マルコの福音書 Mark 1 1
1 1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. 神の子イエス・キリストの福音のはじめ。
1 2As it is written in the Prophets: "Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare Your way before You." 預言者イザヤの書に、「見よ、わたしは使をあなたの先につかわし、あなたの道を整えさせるであろう。
1 3 "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: 'Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight.' " 荒野で呼ばわる者の声がする、『主の道を備えよ、その道筋をまっすぐにせよ』」と書いてあるように、
1 4 John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. バプテスマのヨハネが荒野に現れて、罪のゆるしを得させる悔改めのバプテスマを宣べ伝えていた。
1 5 Then all the land of Judea, and those from Jerusalem, went out to him and were all baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins. そこで、ユダヤ全土とエルサレムの全住民とが、彼のもとにぞくぞくと出て行って、自分の罪を告白し、ヨルダン川でヨハネからバプテスマを受けた。
1 6Now John was clothed with camel's hair and with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey. このヨハネは、らくだの毛ごろもを身にまとい、腰に皮の帯をしめ、いなごと野蜜とを食物としていた。
1 7 And he preached, saying, "There comes One after me who is mightier than I, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to stoop down and loose. 彼は宣べ伝えて言った、「わたしよりも力のあるかたが、あとからおいでになる。わたしはかがんで、そのくつのひもを解く値うちもない。
1 8 I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit." わたしは水でバプテスマを授けたが、このかたは、聖霊によってバプテスマをお授けになるであろう」。
1 9 It came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan. そのころ、イエスはガリラヤのナザレから出てきて、ヨルダン川で、ヨハネからバプテスマをお受けになった。
1 10 And immediately, coming up from the water, He saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove. そして、水の中から上がられるとすぐ、天が裂けて、聖霊がはとのように自分に下って来るのを、ごらんになった。
1 11 Then a voice came from heaven, "You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." すると天から声があった、「あなたはわたしの愛する子、わたしの心にかなう者である」。
1 12 Immediately the Spirit drove Him into the wilderness. それからすぐに、御霊がイエスを荒野に追いやった。
1 13 And He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to Him. イエスは四十日のあいだ荒野にいて、サタンの試みにあわれた。そして獣もそこにいたが、御使たちはイエスに仕えていた。
1 14 Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, ヨハネが捕えられた後、イエスはガリラヤに行き、神の福音を宣べ伝えて言われた、
1 15 and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel." 「時は満ちた、神の国は近づいた。悔い改めて福音を信ぜよ」。
1 16 And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. さて、イエスはガリラヤの海べを歩いて行かれ、シモンとシモンの兄弟アンデレとが、海で網を打っているのをごらんになった。彼らは漁師であった。
1 17 Then Jesus said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men." イエスは彼らに言われた、「わたしについてきなさい。あなたがたを、人間をとる漁師にしてあげよう」。
1 18 They immediately left their nets and followed Him. すると、彼らはすぐに網を捨てて、イエスに従った。
1 19 When He had gone a little farther from there, He saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending their nets. また少し進んで行かれると、ゼベダイの子ヤコブとその兄弟ヨハネとが、舟の中で網を繕っているのをごらんになった。
1 20 And immediately He called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and went after Him. そこで、すぐ彼らをお招きになると、父ゼベダイを雇人たちと一緒に舟において、イエスのあとについて行った。
1 21 Then they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath He entered the synagogue and taught. それから、彼らはカペナウムに行った。そして安息日にすぐ、イエスは会堂にはいって教えられた。
1 22 And they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. 人々は、その教に驚いた。律法学者たちのようにではなく、権威ある者のように、教えられたからである。
1 23 Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, ちょうどその時、けがれた霊につかれた者が会堂にいて、叫んで言った、
1 24 saying, "Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are--the Holy One of God!" 「ナザレのイエスよ、あなたはわたしたちとなんの係わりがあるのです。わたしたちを滅ぼしにこられたのですか。あなたがどなたであるか、わかっています。神の聖者です」。
1 25 But Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be quiet, and come out of him!" イエスはこれをしかって、「黙れ、この人から出て行け」と言われた。
1 26 And when the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him. すると、けがれた霊は彼をひきつけさせ、大声をあげて、その人から出て行った。
1 27 Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, "What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him." 人々はみな驚きのあまり、互に論じて言った、「これは、いったい何事か。権威ある新しい教だ。けがれた霊にさえ命じられると、彼らは従うのだ」。
1 28 And immediately His fame spread throughout all the region around Galilee. こうしてイエスのうわさは、たちまちガリラヤの全地方、いたる所にひろまった。
1 29 Now as soon as they had come out of the synagogue, they entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. それから会堂を出るとすぐ、ヤコブとヨハネとを連れて、シモンとアンデレとの家にはいって行かれた。
1 30 But Simon's wife's mother lay sick with a fever, and they told Him about her at once. ところが、シモンのしゅうとめが熱病で床についていたので、人々はさっそく、そのことをイエスに知らせた。
1 31 So He came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and immediately the fever left her. And she served them. イエスは近寄り、その手をとって起されると、熱が引き、女は彼らをもてなした。
1 32 At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to Him all who were sick and those who were demon-possessed. 夕暮になり日が沈むと、人々は病人や悪霊につかれた者をみな、イエスのところに連れてきた。
1 33 And the whole city was gathered together at the door. こうして、町中の者が戸口に集まった。
1 34 Then He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him. イエスは、さまざまの病をわずらっている多くの人々をいやし、また多くの悪霊を追い出された。また、悪霊どもに、物言うことをお許しにならなかった。彼らがイエスを知っていたからである。
1 35 Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. 朝はやく、夜の明けるよほど前に、イエスは起きて寂しい所へ出て行き、そこで祈っておられた。
1 36 And Simon and those who were with Him searched for Him. すると、シモンとその仲間とが、あとを追ってきた。
1 37 When they found Him, they said to Him, "Everyone is looking for You." そしてイエスを見つけて、「みんなが、あなたを捜しています」と言った。
1 38 But He said to them, "Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth." イエスは彼らに言われた、「ほかの、附近の町々にみんなで行って、そこでも教を宣べ伝えよう。わたしはこのために出てきたのだから」。
1 39 And He was preaching in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and casting out demons. そして、ガリラヤ全地を巡りあるいて、諸会堂で教えを宣べ伝え、また悪霊を追い出された。
1 40Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, "If You are willing, You can make me clean." ひとりのらい病人が、イエスのところに願いにきて、ひざまずいて言った、「みこころでしたら、きよめていただけるのですが」。
1 41 Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, "I am willing; be cleansed." イエスは深くあわれみ、手を伸ばして彼にさわり、「そうしてあげよう、きよくなれ」と言われた。
1 42 As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed. すると、らい病が直ちに去って、その人はきよくなった。
1 43 And He strictly warned him and sent him away at once, イエスは彼をきびしく戒めて、すぐにそこを去らせ、こう言い聞かせられた、
1 44 and said to him, "See that you say nothing to anyone; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing those things which Moses commanded, as a testimony to them." 「何も人に話さないように、注意しなさい。ただ行って、自分のからだを祭司に見せ、それから、モーセが命じた物をあなたのきよめのためにささげて、人々に証明しなさい」。
1 45 However, he went out and began to proclaim it freely, and to spread the matter, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter the city, but was outside in deserted places; and they came to Him from every direction. しかし、彼は出て行って、自分の身に起ったことを盛んに語り、また言いひろめはじめたので、イエスはもはや表立っては町に、はいることができなくなり、外の寂しい所にとどまっておられた。しかし、人々は方々から、イエスのところにぞくぞくと集まってきた。

2 1 And again He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house. 幾日かたって、イエスがまたカペナウムにお帰りになったとき、家におられるといううわさが立ったので、
2 2 Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them. 多くの人々が集まってきて、もはや戸口のあたりまでも、すきまが無いほどになった。そして、イエスは御言を彼らに語っておられた。
2 3 Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men. すると、人々がひとりの中風の者を四人の人に運ばせて、イエスのところに連れてきた。
2 4And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying. ところが、群衆のために近寄ることができないので、イエスのおられるあたりの屋根をはぎ、穴をあけて、中風の者を寝かせたまま、床をつりおろした。
2 5 When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, "Son, your sins are forgiven you." イエスは彼らの信仰を見て、中風の者に、「子よ、あなたの罪はゆるされた」と言われた。
2 6 And some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, ところが、そこに幾人かの律法学者がすわっていて、心の中で論じた、
2 7 "Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? Who can forgive sins but God alone?" 「この人は、なぜあんなことを言うのか。それは神をけがすことだ。神ひとりのほかに、だれが罪をゆるすことができるか」。
2 8 But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, "Why do you reason about these things in your hearts? イエスは、彼らが内心このように論じているのを、自分の心ですぐ見ぬいて、「なぜ、あなたがたは心の中でそんなことを論じているのか。
2 9 Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or to say, 'Arise, take up your bed and walk'? 中風の者に、あなたの罪はゆるされた、と言うのと、起きよ、床を取りあげて歩け、と言うのと、どちらがたやすいか。
2 10But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins"--He said to the paralytic, しかし、人の子は地上で罪をゆるす権威をもっていることが、あなたがたにわかるために」と彼らに言い、中風の者にむかって、
2 11 I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house." 「あなたに命じる。起きよ、床を取りあげて家に帰れ」と言われた。
2 12 Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, "We never saw anything like this!" すると彼は起きあがり、すぐに床を取りあげて、みんなの前を出て行ったので、一同は大いに驚き、神をあがめて、「こんな事は、まだ一度も見たことがない」と言った。
2 13 Then He went out again by the sea; and all the multitude came to Him, and He taught them. イエスはまた海べに出て行かれると、多くの人々がみもとに集まってきたので、彼らを教えられた。
2 14 As He passed by, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, "Follow Me." So he arose and followed Him. また途中で、アルパヨの子レビが収税所にすわっているのをごらんになって、「わたしに従ってきなさい」と言われた。すると彼は立ちあがって、イエスに従った。
2 15 Now it happened, as He was dining in Levi's house, that many tax collectors and sinners also sat together with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many, and they followed Him. それから彼の家で、食事の席についておられたときのことである。多くの取税人や罪人たちも、イエスや弟子たちと共にその席に着いていた。こんな人たちが大ぜいいて、イエスに従ってきたのである。
2 16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw Him eating with the tax collectors and sinners, they said to His disciples, "How is it that He eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?" パリサイ派の律法学者たちは、イエスが罪人や取税人たちと食事を共にしておられるのを見て、弟子たちに言った、「なぜ、彼は取税人や罪人などと食事を共にするのか」。
2 17 When Jesus heard it, He said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance." イエスはこれを聞いて言われた、「丈夫な人には医者はいらない。いるのは病人である。わたしがきたのは、義人を招くためではなく、罪人を招くためである」。
2 18 The disciples of John and of the Pharisees were fasting. Then they came and said to Him, "Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but Your disciples do not fast?" ヨハネの弟子とパリサイ人とは、断食をしていた。そこで人々がきて、イエスに言った、「ヨハネの弟子たちとパリサイ人の弟子たちとが断食をしているのに、あなたの弟子たちは、なぜ断食をしないのですか」。
2 19 And Jesus said to them, "Can the friends of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them they cannot fast. するとイエスは言われた、「婚礼の客は、花婿が一緒にいるのに、断食ができるであろうか。花婿と一緒にいる間は、断食はできない。
2 20 But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast in those days. しかし、花婿が奪い去られる日が来る。その日には断食をするであろう。
2 21 No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; or else the new piece pulls away from the old, and the tear is made worse. だれも、真新しい布ぎれを、古い着物に縫いつけはしない。もしそうすれば、新しいつぎは古い着物を引き破り、そして、破れがもっとひどくなる。
2 22 And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins." まただれも、新しいぶどう酒を古い皮袋に入れはしない。もしそうすれば、ぶどう酒は皮袋をはり裂き、そして、ぶどう酒も皮袋もむだになってしまう。〔だから、新しいぶどう酒は新しい皮袋に入れるべきである〕」。
2 23 Now it happened that He went through the grainfields on the Sabbath; and as they went His disciples began to pluck the heads of grain. ある安息日に、イエスは麦畑の中をとおって行かれた。そのとき弟子たちが、歩きながら穂をつみはじめた。
2 24 And the Pharisees said to Him, "Look, why do they do what is not lawful on the Sabbath?" すると、パリサイ人たちがイエスに言った、「いったい、彼らはなぜ、安息日にしてはならぬことをするのですか」。
2 25 But He said to them, "Have you never read what David did when he was in need and hungry, he and those with him: そこで彼らに言われた、「あなたがたは、ダビデとその供の者たちとが食物がなくて飢えたとき、ダビデが何をしたか、また読んだことがないのか。
2 26 how he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the showbread, which is not lawful to eat, except for the priests, and also gave some to those who were with him?" すなわち、大祭司アビアタルの時、神の家にはいって、祭司たちのほか食べてはならぬ供えのパンを、自分も食べ、また供の者たちにも与えたではないか」。
2 27 And He said to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. また彼らに言われた、「安息日は人のためにあるもので、人が安息日のためにあるのではない。
2 28Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath." それだから、人の子は、安息日にもまた主なのである」。
マルコの福音書 Mark 3 3
3 1 And He entered the synagogue again, and a man was there who had a withered hand. イエスがまた会堂にはいられると、そこに片手のなえた人がいた。
3 2 So they watched Him closely, whether He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse Him. 人々はイエスを訴えようと思って、安息日にその人をいやされるかどうかをうかがっていた。
3 3And He said to the man who had the withered hand, "Step forward." すると、イエスは片手のなえたその人に、「立って、中へ出てきなさい」と言い、
3 4 Then He said to them, "Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?" But they kept silent. 人々にむかって、「安息日に善を行うのと悪を行うのと、命を救うのと殺すのと、どちらがよいか」と言われた。彼らは黙っていた。
3 5 And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other. イエスは怒りを含んで彼らを見まわし、その心のかたくななのを嘆いて、その人に「手を伸ばしなさい」と言われた。そこで手を伸ばすと、その手は元どおりになった。
3 6Then the Pharisees went out and immediately plotted with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him. パリサイ人たちは出て行って、すぐにヘロデ党の者たちと、なんとかしてイエスを殺そうと相談しはじめた。
3 7 But Jesus withdrew with His disciples to the sea. And a great multitude from Galilee followed Him, and from Judea それから、イエスは弟子たちと共に海べに退かれたが、ガリラヤからきたおびただしい群衆がついて行った。またユダヤから、
3 8 and Jerusalem and Idumea and beyond the Jordan; and those from Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they heard how many things He was doing, came to Him. エルサレムから、イドマヤから、更にヨルダンの向こうから、ツロ、シドンのあたりからも、おびただしい群衆が、そのなさっていることを聞いて、みもとにきた。
3 9 So He told His disciples that a small boat should be kept ready for Him because of the multitude, lest they should crush Him. イエスは群衆が自分に押し迫るのを避けるために、小舟を用意しておけと、弟子たちに命じられた。
3 10 For He healed many, so that as many as had afflictions pressed about Him to touch Him. それは、多くの人をいやされたので、病苦に悩む者は皆イエスにさわろうとして、押し寄せてきたからである。
3 11 And the unclean spirits, whenever they saw Him, fell down before Him and cried out, saying, "You are the Son of God." また、けがれた霊どもはイエスを見るごとに、みまえにひれ伏し、叫んで、「あなたこそ神の子です」と言った。
3 12 But He sternly warned them that they should not make Him known. イエスは御自身のことを人にあらわさないようにと、彼らをきびしく戒められた。
3 13 And He went up on the mountain and called to Him those He Himself wanted. And they came to Him. さてイエスは山に登り、みこころにかなった者たちを呼び寄せられたので、彼らはみもとにきた。
3 14 Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach, そこで十二人をお立てになった。彼らを自分のそばに置くためであり、さらに宣教につかわし、
3 15 and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons: また悪霊を追い出す権威を持たせるためであった。
3 16 Simon, to whom He gave the name Peter; こうして、この十二人をお立てになった。そしてシモンにペテロという名をつけ、
3 17James the son of Zebedee and John the brother of James, to whom He gave the name Boanerges, that is, "Sons of Thunder"; またゼベダイの子ヤコブと、ヤコブの兄弟ヨハネ、彼らにはボアネルゲ、すなわち、雷の子という名をつけられた。
3 18Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Cananite; つぎにアンデレ、ピリポ、バルトロマイ、マタイ、トマス、アルパヨの子ヤコブ、タダイ、熱心党のシモン、
3 19 and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him. And they went into a house. それからイスカリオテのユダ。このユダがイエスを裏切ったのである。イエスが家にはいられると、
3 20 Then the multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. 群衆がまた集まってきたので、一同は食事をする暇もないほどであった。
3 21 But when His own people heard about this, they went out to lay hold of Him, for they said, "He is out of His mind." 身内の者たちはこの事を聞いて、イエスを取押えに出てきた。気が狂ったと思ったからである。
3 22 And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, "He has Beelzebub," and, "By the ruler of the demons He casts out demons." また、エルサレムから下ってきた律法学者たちも、「彼はベルゼブルにとりつかれている」と言い、「悪霊どものかしらによって、悪霊どもを追い出しているのだ」とも言った。
3 23 So He called them to Himself and said to them in parables: "How can Satan cast out Satan? そこでイエスは彼らを呼び寄せ、譬をもって言われた、「どうして、サタンがサタンを追い出すことができようか。
3 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. もし国が内部で分れ争うなら、その国は立ち行かない。
3 25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. また、もし家が内わで分れ争うなら、その家は立ち行かないであろう。
3 26 And if Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but has an end. もしサタンが内部で対立し分争するなら、彼は立ち行けず、滅んでしまう。
3 27 No one can enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house. だれでも、まず強い人を縛りあげなければ、その人の家に押し入って家財を奪い取ることはできない。縛ってからはじめて、その家を略奪することができる。
3 28"Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; よく言い聞かせておくが、人の子らには、その犯すすべての罪も神をけがす言葉も、ゆるされる。
3 29 but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation"-- しかし、聖霊をけがす者は、いつまでもゆるされず、永遠の罪に定められる」。
3 30 because they said, "He has an unclean spirit." そう言われたのは、彼らが「イエスはけがれた霊につかれている」と言っていたからである。
3 31 Then His brothers and His mother came, and standing outside they sent to Him, calling Him. さて、イエスの母と兄弟たちとがきて、外に立ち、人をやってイエスを呼ばせた。
3 32 And a multitude was sitting around Him; and they said to Him, "Look, Your mother and Your brothers are outside seeking You." ときに、群衆はイエスを囲んですわっていたが、「ごらんなさい。あなたの母上と兄弟、姉妹たちが、外であなたを尋ねておられます」と言った。
3 33 But He answered them, saying, "Who is My mother, or My brothers?" すると、イエスは彼らに答えて言われた、「わたしの母、わたしの兄弟とは、だれのことか」。
3 34 And He looked around in a circle at those who sat about Him, and said, "Here are My mother and My brothers! そして、自分をとりかこんで、すわっている人々を見まわして、言われた、「ごらんなさい、ここにわたしの母、わたしの兄弟がいる。
3 35 For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother." 神のみこころを行う者はだれでも、わたしの兄弟、また姉妹、また母なのである」。
マルコの福音書 Mark 4 4
4 1 And again He began to teach by the sea. And a great multitude was gathered to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat in it on the sea; and the whole multitude was on the land facing the sea. イエスはまたも、海べで教えはじめられた。おびただしい群衆がみもとに集まったので、イエスは舟に乗ってすわったまま、海上におられ、群衆はみな海に沿って陸地にいた。
4 2 Then He taught them many things by parables, and said to them in His teaching: イエスは譬で多くの事を教えられたが、その教の中で彼らにこう言われた、
4 3 "Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. 「聞きなさい、種まきが種をまきに出て行った。
4 4 And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it. まいているうちに、道ばたに落ちた種があった。すると、鳥がきて食べてしまった。
4 5 Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth. ほかの種は土の薄い石地に落ちた。そこは土が深くないので、すぐ芽を出したが、
4 6 But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away. 日が上ると焼けて、根がないために枯れてしまった。
4 7 And some seed fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. ほかの種はいばらの中に落ちた。すると、いばらが伸びて、ふさいでしまったので、実を結ばなかった。
4 8 But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred." ほかの種は良い地に落ちた。そしてはえて、育って、ますます実を結び、三十倍、六十倍、百倍にもなった」。
4 9 And He said to them, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear!" そして言われた、「聞く耳のある者は聞くがよい」。
4 10 But when He was alone, those around Him with the twelve asked Him about the parable. イエスがひとりになられた時、そばにいた者たちが、十二弟子と共に、これらの譬について尋ねた。
4 11 And He said to them, "To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables, そこでイエスは言われた、「あなたがたには神の国の奥義が授けられているが、ほかの者たちには、すべてが譬で語られる。
4 12 so that 'Seeing they may see and not perceive, And hearing they may hear and not understand; Lest they should turn, And their sins be forgiven them.' " それは／『彼らは見るには見るが、認めず、聞くには聞くが、悟らず、悔い改めてゆるされることがない』ためである」。
4 13 And He said to them, "Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables? また彼らに言われた、「あなたがたはこの譬がわからないのか。それでは、どうしてすべての譬がわかるだろうか。
4 14 The sower sows the word. 種まきは御言をまくのである。
4 15 And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts. 道ばたに御言がまかれたとは、こういう人たちのことである。すなわち、御言を聞くと、すぐにサタンがきて、彼らの中にまかれた御言を、奪って行くのである。
4 16 These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 同じように、石地にまかれたものとは、こういう人たちのことである。御言を聞くと、すぐに喜んで受けるが、
4 17and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word's sake, immediately they stumble. 自分の中に根がないので、しばらく続くだけである。そののち、御言のために困難や迫害が起ってくると、すぐつまずいてしまう。
4 18 Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, また、いばらの中にまかれたものとは、こういう人たちのことである。御言を聞くが、
4 19 and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. 世の心づかいと、富の惑わしと、その他いろいろな欲とがはいってきて、御言をふさぐので、実を結ばなくなる。
4 20 But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred." また、良い地にまかれたものとは、こういう人たちのことである。御言を聞いて受けいれ、三十倍、六十倍、百倍の実を結ぶのである」。
4 21 Also He said to them, "Is a lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Is it not to be set on a lampstand? また彼らに言われた、「ますの下や寝台の下に置くために、あかりを持ってくることがあろうか。燭台の上に置くためではないか。
4 22 For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light. なんでも、隠されているもので、現れないものはなく、秘密にされているもので、明るみに出ないものはない。
4 23 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear." 聞く耳のある者は聞くがよい」。
4 24 Then He said to them, "Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given. また彼らに言われた、「聞くことがらに注意しなさい。あなたがたの量るそのはかりで、自分にも量り与えられ、その上になお増し加えられるであろう。
4 25 For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him." だれでも、持っている人は更に与えられ、持っていない人は、持っているものまでも取り上げられるであろう」。
4 26 And He said, "The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, また言われた、「神の国は、ある人が地に種をまくようなものである。
4 27 and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. 夜昼、寝起きしている間に、種は芽を出して育って行くが、どうしてそうなるのか、その人は知らない。
4 28 For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. 地はおのずから実を結ばせるもので、初めに芽、つぎに穂、つぎに穂の中に豊かな実ができる。
4 29 But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come." 実がいると、すぐにかまを入れる。刈入れ時がきたからである」。
4 30 Then He said, "To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it? また言われた、「神の国を何に比べようか。また、どんな譬で言いあらわそうか。
4 31 It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; それは一粒のからし種のようなものである。地にまかれる時には、地上のどんな種よりも小さいが、
4 32 but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade." まかれると、成長してどんな野菜よりも大きくなり、大きな枝を張り、その陰に空の鳥が宿るほどになる」。
4 33 And with many such parables He spoke the word to them as they were able to hear it. イエスはこのような多くの譬で、人々の聞く力にしたがって、御言を語られた。
4 34 But without a parable He did not speak to them. And when they were alone, He explained all things to His disciples. 譬によらないでは語られなかったが、自分の弟子たちには、ひそかにすべてのことを解き明かされた。
4 35 On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, "Let us cross over to the other side." さてその日、夕方になると、イエスは弟子たちに、「向こう岸へ渡ろう」と言われた。
4 36 Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. そこで、彼らは群衆をあとに残し、イエスが舟に乗っておられるまま、乗り出した。ほかの舟も一緒に行った。
4 37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. すると、激しい突風が起り、波が舟の中に打ち込んできて、舟に満ちそうになった。
4 38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, "Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?" ところが、イエス自身は、舳の方でまくらをして、眠っておられた。そこで、弟子たちはイエスをおこして、「先生、わたしどもがおぼれ死んでも、おかまいにならないのですか」と言った。
4 39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be still!" And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. イエスは起きあがって風をしかり、海にむかって、「静まれ、黙れ」と言われると、風はやんで、大なぎになった。
4 40 But He said to them, "Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?" イエスは彼らに言われた、「なぜ、そんなにこわがるのか。どうして信仰がないのか」。
4 41 And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, "Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!" 彼らは恐れおののいて、互に言った、「いったい、この方はだれだろう。風も海も従わせるとは」。
マルコの福音書 Mark 5 5
5 1 Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes. こうして彼らは海の向こう岸、ゲラサ人の地に着いた。
5 2 And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, それから、イエスが舟からあがられるとすぐに、けがれた霊につかれた人が墓場から出てきて、イエスに出会った。
5 3 who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains, この人は墓場をすみかとしており、もはやだれも、鎖でさえも彼をつなぎとめて置けなかった。
5 4 because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him. 彼はたびたび足かせや鎖でつながれたが、鎖を引きちぎり、足かせを砕くので、だれも彼を押えつけることができなかったからである。
5 5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones. そして、夜昼たえまなく墓場や山で叫びつづけて、石で自分のからだを傷つけていた。
5 6 When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. ところが、この人がイエスを遠くから見て、走り寄って拝し、
5 7 And he cried out with a loud voice and said, "What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me." 大声で叫んで言った、「いと高き神の子イエスよ、あなたはわたしとなんの係わりがあるのです。神に誓ってお願いします。どうぞ、わたしを苦しめないでください」。
5 8 For He said to him, "Come out of the man, unclean spirit!" それは、イエスが、「けがれた霊よ、この人から出て行け」と言われたからである。
5 9 Then He asked him, "What is your name?" And he answered, saying, "My name is Legion; for we are many." また彼に、「なんという名前か」と尋ねられると、「レギオンと言います。大ぜいなのですから」と答えた。
5 10 Also he begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country. そして、自分たちをこの土地から追い出さないようにと、しきりに願いつづけた。
5 11 Now a large herd of swine was feeding there near the mountains. さて、そこの山の中腹に、豚の大群が飼ってあった。
5 12 So all the demons begged Him, saying, "Send us to the swine, that we may enter them." 霊はイエスに願って言った、「わたしどもを、豚にはいらせてください。その中へ送ってください」。
5 13 And at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea. イエスがお許しになったので、けがれた霊どもは出て行って、豚の中へはいり込んだ。すると、その群れは二千匹ばかりであったが、がけから海へなだれを打って駆け下り、海の中でおぼれ死んでしまった。
5 14 So those who fed the swine fled, and they told it in the city and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that had happened. 豚を飼う者たちが逃げ出して、町や村にふれまわったので、人々は何事が起ったのかと見にきた。
5 15 Then they came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid. そして、イエスのところにきて、悪霊につかれた人が着物を着て、正気になってすわっており、それがレギオンを宿していた者であるのを見て、恐れた。
5 16And those who saw it told them how it happened to him who had been demon-possessed, and about the swine. また、それを見た人たちは、悪霊につかれた人の身に起った事と豚のこととを、彼らに話して聞かせた。
5 17 Then they began to plead with Him to depart from their region. そこで、人々はイエスに、この地方から出て行っていただきたいと、頼みはじめた。
5 18 And when He got into the boat, he who had been demon-possessed begged Him that he might be with Him. イエスが舟に乗ろうとされると、悪霊につかれていた人がお供をしたいと願い出た。
5 19 However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, "Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you." しかし、イエスはお許しにならないで、彼に言われた、「あなたの家族のもとに帰って、主がどんなに大きなことをしてくださったか、またどんなにあわれんでくださったか、それを知らせなさい」。
5 20 And he departed and began to proclaim in Decapolis all that Jesus had done for him; and all marveled. そこで、彼は立ち去り、そして自分にイエスがしてくださったことを、ことごとくデカポリスの地方に言いひろめ出したので、人々はみな驚き怪しんだ。
5 21 Now when Jesus had crossed over again by boat to the other side, a great multitude gathered to Him; and He was by the sea. イエスがまた舟で向こう岸へ渡られると、大ぜいの群衆がみもとに集まってきた。イエスは海べにおられた。
5 22 And behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name. And when he saw Him, he fell at His feet そこへ、会堂司のひとりであるヤイロという者がきて、イエスを見かけるとその足もとにひれ伏し、
5 23 and begged Him earnestly, saying, "My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live." しきりに願って言った、「わたしの幼い娘が死にかかっています。どうぞ、その子がなおって助かりますように、おいでになって、手をおいてやってください」。
5 24 So Jesus went with him, and a great multitude followed Him and thronged Him. そこで、イエスは彼と一緒に出かけられた。大ぜいの群衆もイエスに押し迫りながら、ついて行った。
5 25Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, さてここに、十二年間も長血をわずらっている女がいた。
5 26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. 多くの医者にかかって、さんざん苦しめられ、その持ち物をみな費してしまったが、なんのかいもないばかりか、かえってますます悪くなる一方であった。
5 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. この女がイエスのことを聞いて、群衆の中にまぎれ込み、うしろから、み衣にさわった。
5 28 For she said, "If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well." それは、せめて、み衣にでもさわれば、なおしていただけるだろうと、思っていたからである。
5 29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. すると、血の元がすぐにかわき、女は病気がなおったことを、その身に感じた。
5 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, "Who touched My clothes?" イエスはすぐ、自分の内から力が出て行ったことに気づかれて、群衆の中で振り向き、「わたしの着物にさわったのはだれか」と言われた。
5 31 But His disciples said to Him, "You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, Who touched Me?' " そこで弟子たちが言った、「ごらんのとおり、群衆があなたに押し迫っていますのに、だれがさわったかと、おっしゃるのですか」。
5 32 And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. しかし、イエスはさわった者を見つけようとして、見まわしておられた。
5 33But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. その女は自分の身に起ったことを知って、恐れおののきながら進み出て、みまえにひれ伏して、すべてありのままを申し上げた。
5 34And He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction." イエスはその女に言われた、「娘よ、あなたの信仰があなたを救ったのです。安心して行きなさい。すっかりなおって、達者でいなさい」。
5 35 While He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue's house who said, "Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?" イエスが、まだ話しておられるうちに、会堂司の家から人々がきて言った、「あなたの娘はなくなりました。このうえ、先生を煩わすには及びますまい」。
5 36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, "Do not be afraid; only believe." イエスはその話している言葉を聞き流して、会堂司に言われた、「恐れることはない。ただ信じなさい」。
5 37 And He permitted no one to follow Him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James. そしてペテロ、ヤコブ、ヤコブの兄弟ヨハネのほかは、ついて来ることを、だれにもお許しにならなかった。
5 38 Then He came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and saw a tumult and those who wept and wailed loudly. 彼らが会堂司の家に着くと、イエスは人々が大声で泣いたり、叫んだりして、騒いでいるのをごらんになり、
5 39 When He came in, He said to them, "Why make this commotion and weep? The child is not dead, but sleeping." 内にはいって、彼らに言われた、「なぜ泣き騒いでいるのか。子供は死んだのではない。眠っているだけである」。
5 40 And they ridiculed Him. But when He had put them all outside, He took the father and the mother of the child, and those who were with Him, and entered where the child was lying. 人々はイエスをあざ笑った。しかし、イエスはみんなの者を外に出し、子供の父母と供の者たちだけを連れて、子供のいる所にはいって行かれた。
5 41 Then He took the child by the hand, and said to her, "Talitha, cumi," which is translated, "Little girl, I say to you, arise." そして子供の手を取って、「タリタ、クミ」と言われた。それは、「少女よ、さあ、起きなさい」という意味である。
5 42 Immediately the girl arose and walked, for she was twelve years of age. And they were overcome with great amazement. すると、少女はすぐに起き上がって、歩き出した。十二歳にもなっていたからである。彼らはたちまち非常な驚きに打たれた。
5 43 But He commanded them strictly that no one should know it, and said that something should be given her to eat. イエスは、だれにもこの事を知らすなと、きびしく彼らに命じ、また、少女に食物を与えるようにと言われた。
マルコの福音書 Mark 6 6
6 1 Then He went out from there and came to His own country, and His disciples followed Him. イエスはそこを去って、郷里に行かれたが、弟子たちも従って行った。
6 2 And when the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue. And many hearing Him were astonished, saying, "Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such mighty works are performed by His hands! そして、安息日になったので、会堂で教えはじめられた。それを聞いた多くの人々は、驚いて言った、「この人は、これらのことをどこで習ってきたのか。また、この人の授かった知恵はどうだろう。このような力あるわざがその手で行われているのは、どうしてか。
6 3 Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?" And they were offended at Him. この人は大工ではないか。マリヤのむすこで、ヤコブ、ヨセ、ユダ、シモンの兄弟ではないか。またその姉妹たちも、ここにわたしたちと一緒にいるではないか」。こうして彼らはイエスにつまずいた。
6 4 But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house." イエスは言われた、「預言者は、自分の郷里、親族、家以外では、どこででも敬われないことはない」。
6 5 Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. そして、そこでは力あるわざを一つもすることができず、ただ少数の病人に手をおいていやされただけであった。
6 6 And He marveled because of their unbelief. Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching. そして、彼らの不信仰を驚き怪しまれた。それからイエスは、附近の村々を巡りあるいて教えられた。
6 7And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits. また十二弟子を呼び寄せ、ふたりずつつかわすことにして、彼らにけがれた霊を制する権威を与え、
6 8 He commanded them to take nothing for the journey except a staff--no bag, no bread, no copper in their money belts-- また旅のために、つえ一本のほかには何も持たないように、パンも、袋も、帯の中に銭も持たず、
6 9 but to wear sandals, and not to put on two tunics. ただわらじをはくだけで、下着も二枚は着ないように命じられた。
6 10 Also He said to them, "In whatever place you enter a house, stay there till you depart from that place. そして彼らに言われた、「どこへ行っても、家にはいったなら、その土地を去るまでは、そこにとどまっていなさい。
6 11 And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!" また、あなたがたを迎えず、あなたがたの話を聞きもしない所があったなら、そこから出て行くとき、彼らに対する抗議のしるしに、足の裏のちりを払い落しなさい」。
6 12So they went out and preached that people should repent. そこで、彼らは出て行って、悔改めを宣べ伝え、
6 13 And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick, and healed them. 多くの悪霊を追い出し、大ぜいの病人に油をぬっていやした。
6 14 Now King Herod heard of Him, for His name had become well known. And he said, "John the Baptist is risen from the dead, and therefore these powers are at work in him." さて、イエスの名が知れわたって、ヘロデ王の耳にはいった。ある人々は「バプテスマのヨハネが、死人の中からよみがえってきたのだ。それで、あのような力が彼のうちに働いているのだ」と言い、
6 15Others said, "It is Elijah." And others said, "It is the Prophet, or like one of the prophets." 他の人々は「彼はエリヤだ」と言い、また他の人々は「昔の預言者のような預言者だ」と言った。
6 16 But when Herod heard, he said, "This is John, whom I beheaded; he has been raised from the dead!" ところが、ヘロデはこれを聞いて、「わたしが首を切ったあのヨハネがよみがえったのだ」と言った。
6 17 For Herod himself had sent and laid hold of John, and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife; for he had married her. このヘロデは、自分の兄弟ピリポの妻ヘロデヤをめとったが、そのことで、人をつかわし、ヨハネを捕えて獄につないだ。
6 18 For John had said to Herod, "It is not lawful for you to have your brother's wife." それは、ヨハネがヘロデに、「兄弟の妻をめとるのは、よろしくない」と言ったからである。
6 19 Therefore Herodias held it against him and wanted to kill him, but she could not; そこで、ヘロデヤはヨハネを恨み、彼を殺そうと思っていたが、できないでいた。
6 20 for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just and holy man, and he protected him. And when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly. それはヘロデが、ヨハネは正しくて聖なる人であることを知って、彼を恐れ、彼に保護を加え、またその教を聞いて非常に悩みながらも、なお喜んで聞いていたからである。
6 21Then an opportune day came when Herod on his birthday gave a feast for his nobles, the high officers, and the chief men of Galilee. ところが、よい機会がきた。ヘロデは自分の誕生日の祝に、高官や将校やガリラヤの重立った人たちを招いて宴会を催したが、
6 22 And when Herodias' daughter herself came in and danced, and pleased Herod and those who sat with him, the king said to the girl, "Ask me whatever you want, and I will give it to you." そこへ、このヘロデヤの娘がはいってきて舞をまい、ヘロデをはじめ列座の人たちを喜ばせた。そこで王はこの少女に「ほしいものはなんでも言いなさい。あなたにあげるから」と言い、
6 23 He also swore to her, "Whatever you ask me, I will give you, up to half of my kingdom." さらに「ほしければ、この国の半分でもあげよう」と誓って言った。
6 24 So she went out and said to her mother, "What shall I ask?" And she said, "The head of John the Baptist!" そこで少女は座をはずして、母に「何をお願いしましょうか」と尋ねると、母は「バプテスマのヨハネの首を」と答えた。
6 25 Immediately she came in with haste to the king and asked, saying, "I want you to give me at once the head of John the Baptist on a platter." するとすぐ、少女は急いで王のところに行って願った、「今すぐに、バプテスマのヨハネの首を盆にのせて、それをいただきとうございます」。
6 26 And the king was exceedingly sorry; yet, because of the oaths and because of those who sat with him, he did not want to refuse her. 王は非常に困ったが、いったん誓ったのと、また列座の人たちの手前、少女の願いを退けることを好まなかった。
6 27Immediately the king sent an executioner and commanded his head to be brought. And he went and beheaded him in prison, そこで、王はすぐに衛兵をつかわし、ヨハネの首を持って来るように命じた。衛兵は出て行き、獄中でヨハネの首を切り、
6 28 brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the girl; and the girl gave it to her mother. 盆にのせて持ってきて少女に与え、少女はそれを母にわたした。
6 29 When his disciples heard of it, they came and took away his corpse and laid it in a tomb. ヨハネの弟子たちはこのことを聞き、その死体を引き取りにきて、墓に納めた。
6 30 Then the apostles gathered to Jesus and told Him all things, both what they had done and what they had taught. さて、使徒たちはイエスのもとに集まってきて、自分たちがしたことや教えたことを、みな報告した。
6 31 And He said to them, "Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while." For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat. するとイエスは彼らに言われた、「さあ、あなたがたは、人を避けて寂しい所へ行って、しばらく休むがよい」。それは、出入りする人が多くて、食事をする暇もなかったからである。
6 32 So they departed to a deserted place in the boat by themselves. そこで彼らは人を避け、舟に乗って寂しい所へ行った。
6 33 But the multitudes saw them departing, and many knew Him and ran there on foot from all the cities. They arrived before them and came together to Him. ところが、多くの人々は彼らが出かけて行くのを見、それと気づいて、方々の町々からそこへ、一せいに駆けつけ、彼らより先に着いた。
6 34 And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things. イエスは舟から上がって大ぜいの群衆をごらんになり、飼う者のない羊のようなその有様を深くあわれんで、いろいろと教えはじめられた。
6 35When the day was now far spent, His disciples came to Him and said, "This is a deserted place, and already the hour is late. ところが、はや時もおそくなったので、弟子たちはイエスのもとにきて言った、「ここは寂しい所でもあり、もう時もおそくなりました。
6 36 Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages and buy themselves bread; for they have nothing to eat." みんなを解散させ、めいめいで何か食べる物を買いに、まわりの部落や村々へ行かせてください」。
6 37 But He answered and said to them, "You give them something to eat." And they said to Him, "Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give them something to eat?" イエスは答えて言われた、「あなたがたの手で食物をやりなさい」。弟子たちは言った、「わたしたちが二百デナリものパンを買ってきて、みんなに食べさせるのですか」。
6 38 But He said to them, "How many loaves do you have? Go and see." And when they found out they said, "Five, and two fish." するとイエスは言われた。「パンは幾つあるか。見てきなさい」。彼らは確かめてきて、「五つあります。それに魚が二ひき」と言った。
6 39 Then He commanded them to make them all sit down in groups on the green grass. そこでイエスは、みんなを組々に分けて、青草の上にすわらせるように命じられた。
6 40 So they sat down in ranks, in hundreds and in fifties. 人々は、あるいは百人ずつ、あるいは五十人ずつ、列をつくってすわった。
6 41 And when He had taken the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and the two fish He divided among them all. それから、イエスは五つのパンと二ひきの魚とを手に取り、天を仰いでそれを祝福し、パンをさき、弟子たちにわたして配らせ、また、二ひきの魚もみんなにお分けになった。
6 42 So they all ate and were filled. みんなの者は食べて満腹した。
6 43 And they took up twelve baskets full of fragments and of the fish. そこで、パンくずや魚の残りを集めると、十二のかごにいっぱいになった。
6 44 Now those who had eaten the loaves were about five thousand men. パンを食べた者は男五千人であった。
6 45 Immediately He made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while He sent the multitude away. それからすぐ、イエスは自分で群衆を解散させておられる間に、しいて弟子たちを舟に乗り込ませ、向こう岸のベツサイダへ先におやりになった。
6 46 And when He had sent them away, He departed to the mountain to pray. そして群衆に別れてから、祈るために山へ退かれた。
6 47 Now when evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea; and He was alone on the land. 夕方になったとき、舟は海のまん中に出ており、イエスだけが陸地におられた。
6 48Then He saw them straining at rowing, for the wind was against them. Now about the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea, and would have passed them by. ところが逆風が吹いていたために、弟子たちがこぎ悩んでいるのをごらんになって、夜明けの四時ごろ、海の上を歩いて彼らに近づき、そのそばを通り過ぎようとされた。
6 49 And when they saw Him walking on the sea, they supposed it was a ghost, and cried out; 彼らはイエスが海の上を歩いておられるのを見て、幽霊だと思い、大声で叫んだ。
6 50 for they all saw Him and were troubled. But immediately He talked with them and said to them, "Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid." みんなの者がそれを見て、おじ恐れたからである。しかし、イエスはすぐ彼らに声をかけ、「しっかりするのだ。わたしである。恐れることはない」と言われた。
6 51 Then He went up into the boat to them, and the wind ceased. And they were greatly amazed in themselves beyond measure, and marveled. そして、彼らの舟に乗り込まれると、風はやんだ。彼らは心の中で、非常に驚いた。
6 52 For they had not understood about the loaves, because their heart was hardened. 先のパンのことを悟らず、その心が鈍くなっていたからである。
6 53 When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret and anchored there. 彼らは海を渡り、ゲネサレの地に着いて舟をつないだ。
6 54 And when they came out of the boat, immediately the people recognized Him, そして舟からあがると、人々はすぐイエスと知って、
6 55 ran through that whole surrounding region, and began to carry about on beds those who were sick to wherever they heard He was. その地方をあまねく駆けめぐり、イエスがおられると聞けば、どこへでも病人を床にのせて運びはじめた。
6 56 Wherever He entered into villages, cities, or in the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well. そして、村でも町でも部落でも、イエスがはいって行かれる所では、病人たちをその広場におき、せめてその上着のふさにでも、さわらせてやっていただきたいと、お願いした。そしてさわった者は皆いやされた。
マルコの福音書 Mark 7 7
7 1 Then the Pharisees and some of the scribes came together to Him, having come from Jerusalem. さて、パリサイ人と、ある律法学者たちとが、エルサレムからきて、イエスのもとに集まった。
7 2 Now when they saw some of His disciples eat bread with defiled, that is, with unwashed hands, they found fault. そして弟子たちのうちに、不浄な手、すなわち洗わない手で、パンを食べている者があるのを見た。
7 3 For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they wash their hands in a special way, holding the tradition of the elders. もともと、パリサイ人をはじめユダヤ人はみな、昔の人の言伝えをかたく守って、念入りに手を洗ってからでないと、食事をしない。
7 4 When they come from the marketplace, they do not eat unless they wash. And there are many other things which they have received and hold, like the washing of cups, pitchers, copper vessels, and couches. また市場から帰ったときには、身を清めてからでないと、食事をせず、なおそのほかにも、杯、鉢、銅器を洗うことなど、昔から受けついでかたく守っている事が、たくさんあった。
7 5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, "Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?" そこで、パリサイ人と律法学者たちとは、イエスに尋ねた、「なぜ、あなたの弟子たちは、昔の人の言伝えに従って歩まないで、不浄な手でパンを食べるのですか」。
7 6 He answered and said to them, "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: 'This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. イエスは言われた、「イザヤは、あなたがた偽善者について、こう書いているが、それは適切な預言である、『この民は、口さきではわたしを敬うが、その心はわたしから遠く離れている。
7 7And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.' 人間のいましめを教として教え、無意味にわたしを拝んでいる』。
7 8 "For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men--the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do." あなたがたは、神のいましめをさしおいて、人間の言伝えを固執している」。
7 9 He said to them, "All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition. また、言われた、「あなたがたは、自分たちの言伝えを守るために、よくも神のいましめを捨てたものだ。
7 10 For Moses said, 'Honor your father and your mother'; and, 'He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.' モーセは言ったではないか、『父と母とを敬え』、また『父または母をののしる者は、必ず死に定められる』と。
7 11But you say, 'If a man says to his father or mother, "Whatever profit you might have received from me is Corban"--' (that is, a gift to God), それだのに、あなたがたは、もし人が父または母にむかって、あなたに差上げるはずのこのものはコルバン、すなわち、供え物ですと言えば、それでよいとして、
7 12 then you no longer let him do anything for his father or his mother, その人は父母に対して、もう何もしないで済むのだと言っている。
7 13 making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do." こうしてあなたがたは、自分たちが受けついだ言伝えによって、神の言を無にしている。また、このような事をしばしばおこなっている」。
7 14 When He had called all the multitude to Himself, He said to them, "Hear Me, everyone, and understand: それから、イエスは再び群衆を呼び寄せて言われた、「あなたがたはみんな、わたしの言うことを聞いて悟るがよい。
7 15 There is nothing that enters a man from outside which can defile him; but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile a man. すべて外から人の中にはいって、人をけがしうるものはない。かえって、人の中から出てくるものが、人をけがすのである。
7 16 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear!" 〔聞く耳のある者は聞くがよい〕」。
7 17 When He had entered a house away from the crowd, His disciples asked Him concerning the parable. イエスが群衆を離れて家にはいられると、弟子たちはこの譬について尋ねた。
7 18 So He said to them, "Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, すると、言われた、「あなたがたも、そんなに鈍いのか。すべて、外から人の中にはいって来るものは、人を汚し得ないことが、わからないのか。
7 19 because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, thus purifying all foods?" それは人の心の中にはいるのではなく、腹の中にはいり、そして、外に出て行くだけである」。イエスはこのように、どんな食物でもきよいものとされた。
7 20 And He said, "What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. さらに言われた、「人から出て来るもの、それが人をけがすのである。
7 21For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, すなわち内部から、人の心の中から、悪い思いが出て来る。不品行、盗み、殺人、
7 22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. 姦淫、貪欲、邪悪、欺き、好色、妬み、誹り、高慢、愚痴。
7 23 All these evil things come from within and defile a man." これらの悪はすべて内部から出てきて、人をけがすのである」。
7 24 From there He arose and went to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And He entered a house and wanted no one to know it, but He could not be hidden. さて、イエスは、そこを立ち去って、ツロの地方に行かれた。そして、だれにも知れないように、家の中にはいられたが、隠れていることができなかった。
7 25 For a woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit heard about Him, and she came and fell at His feet. そして、けがれた霊につかれた幼い娘をもつ女が、イエスのことをすぐ聞きつけてきて、その足もとにひれ伏した。
7 26 The woman was a Greek, a Syro-Phoenician by birth, and she kept asking Him to cast the demon out of her daughter. この女はギリシヤ人で、スロ・フェニキヤの生れであった。そして、娘から悪霊を追い出してくださいとお願いした。
7 27 But Jesus said to her, "Let the children be filled first, for it is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs." イエスは女に言われた、「まず子供たちに十分食べさすべきである。子供たちのパンを取って小犬に投げてやるのは、よろしくない」。
7 28 And she answered and said to Him, "Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs under the table eat from the children's crumbs." すると女は答えて言った、「主よ、お言葉どおりです。でも、食卓の下にいる小犬も、子供たちのパンくずは、いただきます」。
7 29 Then He said to her, "For this saying go your way; the demon has gone out of your daughter." そこでイエスは言われた、「その言葉で、じゅうぶんである。お帰りなさい。悪霊は娘から出てしまった」。
7 30 And when she had come to her house, she found the demon gone out, and her daughter lying on the bed. そこで、女が家に帰ってみると、その子は床の上に寝ており、悪霊は出てしまっていた。
7 31 Again, departing from the region of Tyre and Sidon, He came through the midst of the region of Decapolis to the Sea of Galilee. それから、イエスはまたツロの地方を去り、シドンを経てデカポリス地方を通りぬけ、ガリラヤの海べにこられた。
7 32 Then they brought to Him one who was deaf and had an impediment in his speech, and they begged Him to put His hand on him. すると人々は、耳が聞えず口のきけない人を、みもとに連れてきて、手を置いてやっていただきたいとお願いした。
7 33 And He took him aside from the multitude, and put His fingers in his ears, and He spat and touched his tongue. そこで、イエスは彼ひとりを群衆の中から連れ出し、その両耳に指をさし入れ、それから、つばきでその舌を潤し、
7 34 Then, looking up to heaven, He sighed, and said to him, "Ephphatha," that is, "Be opened." 天を仰いでため息をつき、その人に「エパタ」と言われた。これは「開けよ」という意味である。
7 35Immediately his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was loosed, and he spoke plainly. すると彼の耳が開け、その舌のもつれもすぐ解けて、はっきりと話すようになった。
7 36 Then He commanded them that they should tell no one; but the more He commanded them, the more widely they proclaimed it. イエスは、この事をだれにも言ってはならぬと、人々に口止めをされたが、口止めをすればするほど、かえって、ますます言いひろめた。
7 37 And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, "He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf to hear and the mute to speak." 彼らは、ひとかたならず驚いて言った、「このかたのなさった事は、何もかも、すばらしい。耳の聞えない者を聞えるようにしてやり、口のきけない者をきけるようにしておやりになった」。
マルコの福音書 Mark 8 8
8 1 In those days, the multitude being very great and having nothing to eat, Jesus called His disciples to Him and said to them, そのころ、また大ぜいの群衆が集まっていたが、何も食べるものがなかったので、イエスは弟子たちを呼び寄せて言われた、
8 2 "I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat. 「この群衆がかわいそうである。もう三日間もわたしと一緒にいるのに、何も食べるものがない。
8 3 And if I send them away hungry to their own houses, they will faint on the way; for some of them have come from afar." もし、彼らを空腹のまま家に帰らせるなら、途中で弱り切ってしまうであろう。それに、なかには遠くからきている者もある」。
8 4 Then His disciples answered Him, "How can one satisfy these people with bread here in the wilderness?" 弟子たちは答えた、「こんな荒野で、どこからパンを手に入れて、これらの人々にじゅうぶん食べさせることができましょうか」。
8 5 He asked them, "How many loaves do you have?" And they said, "Seven." イエスが弟子たちに、「パンはいくつあるか」と尋ねられると、「七つあります」と答えた。
8 6 So He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. And He took the seven loaves and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and they set them before the multitude. そこでイエスは群衆に地にすわるように命じられた。そして七つのパンを取り、感謝してこれをさき、人々に配るように弟子たちに渡されると、弟子たちはそれを群衆に配った。
8 7 They also had a few small fish; and having blessed them, He said to set them also before them. また小さい魚が少しばかりあったので、祝福して、それをも人々に配るようにと言われた。
8 8 So they ate and were filled, and they took up seven large baskets of leftover fragments. 彼らは食べて満腹した。そして残ったパンくずを集めると、七かごになった。
8 9 Now those who had eaten were about four thousand. And He sent them away, 人々の数はおよそ四千人であった。それからイエスは彼らを解散させ、
8 10 immediately got into the boat with His disciples, and came to the region of Dalmanutha. すぐ弟子たちと共に舟に乗って、ダルマヌタの地方へ行かれた。
8 11 Then the Pharisees came out and began to dispute with Him, seeking from Him a sign from heaven, testing Him. パリサイ人たちが出てきて、イエスを試みようとして議論をしかけ、天からのしるしを求めた。
8 12 But He sighed deeply in His spirit, and said, "Why does this generation seek a sign? Assuredly, I say to you, no sign shall be given to this generation." イエスは、心の中で深く嘆息して言われた、「なぜ、今の時代はしるしを求めるのだろう。よく言い聞かせておくが、しるしは今の時代には決して与えられない」。
8 13 And He left them, and getting into the boat again, departed to the other side. そして、イエスは彼らをあとに残し、また舟に乗って向こう岸へ行かれた。
8 14Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, and they did not have more than one loaf with them in the boat. 弟子たちはパンを持って来るのを忘れていたので、舟の中にはパン一つしか持ち合わせがなかった。
8 15 Then He charged them, saying, "Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod." そのとき、イエスは彼らを戒めて、「パリサイ人のパン種とヘロデのパン種とを、よくよく警戒せよ」と言われた。
8 16 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, "It is because we have no bread." 弟子たちは、これを自分たちがパンを持っていないためであろうと、互に論じ合った。
8 17 But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, "Why do you reason because you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive nor understand? Is your heart still hardened? イエスはそれと知って、彼らに言われた、「なぜ、パンがないからだと論じ合っているのか。まだわからないのか、悟らないのか。あなたがたの心は鈍くなっているのか。
8 18 Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember? 目があっても見えないのか。耳があっても聞えないのか。まだ思い出さないのか。
8 19 When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you take up?" They said to Him, "Twelve." 五つのパンをさいて五千人に分けたとき、拾い集めたパンくずは、幾つのかごになったか」。弟子たちは答えた、「十二かごです」。
8 20 "Also, when I broke the seven for the four thousand, how many large baskets full of fragments did you take up?" And they said, "Seven." 「七つのパンを四千人に分けたときには、パンくずを幾つのかごに拾い集めたか」。「七かごです」と答えた。
8 21 So He said to them, "How is it you do not understand?" そこでイエスは彼らに言われた、「まだ悟らないのか」。
8 22 Then He came to Bethsaida; and they brought a blind man to Him, and begged Him to touch him. そのうちに、彼らはベツサイダに着いた。すると人々が、ひとりの盲人を連れてきて、さわってやっていただきたいとお願いした。
8 23 So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town. And when He had spit on his eyes and put His hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything. イエスはこの盲人の手をとって、村の外に連れ出し、その両方の目につばきをつけ、両手を彼に当てて、「何か見えるか」と尋ねられた。
8 24 And he looked up and said, "I see men like trees, walking." すると彼は顔を上げて言った、「人が見えます。木のように見えます。歩いているようです」。
8 25 Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly. それから、イエスが再び目の上に両手を当てられると、盲人は見つめているうちに、なおってきて、すべてのものがはっきりと見えだした。
8 26 Then He sent him away to his house, saying, "Neither go into the town, nor tell anyone in the town." そこでイエスは、「村にはいってはいけない」と言って、彼を家に帰された。
8 27 Now Jesus and His disciples went out to the towns of Caesarea Philippi; and on the road He asked His disciples, saying to them, "Who do men say that I am?" さて、イエスは弟子たちとピリポ・カイザリヤの村々へ出かけられたが、その途中で、弟子たちに尋ねて言われた、「人々は、わたしをだれと言っているか」。
8 28 So they answered, "John the Baptist; but some say, Elijah; and others, one of the prophets." 彼らは答えて言った、「バプテスマのヨハネだと、言っています。また、エリヤだと言い、また、預言者のひとりだと言っている者もあります」。
8 29 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter answered and said to Him, "You are the Christ." そこでイエスは彼らに尋ねられた、「それでは、あなたがたはわたしをだれと言うか」。ペテロが答えて言った、「あなたこそキリストです」。
8 30 Then He strictly warned them that they should tell no one about Him. するとイエスは、自分のことをだれにも言ってはいけないと、彼らを戒められた。
8 31 And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. それから、人の子は必ず多くの苦しみを受け、長老、祭司長、律法学者たちに捨てられ、また殺され、そして三日の後によみがえるべきことを、彼らに教えはじめ、
8 32 He spoke this word openly. And Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him. しかもあからさまに、この事を話された。すると、ペテロはイエスをわきへ引き寄せて、いさめはじめたので、
8 33 But when He had turned around and looked at His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, "Get behind Me, Satan! For you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men." イエスは振り返って、弟子たちを見ながら、ペテロをしかって言われた、「サタンよ、引きさがれ。あなたは神のことを思わないで、人のことを思っている」。
8 34 When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, "Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. それから群衆を弟子たちと一緒に呼び寄せて、彼らに言われた、「だれでもわたしについてきたいと思うなら、自分を捨て、自分の十字架を負うて、わたしに従ってきなさい。
8 35 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it. 自分の命を救おうと思う者はそれを失い、わたしのため、また福音のために、自分の命を失う者は、それを救うであろう。
8 36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? 人が全世界をもうけても、自分の命を損したら、なんの得になろうか。
8 37 Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? また、人はどんな代価を払って、その命を買いもどすことができようか。
8 38 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels." 邪悪で罪深いこの時代にあって、わたしとわたしの言葉とを恥じる者に対しては、人の子もまた、父の栄光のうちに聖なる御使たちと共に来るときに、その者を恥じるであろう」。
マルコの福音書 Mark 9 9
9 1 And He said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death till they see the kingdom of God present with power." また、彼らに言われた、「よく聞いておくがよい。神の国が力をもって来るのを見るまでは、決して死を味わわない者が、ここに立っている者の中にいる」。
9 2 Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up on a high mountain apart by themselves; and He was transfigured before them. 六日の後、イエスは、ただペテロ、ヤコブ、ヨハネだけを連れて、高い山に登られた。ところが、彼らの目の前でイエスの姿が変り、
9 3 His clothes became shining, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them. その衣は真白く輝き、どんな布さらしでも、それほどに白くすることはできないくらいになった。
9 4 And Elijah appeared to them with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus. すると、エリヤがモーセと共に彼らに現れて、イエスと語り合っていた。
9 5 Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, "Rabbi, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah"-- ペテロはイエスにむかって言った、「先生、わたしたちがここにいるのは、すばらしいことです。それで、わたしたちは小屋を三つ建てましょう。一つはあなたのために、一つはモーセのために、一つはエリヤのために」。
9 6because he did not know what to say, for they were greatly afraid. そう言ったのは、みんなの者が非常に恐れていたので、ペテロは何を言ってよいか、わからなかったからである。
9 7And a cloud came and overshadowed them; and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!" すると、雲がわき起って彼らをおおった。そして、その雲の中から声があった、「これはわたしの愛する子である。これに聞け」。
9 8 Suddenly, when they had looked around, they saw no one anymore, but only Jesus with themselves. 彼らは急いで見まわしたが、もはやだれも見えず、ただイエスだけが、自分たちと一緒におられた。
9 9 Now as they came down from the mountain, He commanded them that they should tell no one the things they had seen, till the Son of Man had risen from the dead. 一同が山を下って来るとき、イエスは「人の子が死人の中からよみがえるまでは、いま見たことをだれにも話してはならない」と、彼らに命じられた。
9 10 So they kept this word to themselves, questioning what the rising from the dead meant. 彼らはこの言葉を心にとめ、死人の中からよみがえるとはどういうことかと、互に論じ合った。
9 11 And they asked Him, saying, "Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?" そしてイエスに尋ねた、「なぜ、律法学者たちは、エリヤが先に来るはずだと言っているのですか」。
9 12 Then He answered and told them, "Indeed, Elijah is coming first and restores all things. And how is it written concerning the Son of Man, that He must suffer many things and be treated with contempt? イエスは言われた、「確かに、エリヤが先にきて、万事を元どおりに改める。しかし、人の子について、彼が多くの苦しみを受け、かつ恥ずかしめられると、書いてあるのはなぜか。
9 13 But I say to you that Elijah has also come, and they did to him whatever they wished, as it is written of him." しかしあなたがたに言っておく、エリヤはすでにきたのだ。そして彼について書いてあるように、人々は自分かってに彼をあしらった」。
9 14 And when He came to the disciples, He saw a great multitude around them, and scribes disputing with them. さて、彼らがほかの弟子たちの所にきて見ると、大ぜいの群衆が弟子たちを取り囲み、そして律法学者たちが彼らと論じ合っていた。
9 15Immediately, when they saw Him, all the people were greatly amazed, and running to Him, greeted Him. 群衆はみな、すぐイエスを見つけて、非常に驚き、駆け寄ってきて、あいさつをした。
9 16 And He asked the scribes, "What are you discussing with them?" イエスが彼らに、「あなたがたは彼らと何を論じているのか」と尋ねられると、
9 17 Then one of the crowd answered and said, "Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit. 群衆のひとりが答えた、「先生、口をきけなくする霊につかれているわたしのむすこを、こちらに連れて参りました。
9 18 And wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could not." 霊がこのむすこにとりつきますと、どこででも彼を引き倒し、それから彼はあわを吹き、歯をくいしばり、からだをこわばらせてしまいます。それでお弟子たちに、この霊を追い出してくださるように願いましたが、できませんでした」。
9 19He answered him and said, "O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to Me." イエスは答えて言われた、「ああ、なんという不信仰な時代であろう。いつまで、わたしはあなたがたと一緒におられようか。いつまで、あなたがたに我慢ができようか。その子をわたしの所に連れてきなさい」。
9 20Then they brought him to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground and wallowed, foaming at the mouth. そこで人々は、その子をみもとに連れてきた。霊がイエスを見るや否や、その子をひきつけさせたので、子は地に倒れ、あわを吹きながらころげまわった。
9 21 So He asked his father, "How long has this been happening to him?" And he said, "From childhood. そこで、イエスが父親に「いつごろから、こんなになったのか」と尋ねられると、父親は答えた、「幼い時からです。
9 22 And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us." 霊はたびたび、この子を火の中、水の中に投げ入れて、殺そうとしました。しかしできますれば、わたしどもをあわれんでお助けください」。
9 23 Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." イエスは彼に言われた、「もしできれば、と言うのか。信ずる者には、どんな事でもできる」。
9 24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!" その子の父親はすぐ叫んで言った、「信じます。不信仰なわたしを、お助けください」。
9 25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, "Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!" イエスは群衆が駆け寄って来るのをごらんになって、けがれた霊をしかって言われた、「言うことも聞くこともさせない霊よ、わたしがおまえに命じる。この子から出て行け。二度と、はいって来るな」。
9 26 Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said, "He is dead." すると霊は叫び声をあげ、激しく引きつけさせて出て行った。その子は死人のようになったので、多くの人は、死んだのだと言った。
9 27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose. しかし、イエスが手を取って起されると、その子は立ち上がった。
9 28 And when He had come into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, "Why could we not cast it out?" 家にはいられたとき、弟子たちはひそかにお尋ねした、「わたしたちは、どうして霊を追い出せなかったのですか」。
9 29 So He said to them, "This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting." すると、イエスは言われた、「このたぐいは、祈によらなければ、どうしても追い出すことはできない」。
9 30 Then they departed from there and passed through Galilee, and He did not want anyone to know it. それから彼らはそこを立ち去り、ガリラヤをとおって行ったが、イエスは人に気づかれるのを好まれなかった。
9 31 For He taught His disciples and said to them, "The Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill Him. And after He is killed, He will rise the third day." それは、イエスが弟子たちに教えて、「人の子は人々の手にわたされ、彼らに殺され、殺されてから三日の後によみがえるであろう」と言っておられたからである。
9 32 But they did not understand this saying, and were afraid to ask Him. しかし、彼らはイエスの言われたことを悟らず、また尋ねるのを恐れていた。
9 33 Then He came to Capernaum. And when He was in the house He asked them, "What was it you disputed among yourselves on the road?" それから彼らはカペナウムにきた。そして家におられるとき、イエスは弟子たちに尋ねられた、「あなたがたは途中で何を論じていたのか」。
9 34 But they kept silent, for on the road they had disputed among themselves who would be the greatest. 彼らは黙っていた。それは途中で、だれが一ばん偉いかと、互に論じ合っていたからである。
9 35 And He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, "If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all." そこで、イエスはすわって十二弟子を呼び、そして言われた、「だれでも一ばん先になろうと思うならば、一ばんあとになり、みんなに仕える者とならねばならない」。
9 36 Then He took a little child and set him in the midst of them. And when He had taken him in His arms, He said to them, そして、ひとりの幼な子をとりあげて、彼らのまん中に立たせ、それを抱いて言われた。
9 37 "Whoever receives one of these little children in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me, receives not Me but Him who sent Me." 「だれでも、このような幼な子のひとりを、わたしの名のゆえに受けいれる者は、わたしを受けいれるのである。そして、わたしを受けいれる者は、わたしを受けいれるのではなく、わたしをおつかわしになったかたを受けいれるのである」。
9 38 Now John answered Him, saying, "Teacher, we saw someone who does not follow us casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow us." ヨハネがイエスに言った、「先生、わたしたちについてこない者が、あなたの名を使って悪霊を追い出しているのを見ましたが、その人はわたしたちについてこなかったので、やめさせました」。
9 39 But Jesus said, "Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of Me. イエスは言われた、「やめさせないがよい。だれでもわたしの名で力あるわざを行いながら、すぐそのあとで、わたしをそしることはできない。
9 40 "For he who is not against us is on our side. わたしたちに反対しない者は、わたしたちの味方である。
9 41 For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward. だれでも、キリストについている者だというので、あなたがたに水一杯でも飲ませてくれるものは、よく言っておくが、決してその報いからもれることはないであろう。
9 42 "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea. また、わたしを信じるこれらの小さい者のひとりをつまずかせる者は、大きなひきうすを首にかけられて海に投げ込まれた方が、はるかによい。
9 43 If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched-- もし、あなたの片手が罪を犯させるなら、それを切り捨てなさい。両手がそろったままで地獄の消えない火の中に落ち込むよりは、片手になって命に入る方がよい。
9 44 where 'Their worm does not die, And the fire is not quenched.' 〔地獄では、うじがつきず、火も消えることがない。〕
9 45 And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame, rather than having two feet, to be cast into hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched-- もし、あなたの片足が罪を犯させるなら、それを切り捨てなさい。両足がそろったままで地獄に投げ入れられるよりは、片足で命に入る方がよい。
9 46 where 'Their worm does not die, And the fire is not quenched.' 〔地獄では、うじがつきず、火も消えることがない。〕
9 47 And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire-- もし、あなたの片目が罪を犯させるなら、それを抜き出しなさい。両眼がそろったままで地獄に投げ入れられるよりは、片目になって神の国に入る方がよい。
9 48 where 'Their worm does not die, And the fire is not quenched.' 地獄では、うじがつきず、火も消えることがない。
9 49 "For everyone will be seasoned with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt. 人はすべて火で塩づけられねばならない。
9 50Salt is good, but if the salt loses its flavor, how will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace with one another." 塩はよいものである。しかし、もしその塩の味がぬけたら、何によってその味が取りもどされようか。あなたがた自身の内に塩を持ちなさい。そして、互に和らぎなさい」。
マルコの福音書 Mark 10 10
10 1 Then He arose from there and came to the region of Judea by the other side of the Jordan. And multitudes gathered to Him again, and as He was accustomed, He taught them again. それから、イエスはそこを去って、ユダヤの地方とヨルダンの向こう側へ行かれたが、群衆がまた寄り集まったので、いつものように、また教えておられた。
10 2 The Pharisees came and asked Him, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?" testing Him. そのとき、パリサイ人たちが近づいてきて、イエスを試みようとして質問した、「夫はその妻を出しても差しつかえないでしょうか」。
10 3 And He answered and said to them, "What did Moses command you?" イエスは答えて言われた、「モーセはあなたがたになんと命じたか」。
10 4 They said, "Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce, and to dismiss her." 彼らは言った、「モーセは、離縁状を書いて妻を出すことを許しました」。
10 5 And Jesus answered and said to them, "Because of the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. そこでイエスは言われた、「モーセはあなたがたの心が、かたくななので、あなたがたのためにこの定めを書いたのである。
10 6 But from the beginning of the creation, God 'made them male and female.' しかし、天地創造の初めから、『神は人を男と女とに造られた。
10 7 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, それゆえに、人はその父母を離れ、
10 8 and the two shall become one flesh'; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. ふたりの者は一体となるべきである』。彼らはもはや、ふたりではなく一体である。
10 9Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate." だから、神が合わせられたものを、人は離してはならない」。
10 10In the house His disciples also asked Him again about the same matter. 家にはいってから、弟子たちはまたこのことについて尋ねた。
10 11 So He said to them, "Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her. そこで、イエスは言われた、「だれでも、自分の妻を出して他の女をめとる者は、その妻に対して姦淫を行うのである。
10 12 And if a woman divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery." また妻が、その夫と別れて他の男にとつぐならば、姦淫を行うのである」。
10 13 Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them. イエスにさわっていただくために、人々が幼な子らをみもとに連れてきた。ところが、弟子たちは彼らをたしなめた。
10 14 But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. それを見てイエスは憤り、彼らに言われた、「幼な子らをわたしの所に来るままにしておきなさい。止めてはならない。神の国はこのような者の国である。
10 15 Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it." よく聞いておくがよい。だれでも幼な子のように神の国を受けいれる者でなければ、そこにはいることは決してできない」。
10 16 And He took them up in His arms, put His hands on them, and blessed them. そして彼らを抱き、手をその上において祝福された。
10 17 Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, "Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?" イエスが道に出て行かれると、ひとりの人が走り寄り、みまえにひざまずいて尋ねた、「よき師よ、永遠の生命を受けるために、何をしたらよいでしょうか」。
10 18 So Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. イエスは言われた、「なぜわたしをよき者と言うのか。神ひとりのほかによい者はいない。
10 19 You know the commandments: 'Do not commit adultery,' 'Do not murder,' 'Do not steal,' 'Do not bear false witness,' 'Do not defraud,' 'Honor your father and your mother.' " いましめはあなたの知っているとおりである。『殺すな、姦淫するな、盗むな、偽証を立てるな。欺き取るな。父と母とを敬え』」。
10 20 And he answered and said to Him, "Teacher, all these things I have kept from my youth." すると、彼は言った、「先生、それらの事はみな、小さい時から守っております」。
10 21 Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, "One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me." イエスは彼に目をとめ、いつくしんで言われた、「あなたに足りないことが一つある。帰って、持っているものをみな売り払って、貧しい人々に施しなさい。そうすれば、天に宝を持つようになろう。そして、わたしに従ってきなさい」。
10 22 But he was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. すると、彼はこの言葉を聞いて、顔を曇らせ、悲しみながら立ち去った。たくさんの資産を持っていたからである。
10 23 Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, "How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!" それから、イエスは見まわして、弟子たちに言われた、「財産のある者が神の国にはいるのは、なんとむずかしいことであろう」。
10 24 And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, "Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God! 弟子たちはこの言葉に驚き怪しんだ。イエスは更に言われた、「子たちよ、神の国にはいるのは、なんとむずかしいことであろう。
10 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." 富んでいる者が神の国にはいるよりは、らくだが針の穴を通る方が、もっとやさしい」。
10 26 And they were greatly astonished, saying among themselves, "Who then can be saved?" すると彼らはますます驚いて、互に言った、「それでは、だれが救われることができるのだろう」。
10 27 But Jesus looked at them and said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible." イエスは彼らを見つめて言われた、「人にはできないが、神にはできる。神はなんでもできるからである」。
10 28 Then Peter began to say to Him, "See, we have left all and followed You." ペテロがイエスに言い出した、「ごらんなさい、わたしたちはいっさいを捨てて、あなたに従って参りました」。
10 29 So Jesus answered and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel's, イエスは言われた、「よく聞いておくがよい。だれでもわたしのために、また福音のために、家、兄弟、姉妹、母、父、子、もしくは畑を捨てた者は、
10 30 who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time--houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions--and in the age to come, eternal life. 必ずその百倍を受ける。すなわち、今この時代では家、兄弟、姉妹、母、子および畑を迫害と共に受け、また、きたるべき世では永遠の生命を受ける。
10 31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first." しかし、多くの先の者はあとになり、あとの者は先になるであろう」。
10 32 Now they were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was going before them; and they were amazed. And as they followed they were afraid. Then He took the twelve aside again and began to tell them the things that would happen to Him: さて、一同はエルサレムへ上る途上にあったが、イエスが先頭に立って行かれたので、彼らは驚き怪しみ、従う者たちは恐れた。するとイエスはまた十二弟子を呼び寄せて、自分の身に起ろうとすることについて語りはじめられた、
10 33 "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and deliver Him to the Gentiles; 「見よ、わたしたちはエルサレムへ上って行くが、人の子は祭司長、律法学者たちの手に引きわたされる。そして彼らは死刑を宣告した上、彼を異邦人に引きわたすであろう。
10 34 and they will mock Him, and scourge Him, and spit on Him, and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again." また彼をあざけり、つばきをかけ、むち打ち、ついに殺してしまう。そして彼は三日の後によみがえるであろう」。
10 35 Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to Him, saying, "Teacher, we want You to do for us whatever we ask." さて、ゼベダイの子ヤコブとヨハネとがイエスのもとにきて言った、「先生、わたしたちがお頼みすることは、なんでもかなえてくださるようにお願いします」。
10 36 And He said to them, "What do you want Me to do for you?" イエスは彼らに「何をしてほしいと、願うのか」と言われた。
10 37 They said to Him, "Grant us that we may sit, one on Your right hand and the other on Your left, in Your glory." すると彼らは言った、「栄光をお受けになるとき、ひとりをあなたの右に、ひとりを左にすわるようにしてください」。
10 38 But Jesus said to them, "You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?" イエスは言われた、「あなたがたは自分が何を求めているのか、わかっていない。あなたがたは、わたしが飲む杯を飲み、わたしが受けるバプテスマを受けることができるか」。
10 39 They said to Him, "We are able." So Jesus said to them, "You will indeed drink the cup that I drink, and with the baptism I am baptized with you will be baptized; 彼らは「できます」と答えた。するとイエスは言われた、「あなたがたは、わたしが飲む杯を飲み、わたしが受けるバプテスマを受けるであろう。
10 40 but to sit on My right hand and on My left is not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it is prepared." しかし、わたしの右、左にすわらせることは、わたしのすることではなく、ただ備えられている人々だけに許されることである」。
10 41 And when the ten heard it, they began to be greatly displeased with James and John. 十人の者はこれを聞いて、ヤコブとヨハネとのことで憤慨し出した。
10 42 But Jesus called them to Himself and said to them, "You know that those who are considered rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. そこで、イエスは彼らを呼び寄せて言われた、「あなたがたの知っているとおり、異邦人の支配者と見られている人々は、その民を治め、また偉い人たちは、その民の上に権力をふるっている。
10 43 Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. しかし、あなたがたの間では、そうであってはならない。かえって、あなたがたの間で偉くなりたいと思う者は、仕える人となり、
10 44 And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. あなたがたの間でかしらになりたいと思う者は、すべての人の僕とならねばならない。
10 45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many." 人の子がきたのも、仕えられるためではなく、仕えるためであり、また多くの人のあがないとして、自分の命を与えるためである」。
10 46 Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. それから、彼らはエリコにきた。そしてイエスが弟子たちや大ぜいの群衆と共にエリコから出かけられたとき、テマイの子、バルテマイという盲人のこじきが、道ばたにすわっていた。
10 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" ところが、ナザレのイエスだと聞いて、彼は「ダビデの子イエスよ、わたしをあわれんでください」と叫び出した。
10 48 Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" 多くの人々は彼をしかって黙らせようとしたが、彼はますます激しく叫びつづけた、「ダビデの子イエスよ、わたしをあわれんでください」。
10 49 So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, "Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you." イエスは立ちどまって、「彼を呼べ」と命じられた。そこで、人々はその盲人を呼んで言った、「喜べ、立て、おまえを呼んでおられる」。
10 50 And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus. そこで彼は上着を脱ぎ捨て、踊りあがってイエスのもとにきた。
10 51 So Jesus answered and said to him, "What do you want Me to do for you?" The blind man said to Him, "Rabboni, that I may receive my sight." イエスは彼にむかって言われた、「わたしに何をしてほしいのか」。その盲人は言った、「先生、見えるようになることです」。
10 52Then Jesus said to him, "Go your way; your faith has made you well." And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road. そこでイエスは言われた、「行け、あなたの信仰があなたを救った」。すると彼は、たちまち見えるようになり、イエスに従って行った。
マルコの福音書 Mark 11 11
11 1 Now when they drew near Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples; さて、彼らがエルサレムに近づき、オリブの山に沿ったベテパゲ、ベタニヤの附近にきた時、イエスはふたりの弟子をつかわして言われた、
11 2 and He said to them, "Go into the village opposite you; and as soon as you have entered it you will find a colt tied, on which no one has sat. Loose it and bring it. 「むこうの村へ行きなさい。そこにはいるとすぐ、まだだれも乗ったことのないろばの子が、つないであるのを見るであろう。それを解いて引いてきなさい。
11 3 And if anyone says to you, 'Why are you doing this?' say, 'The Lord has need of it,' and immediately he will send it here." もし、だれかがあなたがたに、なぜそんな事をするのかと言ったなら、主がお入り用なのです。またすぐ、ここへ返してくださいますと、言いなさい」。
11 4 So they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door outside on the street, and they loosed it. そこで、彼らは出かけて行き、そして表通りの戸口に、ろばの子がつないであるのを見たので、それを解いた。
11 5 But some of those who stood there said to them, "What are you doing, loosing the colt?" すると、そこに立っていた人々が言った、「そのろばの子を解いて、どうするのか」。
11 6 And they spoke to them just as Jesus had commanded. So they let them go. 弟子たちは、イエスが言われたとおり彼らに話したので、ゆるしてくれた。
11 7 Then they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their clothes on it, and He sat on it. そこで、弟子たちは、そのろばの子をイエスのところに引いてきて、自分たちの上着をそれに投げかけると、イエスはその上にお乗りになった。
11 8 And many spread their clothes on the road, and others cut down leafy branches from the trees and spread them on the road. すると多くの人々は自分たちの上着を道に敷き、また他の人々は葉のついた枝を野原から切ってきて敷いた。
11 9 Then those who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: "Hosanna! 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!' そして、前に行く者も、あとに従う者も共に叫びつづけた、「ホサナ、主の御名によってきたる者に、祝福あれ。
11 10 Blessed is the kingdom of our father David That comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!" 今きたる、われらの父ダビデの国に、祝福あれ。いと高き所に、ホサナ」。
11 11 And Jesus went into Jerusalem and into the temple. So when He had looked around at all things, as the hour was already late, He went out to Bethany with the twelve. こうしてイエスはエルサレムに着き、宮にはいられた。そして、すべてのものを見まわった後、もはや時もおそくなっていたので、十二弟子と共にベタニヤに出て行かれた。
11 12 Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry. 翌日、彼らがベタニヤから出かけてきたとき、イエスは空腹をおぼえられた。
11 13 And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. そして、葉の茂ったいちじくの木を遠くからごらんになって、その木に何かありはしないかと近寄られたが、葉のほかは何も見当らなかった。いちじくの季節でなかったからである。
11 14 In response Jesus said to it, "Let no one eat fruit from you ever again." And His disciples heard it. そこで、イエスはその木にむかって、「今から後いつまでも、おまえの実を食べる者がないように」と言われた。弟子たちはこれを聞いていた。
11 15 So they came to Jerusalem. Then Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. それから、彼らはエルサレムにきた。イエスは宮に入り、宮の庭で売り買いしていた人々を追い出しはじめ、両替人の台や、はとを売る者の腰掛をくつがえし、
11 16 And He would not allow anyone to carry wares through the temple. また器ものを持って宮の庭を通り抜けるのをお許しにならなかった。
11 17Then He taught, saying to them, "Is it not written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations'? But you have made it a 'den of thieves.' " そして、彼らに教えて言われた、「『わたしの家は、すべての国民の祈の家ととなえらるべきである』と書いてあるではないか。それだのに、あなたがたはそれを強盗の巣にしてしまった」。
11 18 And the scribes and chief priests heard it and sought how they might destroy Him; for they feared Him, because all the people were astonished at His teaching. 祭司長、律法学者たちはこれを聞いて、どうかしてイエスを殺そうと計った。彼らは、群衆がみなその教に感動していたので、イエスを恐れていたからである。
11 19 When evening had come, He went out of the city. 夕方になると、イエスと弟子たちとは、いつものように都の外に出て行った。
11 20 Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. 朝はやく道をとおっていると、彼らは先のいちじくが根元から枯れているのを見た。
11 21 And Peter, remembering, said to Him, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away." そこで、ペテロは思い出してイエスに言った、「先生、ごらんなさい。あなたがのろわれたいちじくが、枯れています」。
11 22 So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God. イエスは答えて言われた、「神を信じなさい。
11 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. よく聞いておくがよい。だれでもこの山に、動き出して、海の中にはいれと言い、その言ったことは必ず成ると、心に疑わないで信じるなら、そのとおりに成るであろう。
11 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. そこで、あなたがたに言うが、なんでも祈り求めることは、すでにかなえられたと信じなさい。そうすれば、そのとおりになるであろう。
11 25 "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. また立って祈るとき、だれかに対して、何か恨み事があるならば、ゆるしてやりなさい。そうすれば、天にいますあなたがたの父も、あなたがたのあやまちを、ゆるしてくださるであろう。
11 26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses." 〔もしゆるさないならば、天にいますあなたがたの父も、あなたがたのあやまちを、ゆるしてくださらないであろう〕」。
11 27 Then they came again to Jerusalem. And as He was walking in the temple, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders came to Him. 彼らはまたエルサレムにきた。そして、イエスが宮の内を歩いておられると、祭司長、律法学者、長老たちが、みもとにきて言った、
11 28 And they said to Him, "By what authority are You doing these things? And who gave You this authority to do these things?" 「何の権威によってこれらの事をするのですか。だれが、そうする権威を授けたのですか」。
11 29 But Jesus answered and said to them, "I also will ask you one question; then answer Me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things: そこで、イエスは彼らに言われた、「一つだけ尋ねよう。それに答えてほしい。そうしたら、何の権威によって、わたしがこれらの事をするのか、あなたがたに言おう。
11 30 The baptism of John--was it from heaven or from men? Answer Me." ヨハネのバプテスマは天からであったか、人からであったか、答えなさい」。
11 31 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, "If we say, 'From heaven,' He will say, 'Why then did you not believe him?' すると、彼らは互に論じて言った、「もし天からだと言えば、では、なぜ彼を信じなかったのか、とイエスは言うだろう。
11 32But if we say, 'From men' "--they feared the people, for all counted John to have been a prophet indeed. しかし、人からだと言えば……」。彼らは群衆を恐れていた。人々が皆、ヨハネを預言者だとほんとうに思っていたからである。
11 33 So they answered and said to Jesus, "We do not know." And Jesus answered and said to them, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things." それで彼らは「わたしたちにはわかりません」と答えた。するとイエスは言われた、「わたしも何の権威によってこれらの事をするのか、あなたがたに言うまい」。

12 1 Then He began to speak to them in parables: "A man planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a place for the wine vat and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country. そこでイエスは譬で彼らに語り出された、「ある人がぶどう園を造り、垣をめぐらし、また酒ぶねの穴を掘り、やぐらを立て、それを農夫たちに貸して、旅に出かけた。
12 2 Now at vintage-time he sent a servant to the vinedressers, that he might receive some of the fruit of the vineyard from the vinedressers. 季節になったので、農夫たちのところへ、ひとりの僕を送って、ぶどう園の収穫の分け前を取り立てさせようとした。
12 3 And they took him and beat him and sent him away empty-handed. すると、彼らはその僕をつかまえて、袋だだきにし、から手で帰らせた。
12 4 Again he sent them another servant, and at him they threw stones, wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully treated. また他の僕を送ったが、その頭をなぐって侮辱した。
12 5 And again he sent another, and him they killed; and many others, beating some and killing some. そこでまた他の者を送ったが、今度はそれを殺してしまった。そのほか、なお大ぜいの者を送ったが、彼らを打ったり、殺したりした。
12 6 Therefore still having one son, his beloved, he also sent him to them last, saying, 'They will respect my son.' ここに、もうひとりの者がいた。それは彼の愛子であった。自分の子は敬ってくれるだろうと思って、最後に彼をつかわした。
12 7 But those vinedressers said among themselves, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.' すると、農夫たちは『あれはあと取りだ。さあ、これを殺してしまおう。そうしたら、その財産はわれわれのものになるのだ』と話し合い、
12 8 So they took him and killed him and cast him out of the vineyard. 彼をつかまえて殺し、ぶどう園の外に投げ捨てた。
12 9 Therefore what will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the vinedressers, and give the vineyard to others. このぶどう園の主人は、どうするだろうか。彼は出てきて、農夫たちを殺し、ぶどう園を他の人々に与えるであろう。
12 10 Have you not even read this Scripture: 'The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. あなたがたは、この聖書の句を読んだことがないのか。『家造りらの捨てた石が／隅のかしら石になった。
12 11 This was the Lord's doing, And it is marvelous in our eyes'?" これは主がなされたことで、わたしたちの目には不思議に見える』」。
12 12 And they sought to lay hands on Him, but feared the multitude, for they knew He had spoken the parable against them. So they left Him and went away. 彼らはいまの譬が、自分たちに当てて語られたことを悟ったので、イエスを捕えようとしたが、群衆を恐れた。そしてイエスをそこに残して立ち去った。
12 13 Then they sent to Him some of the Pharisees and the Herodians, to catch Him in His words. さて、人々はパリサイ人やヘロデ党の者を数人、イエスのもとにつかわして、その言葉じりを捕えようとした。
12 14 When they had come, they said to Him, "Teacher, we know that You are true, and care about no one; for You do not regard the person of men, but teach the way of God in truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not? 彼らはきてイエスに言った、「先生、わたしたちはあなたが真実なかたで、だれをも、はばかられないことを知っています。あなたは人に分け隔てをなさらないで、真理に基いて神の道を教えてくださいます。ところで、カイザルに税金を納めてよいでしょうか、いけないでしょうか。納めるべきでしょうか、納めてはならないのでしょうか」。
12 15 Shall we pay, or shall we not pay?" But He, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, "Why do you test Me? Bring Me a denarius that I may see it." イエスは彼らの偽善を見抜いて言われた、「なぜわたしをためそうとするのか。デナリを持ってきて見せなさい」。
12 16 So they brought it. And He said to them, "Whose image and inscription is this?" They said to Him, "Caesar's." 彼らはそれを持ってきた。そこでイエスは言われた、「これは、だれの肖像、だれの記号か」。彼らは「カイザルのです」と答えた。
12 17 And Jesus answered and said to them, "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." And they marveled at Him. するとイエスは言われた、「カイザルのものはカイザルに、神のものは神に返しなさい」。彼らはイエスに驚嘆した。
12 18 Then some Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Him; and they asked Him, saying: 復活ということはないと主張していたサドカイ人たちが、イエスのもとにきて質問した、
12 19"Teacher, Moses wrote to us that if a man's brother dies, and leaves his wife behind, and leaves no children, his brother should take his wife and raise up offspring for his brother. 「先生、モーセは、わたしたちのためにこう書いています、『もし、ある人の兄が死んで、その残された妻に、子がない場合には、弟はこの女をめとって、兄のために子をもうけねばならない』。
12 20 Now there were seven brothers. The first took a wife; and dying, he left no offspring. ここに、七人の兄弟がいました。長男は妻をめとりましたが、子がなくて死に、
12 21And the second took her, and he died; nor did he leave any offspring. And the third likewise. 次男がその女をめとって、また子をもうけずに死に、三男も同様でした。
12 22 So the seven had her and left no offspring. Last of all the woman died also. こうして、七人ともみな子孫を残しませんでした。最後にその女も死にました。
12 23 Therefore, in the resurrection, when they rise, whose wife will she be? For all seven had her as wife." 復活のとき、彼らが皆よみがえった場合、この女はだれの妻なのでしょうか。七人とも彼女を妻にしたのですが」。
12 24 Jesus answered and said to them, "Are you not therefore mistaken, because you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God? イエスは言われた、「あなたがたがそんな思い違いをしているのは、聖書も神の力も知らないからではないか。
12 25 For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. 彼らが死人の中からよみがえるときには、めとったり、とついだりすることはない。彼らは天にいる御使のようなものである。
12 26But concerning the dead, that they rise, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the burning bush passage, how God spoke to him, saying, 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? 死人がよみがえることについては、モーセの書の柴の篇で、神がモーセに仰せられた言葉を読んだことがないのか。『わたしはアブラハムの神、イサクの神、ヤコブの神である』とあるではないか。
12 27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living. You are therefore greatly mistaken." 神は死んだ者の神ではなく、生きている者の神である。あなたがたは非常な思い違いをしている」。
12 28 Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, "Which is the first commandment of all?" ひとりの律法学者がきて、彼らが互に論じ合っているのを聞き、またイエスが巧みに答えられたのを認めて、イエスに質問した、「すべてのいましめの中で、どれが第一のものですか」。
12 29 Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments is: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. イエスは答えられた、「第一のいましめはこれである、『イスラエルよ、聞け。主なるわたしたちの神は、ただひとりの主である。
12 30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment. 心をつくし、精神をつくし、思いをつくし、力をつくして、主なるあなたの神を愛せよ』。
12 31 And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these." 第二はこれである、『自分を愛するようにあなたの隣り人を愛せよ』。これより大事ないましめは、ほかにない」。
12 32 So the scribe said to Him, "Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but He. そこで、この律法学者はイエスに言った、「先生、仰せのとおりです、『神はひとりであって、そのほかに神はない』と言われたのは、ほんとうです。
12 33 And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one's neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices." また『心をつくし、知恵をつくし、力をつくして神を愛し、また自分を愛するように隣り人を愛する』ということは、すべての燔祭や犠牲よりも、はるかに大事なことです」。
12 34 Now when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." But after that no one dared question Him. イエスは、彼が適切な答をしたのを見て言われた、「あなたは神の国から遠くない」。それから後は、イエスにあえて問う者はなかった。
12 35 Then Jesus answered and said, while He taught in the temple, "How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the Son of David? イエスが宮で教えておられたとき、こう言われた、「律法学者たちは、どうしてキリストをダビデの子だと言うのか。
12 36 For David himself said by the Holy Spirit: 'The Lord said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool." ' ダビデ自身が聖霊に感じて言った、『主はわが主に仰せになった、あなたの敵をあなたの足もとに置くときまでは、わたしの右に座していなさい』。
12 37 Therefore David himself calls Him 'Lord'; how is He then his Son?" And the common people heard Him gladly. このように、ダビデ自身がキリストを主と呼んでいる。それなら、どうしてキリストはダビデの子であろうか」。大ぜいの群衆は、喜んでイエスに耳を傾けていた。
12 38 Then He said to them in His teaching, "Beware of the scribes, who desire to go around in long robes, love greetings in the marketplaces, イエスはその教の中で言われた、「律法学者に気をつけなさい。彼らは長い衣を着て歩くことや、広場であいさつされることや、
12 39 the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts, また会堂の上席、宴会の上座を好んでいる。
12 40 who devour widows' houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation." また、やもめたちの家を食い倒し、見えのために長い祈をする。彼らはもっときびしいさばきを受けるであろう」。
12 41Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury. And many who were rich put in much. イエスは、さいせん箱にむかってすわり、群衆がその箱に金を投げ入れる様子を見ておられた。多くの金持は、たくさんの金を投げ入れていた。
12 42Then one poor widow came and threw in two mites, which make a quadrans. ところが、ひとりの貧しいやもめがきて、レプタ二つを入れた。それは一コドラントに当る。
12 43 So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; そこで、イエスは弟子たちを呼び寄せて言われた、「よく聞きなさい。あの貧しいやもめは、さいせん箱に投げ入れている人たちの中で、だれよりもたくさん入れたのだ。
12 44 for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood." みんなの者はありあまる中から投げ入れたが、あの婦人はその乏しい中から、あらゆる持ち物、その生活費全部を入れたからである」。
マルコの福音書 Mark 13 13
13 1 Then as He went out of the temple, one of His disciples said to Him, "Teacher, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!" イエスが宮から出て行かれるとき、弟子のひとりが言った、「先生、ごらんなさい。なんという見事な石、なんという立派な建物でしょう」。
13 2 And Jesus answered and said to him, "Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone shall be left upon another, that shall not be thrown down." イエスは言われた、「あなたは、これらの大きな建物をながめているのか。その石一つでもくずされないままで、他の石の上に残ることもなくなるであろう」。
13 3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked Him privately, またオリブ山で、宮にむかってすわっておられると、ペテロ、ヤコブ、ヨハネ、アンデレが、ひそかにお尋ねした。
13 4 "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?" 「わたしたちにお話しください。いつ、そんなことが起るのでしょうか。またそんなことがことごとく成就するような場合には、どんな前兆がありますか」。
13 5 And Jesus, answering them, began to say: "Take heed that no one deceives you. そこで、イエスは話しはじめられた、「人に惑わされないように気をつけなさい。
13 6 For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am He,' and will deceive many. 多くの者がわたしの名を名のって現れ、自分がそれだと言って、多くの人を惑わすであろう。
13 7 But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet. また、戦争と戦争のうわさとを聞くときにも、あわてるな。それは起らねばならないが、まだ終りではない。
13 8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows. 民は民に、国は国に敵対して立ち上がるであろう。またあちこちに地震があり、またききんが起るであろう。これらは産みの苦しみの初めである。
13 9 But watch out for yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be beaten in the synagogues. You will be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them. あなたがたは自分で気をつけていなさい。あなたがたは、わたしのために、衆議所に引きわたされ、会堂で打たれ、長官たちや王たちの前に立たされ、彼らに対してあかしをさせられるであろう。
13 10 And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations. こうして、福音はまずすべての民に宣べ伝えられねばならない。
13 11 But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. そして、人々があなたがたを連れて行って引きわたすとき、何を言おうかと、前もって心配するな。その場合、自分に示されることを語るがよい。語る者はあなたがた自身ではなくて、聖霊である。
13 12 Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. また兄弟は兄弟を、父は子を殺すために渡し、子は両親に逆らって立ち、彼らを殺させるであろう。
13 13 And you will be hated by all for My name's sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. また、あなたがたはわたしの名のゆえに、すべての人に憎まれるであろう。しかし、最後まで耐え忍ぶ者は救われる。
13 14 "So when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not" (let the reader understand), "then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 荒らす憎むべきものが、立ってはならぬ所に立つのを見たならば（読者よ、悟れ）、そのとき、ユダヤにいる人々は山へ逃げよ。
13 15 Let him who is on the housetop not go down into the house, nor enter to take anything out of his house. 屋上にいる者は、下におりるな。また家から物を取り出そうとして内にはいるな。
13 16 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 畑にいる者は、上着を取りにあとへもどるな。
13 17 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! その日には、身重の女と乳飲み子をもつ女とは、不幸である。
13 18 And pray that your flight may not be in winter. この事が冬おこらぬように祈れ。
13 19For in those days there will be tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the creation which God created until this time, nor ever shall be. その日には、神が万物を造られた創造の初めから現在に至るまで、かつてなく今後もないような患難が起るからである。
13 20 And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake, whom He chose, He shortened the days. もし主がその期間を縮めてくださらないなら、救われる者はひとりもないであろう。しかし、選ばれた選民のために、その期間を縮めてくださったのである。
13 21 Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'Look, He is there!' do not believe it. そのとき、だれかがあなたがたに『見よ、ここにキリストがいる』、『見よ、あそこにいる』と言っても、それを信じるな。
13 22 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. にせキリストたちや、にせ預言者たちが起って、しるしと奇跡とを行い、できれば、選民をも惑わそうとするであろう。
13 23 But take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand. だから、気をつけていなさい。いっさいの事を、あなたがたに前もって言っておく。
13 24 "But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; その日には、この患難の後、日は暗くなり、月はその光を放つことをやめ、
13 25 the stars of heaven will fall, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. 星は空から落ち、天体は揺り動かされるであろう。
13 26 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. そのとき、大いなる力と栄光とをもって、人の子が雲に乗って来るのを、人々は見るであろう。
13 27 And then He will send His angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven. そのとき、彼は御使たちをつかわして、地のはてから天のはてまで、四方からその選民を呼び集めるであろう。
13 28 "Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. いちじくの木からこの譬を学びなさい。その枝が柔らかになり、葉が出るようになると、夏の近いことがわかる。
13 29 So you also, when you see these things happening, know that it is near--at the doors! そのように、これらの事が起るのを見たならば、人の子が戸口まで近づいていると知りなさい。
13 30 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. よく聞いておきなさい。これらの事が、ことごとく起るまでは、この時代は滅びることがない。
13 31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. 天地は滅びるであろう。しかしわたしの言葉は滅びることがない。
13 32"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. その日、その時は、だれも知らない。天にいる御使たちも、また子も知らない、ただ父だけが知っておられる。
13 33 Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is. 気をつけて、目をさましていなさい。その時がいつであるか、あなたがたにはわからないからである。
13 34 It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch. それはちょうど、旅に立つ人が家を出るに当り、その僕たちに、それぞれ仕事を割り当てて責任をもたせ、門番には目をさましておれと、命じるようなものである。
13 35Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming--in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning-- だから、目をさましていなさい。いつ、家の主人が帰って来るのか、夕方か、夜中か、にわとりの鳴くころか、明け方か、わからないからである。
13 36 lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. あるいは急に帰ってきて、あなたがたの眠っているところを見つけるかも知れない。
13 37And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!" 目をさましていなさい。わたしがあなたがたに言うこの言葉は、すべての人々に言うのである」。
マルコの福音書 Mark 14 14
14 1 After two days it was the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take Him by trickery and put Him to death. さて、過越と除酵との祭の二日前になった。祭司長たちや律法学者たちは、策略をもってイエスを捕えたうえ、なんとかして殺そうと計っていた。
14 2 But they said, "Not during the feast, lest there be an uproar of the people." 彼らは、「祭の間はいけない。民衆が騒ぎを起すかも知れない」と言っていた。
14 3 And being in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster flask of very costly oil of spikenard. Then she broke the flask and poured it on His head. イエスがベタニヤで、らい病人シモンの家にいて、食卓についておられたとき、ひとりの女が、非常に高価で純粋なナルドの香油が入れてある石膏のつぼを持ってきて、それをこわし、香油をイエスの頭に注ぎかけた。
14 4 But there were some who were indignant among themselves, and said, "Why was this fragrant oil wasted? すると、ある人々が憤って互に言った、「なんのために香油をこんなにむだにするのか。
14 5 For it might have been sold for more than three hundred denarii and given to the poor." And they criticized her sharply. この香油を三百デナリ以上にでも売って、貧しい人たちに施すことができたのに」。そして女をきびしくとがめた。
14 6 But Jesus said, "Let her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a good work for Me. するとイエスは言われた、「するままにさせておきなさい。なぜ女を困らせるのか。わたしによい事をしてくれたのだ。
14 7 For you have the poor with you always, and whenever you wish you may do them good; but Me you do not have always. 貧しい人たちはいつもあなたがたと一緒にいるから、したいときにはいつでも、よい事をしてやれる。しかし、わたしはあなたがたといつも一緒にいるわけではない。
14 8 She has done what she could. She has come beforehand to anoint My body for burial. この女はできる限りの事をしたのだ。すなわち、わたしのからだに油を注いで、あらかじめ葬りの用意をしてくれたのである。
14 9 Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her." よく聞きなさい。全世界のどこででも、福音が宣べ伝えられる所では、この女のした事も記念として語られるであろう」。
14 10Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests to betray Him to them. ときに、十二弟子のひとりイスカリオテのユダは、イエスを祭司長たちに引きわたそうとして、彼らの所へ行った。
14 11 And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. So he sought how he might conveniently betray Him. 彼らはこれを聞いて喜び、金を与えることを約束した。そこでユダは、どうかしてイエスを引きわたそうと、機会をねらっていた。
14 12 Now on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they killed the Passover lamb, His disciples said to Him, "Where do You want us to go and prepare, that You may eat the Passover?" 除酵祭の第一日、すなわち過越の小羊をほふる日に、弟子たちがイエスに尋ねた、「わたしたちは、過越の食事をなさる用意を、どこへ行ってしたらよいでしょうか」。
14 13And He sent out two of His disciples and said to them, "Go into the city, and a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him. そこで、イエスはふたりの弟子を使いに出して言われた、「市内に行くと、水がめを持っている男に出会うであろう。その人について行きなさい。
14 14 Wherever he goes in, say to the master of the house, 'The Teacher says, "Where is the guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?" ' そして、その人がはいって行く家の主人に言いなさい、『弟子たちと一緒に過越の食事をする座敷はどこか、と先生が言っておられます』。
14 15 Then he will show you a large upper room, furnished and prepared; there make ready for us." するとその主人は、席を整えて用意された二階の広間を見せてくれるから、そこにわたしたちのために用意をしなさい」。
14 16So His disciples went out, and came into the city, and found it just as He had said to them; and they prepared the Passover. 弟子たちは出かけて市内に行って見ると、イエスが言われたとおりであったので、過越の食事の用意をした。
14 17 In the evening He came with the twelve. 夕方になって、イエスは十二弟子と一緒にそこに行かれた。
14 18 Now as they sat and ate, Jesus said, "Assuredly, I say to you, one of you who eats with Me will betray Me." そして、一同が席について食事をしているとき言われた、「特にあなたがたに言っておくが、あなたがたの中のひとりで、わたしと一緒に食事をしている者が、わたしを裏切ろうとしている」。
14 19 And they began to be sorrowful, and to say to Him one by one, "Is it I?" And another said, "Is it I?" 弟子たちは心配して、ひとりびとり「まさか、わたしではないでしょう」と言い出した。
14 20 He answered and said to them, "It is one of the twelve, who dips with Me in the dish. イエスは言われた、「十二人の中のひとりで、わたしと一緒に同じ鉢にパンをひたしている者が、それである。
14 21 The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had never been born." たしかに人の子は、自分について書いてあるとおりに去って行く。しかし、人の子を裏切るその人は、わざわいである。その人は生れなかった方が、彼のためによかったであろう」。
14 22 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them and said, "Take, eat; this is My body." 一同が食事をしているとき、イエスはパンを取り、祝福してこれをさき、弟子たちに与えて言われた、「取れ、これはわたしのからだである」。
14 23 Then He took the cup, and when He had given thanks He gave it to them, and they all drank from it. また杯を取り、感謝して彼らに与えられると、一同はその杯から飲んだ。
14 24 And He said to them, "This is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many. イエスはまた言われた、「これは、多くの人のために流すわたしの契約の血である。
14 25 Assuredly, I say to you, I will no longer drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God." あなたがたによく言っておく。神の国で新しく飲むその日までは、わたしは決して二度と、ぶどうの実から造ったものを飲むことをしない」。
14 26 And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. 彼らは、さんびを歌った後、オリブ山へ出かけて行った。
14 27 Then Jesus said to them, "All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written: 'I will strike the Shepherd, And the sheep will be scattered.' そのとき、イエスは弟子たちに言われた、「あなたがたは皆、わたしにつまずくであろう。『わたしは羊飼を打つ。そして、羊は散らされるであろう』と書いてあるからである。
14 28 "But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee." しかしわたしは、よみがえってから、あなたがたより先にガリラヤへ行くであろう」。
14 29 Peter said to Him, "Even if all are made to stumble, yet I will not be." するとペテロはイエスに言った、「たとい、みんなの者がつまずいても、わたしはつまずきません」。
14 30 Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you that today, even this night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times." イエスは言われた、「あなたによく言っておく。きょう、今夜、にわとりが二度鳴く前に、そう言うあなたが、三度わたしを知らないと言うだろう」。
14 31 But he spoke more vehemently, "If I have to die with You, I will not deny You!" And they all said likewise. ペテロは力をこめて言った、「たといあなたと一緒に死なねばならなくなっても、あなたを知らないなどとは、決して申しません」。みんなの者もまた、同じようなことを言った。
14 32 Then they came to a place which was named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, "Sit here while I pray." さて、一同はゲツセマネという所にきた。そしてイエスは弟子たちに言われた、「わたしが祈っている間、ここにすわっていなさい」。
14 33 And He took Peter, James, and John with Him, and He began to be troubled and deeply distressed. そしてペテロ、ヤコブ、ヨハネを一緒に連れて行かれたが、恐れおののき、また悩みはじめて、彼らに言われた、
14 34 Then He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch." 「わたしは悲しみのあまり死ぬほどである。ここに待っていて、目をさましていなさい」。
14 35 He went a little farther, and fell on the ground, and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. そして少し進んで行き、地にひれ伏し、もしできることなら、この時を過ぎ去らせてくださるようにと祈りつづけ、そして言われた、
14 36And He said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will." 「アバ、父よ、あなたには、できないことはありません。どうか、この杯をわたしから取りのけてください。しかし、わたしの思いではなく、みこころのままになさってください」。
14 37 Then He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "Simon, are you sleeping? Could you not watch one hour? それから、きてごらんになると、弟子たちが眠っていたので、ペテロに言われた、「シモンよ、眠っているのか、ひと時も目をさましていることができなかったのか。
14 38Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." 誘惑に陥らないように、目をさまして祈っていなさい。心は熱しているが、肉体が弱いのである」。
14 39 Again He went away and prayed, and spoke the same words. また離れて行って同じ言葉で祈られた。
14 40 And when He returned, He found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy; and they did not know what to answer Him. またきてごらんになると、彼らはまだ眠っていた。その目が重くなっていたのである。そして、彼らはどうお答えしてよいか、わからなかった。
14 41 Then He came the third time and said to them, "Are you still sleeping and resting? It is enough! The hour has come; behold, the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners. 三度目にきて言われた、「まだ眠っているのか、休んでいるのか。もうそれでよかろう。時がきた。見よ、人の子は罪人らの手に渡されるのだ。
14 42 Rise, let us be going. See, My betrayer is at hand." 立て、さあ行こう。見よ。わたしを裏切る者が近づいてきた」。
14 43And immediately, while He was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, with a great multitude with swords and clubs, came from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders. そしてすぐ、イエスがまだ話しておられるうちに、十二弟子のひとりのユダが進みよってきた。また祭司長、律法学者、長老たちから送られた群衆も、剣と棒とを持って彼についてきた。
14 44 Now His betrayer had given them a signal, saying, "Whomever I kiss, He is the One; seize Him and lead Him away safely." イエスを裏切る者は、あらかじめ彼らに合図をしておいた、「わたしの接吻する者が、その人だ。その人をつかまえて、まちがいなく引っぱって行け」。
14 45 As soon as He had come, immediately he went up to Him and said to Him, "Rabbi, Rabbi!" and kissed Him. 彼は来るとすぐ、イエスに近寄り、「先生」と言って接吻した。
14 46 Then they laid their hands on Him and took Him. 人々はイエスに手をかけてつかまえた。
14 47 And one of those who stood by drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear. すると、イエスのそばに立っていた者のひとりが、剣を抜いて大祭司の僕に切りかかり、その片耳を切り落した。
14 48 Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs to take Me? イエスは彼らにむかって言われた、「あなたがたは強盗にむかうように、剣や棒を持ってわたしを捕えにきたのか。
14 49 I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and you did not seize Me. But the Scriptures must be fulfilled." わたしは毎日あなたがたと一緒に宮にいて教えていたのに、わたしをつかまえはしなかった。しかし聖書の言葉は成就されねばならない」。
14 50 Then they all forsook Him and fled. 弟子たちは皆イエスを見捨てて逃げ去った。
14 51 Now a certain young man followed Him, having a linen cloth thrown around his naked body. And the young men laid hold of him, ときに、ある若者が身に亜麻布をまとって、イエスのあとについて行ったが、人々が彼をつかまえようとしたので、
14 52 and he left the linen cloth and fled from them naked. その亜麻布を捨てて、裸で逃げて行った。
14 53 And they led Jesus away to the high priest; and with him were assembled all the chief priests, the elders, and the scribes. それから、イエスを大祭司のところに連れて行くと、祭司長、長老、律法学者たちがみな集まってきた。
14 54 But Peter followed Him at a distance, right into the courtyard of the high priest. And he sat with the servants and warmed himself at the fire. ペテロは遠くからイエスについて行って、大祭司の中庭まではいり込み、その下役どもにまじってすわり、火にあたっていた。
14 55 Now the chief priests and all the council sought testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, but found none. さて、祭司長たちと全議会とは、イエスを死刑にするために、イエスに不利な証拠を見つけようとしたが、得られなかった。
14 56 For many bore false witness against Him, but their testimonies did not agree. 多くの者がイエスに対して偽証を立てたが、その証言が合わなかったからである。
14 57 Then some rose up and bore false witness against Him, saying, ついに、ある人々が立ちあがり、イエスに対して偽証を立てて言った、
14 58 "We heard Him say, 'I will destroy this temple made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.' " 「わたしたちはこの人が『わたしは手で造ったこの神殿を打ちこわし、三日の後に手で造られない別の神殿を建てるのだ』と言うのを聞きました」。
14 59 But not even then did their testimony agree. しかし、このような証言も互に合わなかった。
14 60 And the high priest stood up in the midst and asked Jesus, saying, "Do You answer nothing? What is it these men testify against You?" そこで大祭司が立ちあがって、まん中に進み、イエスに聞きただして言った、「何も答えないのか。これらの人々があなたに対して不利な証言を申し立てているが、どうなのか」。
14 61 But He kept silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked Him, saying to Him, "Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?" しかし、イエスは黙っていて、何もお答えにならなかった。大祭司は再び聞きただして言った、「あなたは、ほむべき者の子、キリストであるか」。
14 62 Jesus said, "I am. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven." イエスは言われた、「わたしがそれである。あなたがたは人の子が力ある者の右に座し、天の雲に乗って来るのを見るであろう」。
14 63 Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, "What further need do we have of witnesses? すると、大祭司はその衣を引き裂いて言った、「どうして、これ以上、証人の必要があろう。
14 64 You have heard the blasphemy! What do you think?" And they all condemned Him to be deserving of death. あなたがたはこのけがし言を聞いた。あなたがたの意見はどうか」。すると、彼らは皆、イエスを死に当るものと断定した。
14 65 Then some began to spit on Him, and to blindfold Him, and to beat Him, and to say to Him, "Prophesy!" And the officers struck Him with the palms of their hands. そして、ある者はイエスにつばきをかけ、目隠しをし、こぶしでたたいて、「言いあててみよ」と言いはじめた。また下役どもはイエスを引きとって、手のひらでたたいた。
14 66 Now as Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the servant girls of the high priest came. ペテロは下で中庭にいたが、大祭司の女中のひとりがきて、
14 67 And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked at him and said, "You also were with Jesus of Nazareth." ペテロが火にあたっているのを見ると、彼を見つめて、「あなたもあのナザレ人イエスと一緒だった」と言った。
14 68But he denied it, saying, "I neither know nor understand what you are saying." And he went out on the porch, and a rooster crowed. するとペテロはそれを打ち消して、「わたしは知らない。あなたの言うことがなんの事か、わからない」と言って、庭口の方に出て行った。
14 69And the servant girl saw him again, and began to say to those who stood by, "This is one of them." ところが、先の女中が彼を見て、そばに立っていた人々に、またもや「この人はあの仲間のひとりです」と言いだした。
14 70 But he denied it again. And a little later those who stood by said to Peter again, "Surely you are one of them; for you are a Galilean, and your speech shows it." ペテロは再びそれを打ち消した。しばらくして、そばに立っていた人たちがまたペテロに言った、「確かにあなたは彼らの仲間だ。あなたもガリラヤ人だから」。
14 71 Then he began to curse and swear, "I do not know this Man of whom you speak!" しかし、彼は、「あなたがたの話しているその人のことは何も知らない」と言い張って、激しく誓いはじめた。
14 72 A second time the rooster crowed. Then Peter called to mind the word that Jesus had said to him, "Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times." And when he thought about it, he wept. するとすぐ、にわとりが二度目に鳴いた。ペテロは、「にわとりが二度鳴く前に、三度わたしを知らないと言うであろう」と言われたイエスの言葉を思い出し、そして思いかえして泣きつづけた。
マルコの福音書 Mark 15 15
15 1 Immediately, in the morning, the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council; and they bound Jesus, led Him away, and delivered Him to Pilate. 夜が明けるとすぐ、祭司長たちは長老、律法学者たち、および全議会と協議をこらした末、イエスを縛って引き出し、ピラトに渡した。
15 2 Then Pilate asked Him, "Are You the King of the Jews?" He answered and said to him, "It is as you say." ピラトはイエスに尋ねた、「あなたがユダヤ人の王であるか」。イエスは、「そのとおりである」とお答えになった。
15 3 And the chief priests accused Him of many things, but He answered nothing. そこで祭司長たちは、イエスのことをいろいろと訴えた。
15 4 Then Pilate asked Him again, saying, "Do You answer nothing? See how many things they testify against You!" ピラトはもう一度イエスに尋ねた、「何も答えないのか。見よ、あなたに対してあんなにまで次々に訴えているではないか」。
15 5 But Jesus still answered nothing, so that Pilate marveled. しかし、イエスはピラトが不思議に思うほどに、もう何もお答えにならなかった。
15 6 Now at the feast he was accustomed to releasing one prisoner to them, whomever they requested. さて、祭のたびごとに、ピラトは人々が願い出る囚人ひとりを、ゆるしてやることにしていた。
15 7 And there was one named Barabbas, who was chained with his fellow rebels; they had committed murder in the rebellion. ここに、暴動を起し人殺しをしてつながれていた暴徒の中に、バラバという者がいた。
15 8 Then the multitude, crying aloud, began to ask him to do just as he had always done for them. 群衆が押しかけてきて、いつものとおりにしてほしいと要求しはじめたので、
15 9 But Pilate answered them, saying, "Do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?" ピラトは彼らにむかって、「おまえたちはユダヤ人の王をゆるしてもらいたいのか」と言った。
15 10 For he knew that the chief priests had handed Him over because of envy. それは、祭司長たちがイエスを引きわたしたのは、ねたみのためであることが、ピラトにわかっていたからである。
15 11 But the chief priests stirred up the crowd, so that he should rather release Barabbas to them. しかし祭司長たちは、バラバの方をゆるしてもらうように、群衆を煽動した。
15 12Pilate answered and said to them again, "What then do you want me to do with Him whom you call the King of the Jews?" そこでピラトはまた彼らに言った、「それでは、おまえたちがユダヤ人の王と呼んでいるあの人は、どうしたらよいか」。
15 13 So they cried out again, "Crucify Him!" 彼らは、また叫んだ、「十字架につけよ」。
15 14 Then Pilate said to them, "Why, what evil has He done?" But they cried out all the more, "Crucify Him!" ピラトは言った、「あの人は、いったい、どんな悪事をしたのか」。すると、彼らは一そう激しく叫んで、「十字架につけよ」と言った。
15 15 So Pilate, wanting to gratify the crowd, released Barabbas to them; and he delivered Jesus, after he had scourged Him, to be crucified. それで、ピラトは群衆を満足させようと思って、バラバをゆるしてやり、イエスをむち打ったのち、十字架につけるために引きわたした。
15 16 Then the soldiers led Him away into the hall called Praetorium, and they called together the whole garrison. 兵士たちはイエスを、邸宅、すなわち総督官邸の内に連れて行き、全部隊を呼び集めた。
15 17 And they clothed Him with purple; and they twisted a crown of thorns, put it on His head, そしてイエスに紫の衣を着せ、いばらの冠を編んでかぶらせ、
15 18 and began to salute Him, "Hail, King of the Jews!" 「ユダヤ人の王、ばんざい」と言って敬礼をしはじめた。
15 19 Then they struck Him on the head with a reed and spat on Him; and bowing the knee, they worshiped Him. また、葦の棒でその頭をたたき、つばきをかけ、ひざまずいて拝んだりした。
15 20 And when they had mocked Him, they took the purple off Him, put His own clothes on Him, and led Him out to crucify Him. こうして、イエスを嘲弄したあげく、紫の衣をはぎとり、元の上着を着せた。それから、彼らはイエスを十字架につけるために引き出した。
15 21 Then they compelled a certain man, Simon a Cyrenian, the father of Alexander and Rufus, as he was coming out of the country and passing by, to bear His cross. そこへ、アレキサンデルとルポスとの父シモンというクレネ人が、郊外からきて通りかかったので、人々はイエスの十字架を無理に負わせた。
15 22 And they brought Him to the place Golgotha, which is translated, Place of a Skull. そしてイエスをゴルゴダ、その意味は、されこうべ、という所に連れて行った。
15 23 Then they gave Him wine mingled with myrrh to drink, but He did not take it. そしてイエスに、没薬をまぜたぶどう酒をさし出したが、お受けにならなかった。
15 24 And when they crucified Him, they divided His garments, casting lots for them to determine what every man should take. それから、イエスを十字架につけた。そしてくじを引いて、だれが何を取るかを定めたうえ、イエスの着物を分けた。
15 25 Now it was the third hour, and they crucified Him. イエスを十字架につけたのは、朝の九時ごろであった。
15 26 And the inscription of His accusation was written above: THE KING OF THE JEWS. イエスの罪状書きには「ユダヤ人の王」と、しるしてあった。
15 27 With Him they also crucified two robbers, one on His right and the other on His left. また、イエスと共にふたりの強盗を、ひとりを右に、ひとりを左に、十字架につけた。
15 28 So the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "And He was numbered with the transgressors." 〔こうして「彼は罪人たちのひとりに数えられた」と書いてある言葉が成就したのである。〕
15 29 And those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads and saying, "Aha! You who destroy the temple and build it in three days, そこを通りかかった者たちは、頭を振りながら、イエスをののしって言った、「ああ、神殿を打ちこわして三日のうちに建てる者よ、
15 30 save Yourself, and come down from the cross!" 十字架からおりてきて自分を救え」。
15 31 Likewise the chief priests also, mocking among themselves with the scribes, said, "He saved others; Himself He cannot save. 祭司長たちも同じように、律法学者たちと一緒になって、かわるがわる嘲弄して言った、「他人を救ったが、自分自身を救うことができない。
15 32 Let the Christ, the King of Israel, descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe." Even those who were crucified with Him reviled Him. イスラエルの王キリスト、いま十字架からおりてみるがよい。それを見たら信じよう」。また、一緒に十字架につけられた者たちも、イエスをののしった。
15 33 Now when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. 昼の十二時になると、全地は暗くなって、三時に及んだ。
15 34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?" which is translated, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" そして三時に、イエスは大声で、「エロイ、エロイ、ラマ、サバクタニ」と叫ばれた。それは「わが神、わが神、どうしてわたしをお見捨てになったのですか」という意味である。
15 35 Some of those who stood by, when they heard that, said, "Look, He is calling for Elijah!" すると、そばに立っていたある人々が、これを聞いて言った、「そら、エリヤを呼んでいる」。
15 36 Then someone ran and filled a sponge full of sour wine, put it on a reed, and offered it to Him to drink, saying, "Let Him alone; let us see if Elijah will come to take Him down." ひとりの人が走って行き、海綿に酢いぶどう酒を含ませて葦の棒につけ、イエスに飲ませようとして言った、「待て、エリヤが彼をおろしに来るかどうか、見ていよう」。
15 37 And Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and breathed His last. イエスは声高く叫んで、ついに息をひきとられた。
15 38 Then the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. そのとき、神殿の幕が上から下まで真二つに裂けた。
15 39 So when the centurion, who stood opposite Him, saw that He cried out like this and breathed His last, he said, "Truly this Man was the Son of God!" イエスにむかって立っていた百卒長は、このようにして息をひきとられたのを見て言った、「まことに、この人は神の子であった」。
15 40 There were also women looking on from afar, among whom were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the Less and of Joses, and Salome, また、遠くの方から見ている女たちもいた。その中には、マグダラのマリヤ、小ヤコブとヨセとの母マリヤ、またサロメがいた。
15 41 who also followed Him and ministered to Him when He was in Galilee, and many other women who came up with Him to Jerusalem. 彼らはイエスがガリラヤにおられたとき、そのあとに従って仕えた女たちであった。なおそのほか、イエスと共にエルサレムに上ってきた多くの女たちもいた。
15 42 Now when evening had come, because it was the Preparation Day, that is, the day before the Sabbath, さて、すでに夕がたになったが、その日は準備の日、すなわち安息日の前日であったので、
15 43 Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent council member, who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God, coming and taking courage, went in to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. アリマタヤのヨセフが大胆にもピラトの所へ行き、イエスのからだの引取りかたを願った。彼は地位の高い議員であって、彼自身、神の国を待ち望んでいる人であった。
15 44 Pilate marveled that He was already dead; and summoning the centurion, he asked him if He had been dead for some time. ピラトは、イエスがもはや死んでしまったのかと不審に思い、百卒長を呼んで、もう死んだのかと尋ねた。
15 45 So when he found out from the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph. そして、百卒長から確かめた上、死体をヨセフに渡した。
15 46 Then he bought fine linen, took Him down, and wrapped Him in the linen. And he laid Him in a tomb which had been hewn out of the rock, and rolled a stone against the door of the tomb. そこで、ヨセフは亜麻布を買い求め、イエスをとりおろして、その亜麻布に包み、岩を掘って造った墓に納め、墓の入口に石をころがしておいた。
15 47 And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses observed where He was laid. マグダラのマリヤとヨセの母マリヤとは、イエスが納められた場所を見とどけた。
マルコの福音書 Mark 16 16
16 1 Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him. さて、安息日が終ったので、マグダラのマリヤとヤコブの母マリヤとサロメとが、行ってイエスに塗るために、香料を買い求めた。
16 2 Very early in the morning, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen. そして週の初めの日に、早朝、日の出のころ墓に行った。
16 3 And they said among themselves, "Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?" そして、彼らは「だれが、わたしたちのために、墓の入口から石をころがしてくれるのでしょうか」と話し合っていた。
16 4 But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away--for it was very large. ところが、目をあげて見ると、石はすでにころがしてあった。この石は非常に大きかった。
16 5 And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed. 墓の中にはいると、右手に真白な長い衣を着た若者がすわっているのを見て、非常に驚いた。
16 6 But he said to them, "Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him. するとこの若者は言った、「驚くことはない。あなたがたは十字架につけられたナザレ人イエスを捜しているのであろうが、イエスはよみがえって、ここにはおられない。ごらんなさい、ここがお納めした場所である。
16 7 But go, tell His disciples--and Peter--that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you." 今から弟子たちとペテロとの所へ行って、こう伝えなさい。イエスはあなたがたより先にガリラヤへ行かれる。かねて、あなたがたに言われたとおり、そこでお会いできるであろう、と」。
16 8 So they went out quickly and fled from the tomb, for they trembled and were amazed. And they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid. 女たちはおののき恐れながら、墓から出て逃げ去った。そして、人には何も言わなかった。恐ろしかったからである。
16 9 Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons. 〔週の初めの日の朝早く、イエスはよみがえって、まずマグダラのマリヤに御自身をあらわされた。イエスは以前に、この女から七つの悪霊を追い出されたことがある。
16 10 She went and told those who had been with Him, as they mourned and wept. マリヤは、イエスと一緒にいた人々が泣き悲しんでいる所に行って、それを知らせた。
16 11 And when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe. 彼らは、イエスが生きておられる事と、彼女に御自身をあらわされた事とを聞いたが、信じなかった。
16 12 After that, He appeared in another form to two of them as they walked and went into the country. この後、そのうちのふたりが、いなかの方へ歩いていると、イエスはちがった姿で御自身をあらわされた。
16 13 And they went and told it to the rest, but they did not believe them either. このふたりも、ほかの人々の所に行って話したが、彼らはその話を信じなかった。
16 14 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. その後、イエスは十一弟子が食卓についているところに現れ、彼らの不信仰と、心のかたくななことをお責めになった。彼らは、よみがえられたイエスを見た人々の言うことを、信じなかったからである。
16 15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. そして彼らに言われた、「全世界に出て行って、すべての造られたものに福音を宣べ伝えよ。
16 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 信じてバプテスマを受ける者は救われる。しかし、不信仰の者は罪に定められる。
16 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 信じる者には、このようなしるしが伴う。すなわち、彼らはわたしの名で悪霊を追い出し、新しい言葉を語り、
16 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." へびをつかむであろう。また、毒を飲んでも、決して害を受けない。病人に手をおけば、いやされる」。
16 19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 主イエスは彼らに語り終ってから、天にあげられ、神の右にすわられた。
16 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen. 弟子たちは出て行って、至る所で福音を宣べ伝えた。主も彼らと共に働き、御言に伴うしるしをもって、その確かなことをお示しになった。〕
