16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.	だから、互に罪を告白し合い、また、いやされるようにお互のために祈りなさい。義人の祈は、大いに力があり、効果のあるものである。
5	17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.	エリヤは、わたしたちと同じ人間であったが、雨が降らないようにと祈をささげたところ、三年六か月のあいだ、地上に雨が降らなかった。
5	18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.	それから、ふたたび祈ったところ、天は雨を降らせ、地はその実をみのらせた。
5	19Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back,	わたしの兄弟たちよ。あなたがたのうち、真理の道から踏み迷う者があり、だれかが彼を引きもどすなら、
5	20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.	かように罪人を迷いの道から引きもどす人は、そのたましいを死から救い出し、かつ、多くの罪をおおうものであることを、知るべきである。
