1	1 Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, To Philemon our beloved friend and fellow laborer,	キリスト・イエスの囚人パウロと兄弟テモテから、わたしたちの愛する同労者ピレモン、
1	2 to the belovedApphia, Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house:	姉妹アピヤ、わたしたちの戦友アルキポ、ならびに、あなたの家にある教会へ。
1	3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.	わたしたちの父なる神と主イエス・キリストから、恵みと平安とが、あなたがたにあるように。
1	4 I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers,	わたしは、祈の時にあなたをおぼえて、いつもわたしの神に感謝している。
1	5 hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints,	それは、主イエスに対し、また、すべての聖徒に対するあなたの愛と信仰とについて、聞いているからである。

1	9 yet for love's sake I rather appeal to you--being such a one as Paul, the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ--	むしろ、愛のゆえにお願いする。すでに老年になり、今またキリスト・イエスの囚人となっているこのパウロが、
1	10 I appeal to you for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten while in my chains,	捕われの身で産んだわたしの子供オネシモについて、あなたにお願いする。

1	18 But if he has wronged you or owes anything, put that on my account.	もし、彼があなたに何か不都合なことをしたか、あるいは、何か負債があれば、それをわたしの借りにしておいてほしい。

1	21 Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even more than I say.	わたしはあなたの従順を堅く信じて、この手紙を書く。あなたは、確かにわたしが言う以上のことをしてくれるだろう。
1	22 But, meanwhile, also prepare a guest room for me, for I trust that through your prayers I shall be granted to you.	ついでにお願いするが、わたしのために宿を用意しておいてほしい。あなたがたの祈によって、あなたがたの所に行かせてもらえるように望んでいるのだから。
