コリント人への手紙第二	2 Corinthians 1	1
1	1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, To the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints who are in all Achaia:	神の御旨によりキリスト・イエスの使徒となったパウロと、兄弟テモテとから、コリントにある神の教会、ならびにアカヤ全土にいるすべての聖徒たちへ。
1	2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.	わたしたちの父なる神と主イエス・キリストから、恵みと平安とが、あなたがたにあるように。
1	3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,	ほむべきかな、わたしたちの主イエス・キリストの父なる神、あわれみ深き父、慰めに満ちたる神。
1	4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.	神は、いかなる患難の中にいる時でもわたしたちを慰めて下さり、また、わたしたち自身も、神に慰めていただくその慰めをもって、あらゆる患難の中にある人々を慰めることができるようにして下さるのである。
1	5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ.	それは、キリストの苦難がわたしたちに満ちあふれているように、わたしたちの受ける慰めもまた、キリストによって満ちあふれているからである。
1	6 Now if we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effective for enduring the same sufferings which we also suffer. Or if we are comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.	わたしたちが患難に会うなら、それはあなたがたの慰めと救とのためであり、慰めを受けるなら、それはあなたがたの慰めのためであって、その慰めは、わたしたちが受けているのと同じ苦難に耐えさせる力となるのである。
1	7 And our hope for you is steadfast, because we know that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so also you will partake of the consolation.	だから、あなたがたに対していだいているわたしたちの望みは、動くことがない。あなたがたが、わたしたちと共に苦難にあずかっているように、慰めにも共にあずかっていることを知っているからである。
1	8 For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, of our trouble which came to us in Asia: that we were burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life.	兄弟たちよ。わたしたちがアジヤで会った患難を、知らずにいてもらいたくない。わたしたちは極度に、耐えられないほど圧迫されて、生きる望みをさえ失ってしまい、
1	9 Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead,	心のうちで死を覚悟し、自分自身を頼みとしないで、死人をよみがえらせて下さる神を頼みとするに至った。
1	10 who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us,	神はこのような死の危険から、わたしたちを救い出して下さった、また救い出して下さるであろう。わたしたちは、神が今後も救い出して下さることを望んでいる。
1	11 you also helping together in prayer for us, that thanks may be given by many persons on our behalf for the gift granted to us through many.	そして、あなたがたもまた祈をもって、ともどもに、わたしたちを助けてくれるであろう。これは多くの人々の願いによりわたしたちに賜わった恵みについて、多くの人が感謝をささげるようになるためである。
1	12 For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that we conducted ourselves in the world in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God, and more abundantly toward you.	さて、わたしたちがこの世で、ことにあなたがたに対し、人間の知恵によってではなく神の恵みによって、神の神聖と真実とによって行動してきたことは、実にわたしたちの誇であって、良心のあかしするところである。
1	13 For we are not writing any other things to you than what you read or understand. Now I trust you will understand, even to the end	わたしたちが書いていることは、あなたがたが読んで理解できないことではない。それを完全に理解してくれるように、わたしは希望する。
1	14 (as also you have understood us in part), that we are your boast as you also are ours, in the day of the Lord Jesus.	すでにある程度わたしたちを理解してくれているとおり、わたしたちの主イエスの日には、あなたがたがわたしたちの誇であるように、わたしたちもあなたがたの誇なのである。
1	15 And in this confidence I intended to come to you before, that you might have a second benefit--	この確信をもって、わたしたちはもう一度恵みを得させたいので、まずあなたがたの所に行き、

1	17 Therefore, when I was planning this, did I do it lightly? Or the things I plan, do I plan according to the flesh, that with me there should be Yes, Yes, and No, No?	この計画を立てたのは、軽率なことであったであろうか。それとも、自分の計画を肉の思いによって計画したため、わたしの「しかり、しかり」が同時に「否、否」であったのだろうか。

1	20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.	なぜなら、神の約束はことごとく、彼において「しかり」となったからである。だから、わたしたちは、彼によって「アァメン」と唱えて、神に栄光を帰するのである。
1	21 Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God,	あなたがたと共にわたしたちを、キリストのうちに堅くささえ、油をそそいで下さったのは、神である。
1	22 who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.	神はまた、わたしたちに証印をおし、その保証として、わたしたちの心に御霊を賜わったのである。
1	23Moreover I call God as witness against my soul, that to spare you I came no more to Corinth.	わたしは自分の魂をかけ、神を証人に呼び求めて言うが、わたしがコリントに行かないでいるのは、あなたがたに対して寛大でありたいためである。
1	24 Not that we have dominion over your faith, but are fellow workers for your joy; for by faith you stand.	わたしたちは、あなたがたの信仰を支配する者ではなく、あなたがたの喜びのために共に働いている者にすぎない。あなたがたは、信仰に堅く立っているからである。

2	1 But I determined this within myself, that I would not come again to you in sorrow.	そこでわたしは、あなたがたの所に再び悲しみをもって行くことはすまいと、決心したのである。
2	2 For if I make you sorrowful, then who is he who makes me glad but the one who is made sorrowful by me?	もしあなたがたを悲しませるとすれば、わたしが悲しませているその人以外に、だれがわたしを喜ばせてくれるのか。
2	3 And I wrote this very thing to you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow over those from whom I ought to have joy, having confidence in you all that my joy is the joy of you all.	このような事を書いたのは、わたしが行く時、わたしを喜ばせてくれるはずの人々から、悲しい思いをさせられたくないためである。わたし自身の喜びはあなたがた全体の喜びであることを、あなたがたすべてについて確信しているからである。
2	4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you, with many tears, not that you should be grieved, but that you might know the love which I have so abundantly for you.	わたしは大きな患難と心の憂いの中から、多くの涙をもってあなたがたに書きおくった。それは、あなたがたを悲しませるためではなく、あなたがたに対してあふれるばかりにいだいているわたしの愛を、知ってもらうためであった。
2	5 But if anyone has caused grief, he has not grieved me, but all of you to some extent--not to be too severe.	しかし、もしだれかが人を悲しませたとすれば、それはわたしを悲しませたのではなく、控え目に言うが、ある程度、あなたがた一同を悲しませたのである。
2	6This punishment which was inflicted by the majority is sufficient for such a man,	その人にとっては、多数の者から受けたあの処罰でもう十分なのだから、
2	7 so that, on the contrary, you ought rather to forgive and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one be swallowed up with too much sorrow.	あなたがたはむしろ彼をゆるし、また慰めてやるべきである。そうしないと、その人はますます深い悲しみに沈むかも知れない。
2	8 Therefore I urge you to reaffirm your love to him.	そこでわたしは、彼に対して愛を示すように、あなたがたに勧める。
2	9 For to this end I also wrote, that I might put you to the test, whether you are obedient in all things.	わたしが書きおくったのも、あなたがたがすべての事について従順であるかどうかを、ためすためにほかならなかった。
2	10 Now whom you forgive anything, I also forgive. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ,	もしあなたがたが、何かのことについて人をゆるすなら、わたしもまたゆるそう。そして、もしわたしが何かのことでゆるしたとすれば、それは、あなたがたのためにキリストのみまえでゆるしたのである。
2	11 lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.	そうするのは、サタンに欺かれることのないためである。わたしたちは、彼の策略を知らないわけではない。
2	12 Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ's gospel, and a door was opened to me by the Lord,	さて、キリストの福音のためにトロアスに行ったとき、わたしのために主の門が開かれたにもかかわらず、
2	13 I had no rest in my spirit, because I did not find Titus my brother; but taking my leave of them, I departed for Macedonia.	兄弟テトスに会えなかったので、わたしは気が気でなく、人々に別れて、マケドニヤに出かけて行った。
2	14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.	しかるに、神は感謝すべきかな。神はいつもわたしたちをキリストの凱旋に伴い行き、わたしたちをとおしてキリストを知る知識のかおりを、至る所に放って下さるのである。
2	15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.	わたしたちは、救われる者にとっても滅びる者にとっても、神に対するキリストのかおりである。
2	16 To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things?	後者にとっては、死から死に至らせるかおりであり、前者にとっては、いのちからいのちに至らせるかおりである。いったい、このような任務に、だれが耐え得ようか。
2	17 For we are not, as so many, peddling the word of God; but as of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ.	しかし、わたしたちは、多くの人のように神の言を売物にせず、真心をこめて、神につかわされた者として神のみまえで、キリストにあって語るのである。

3	1 Do we begin again to commend ourselves? Or do we need, as some others, epistles of commendation to you or letters of commendation from you?	わたしたちは、またもや、自己推薦をし始めているのだろうか。それとも、ある人々のように、あなたがたにあてた、あるいは、あなたがたからの推薦状が必要なのだろうか。
3	2 You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men;	わたしたちの推薦状は、あなたがたなのである。それは、わたしたちの心にしるされていて、すべての人に知られ、かつ読まれている。
3	3 clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.	そして、あなたがたは自分自身が、わたしたちから送られたキリストの手紙であって、墨によらず生ける神の霊によって書かれ、石の板にではなく人の心の板に書かれたものであることを、はっきりとあらわしている。
3	4And we have such trust through Christ toward God.	こうした確信を、わたしたちはキリストにより神に対していだいている。
3	5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God,	もちろん、自分自身で事を定める力が自分にある、と言うのではない。わたしたちのこうした力は、神からきている。
3	6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.	神はわたしたちに力を与えて、新しい契約に仕える者とされたのである。それは、文字に仕える者ではなく、霊に仕える者である。文字は人を殺し、霊は人を生かす。
3	7 But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away,	もし石に彫りつけた文字による死の務が栄光のうちに行われ、そのためイスラエルの子らは、モーセの顔の消え去るべき栄光のゆえに、その顔を見つめることができなかったとすれば、
3	8how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?	まして霊の務は、はるかに栄光あるものではなかろうか。
3	9 For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.	もし罪を宣告する務が栄光あるものだとすれば、義を宣告する務は、はるかに栄光に満ちたものである。
3	10 For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels.	そして、すでに栄光を受けたものも、この場合、はるかにまさった栄光のまえに、その栄光を失ったのである。
3	11 For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious.	もし消え去るべきものが栄光をもって現れたのなら、まして永存すべきものは、もっと栄光のあるべきものである。
3	12 Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech--	こうした望みをいだいているので、わたしたちは思いきって大胆に語り、
3	13 unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away.	そしてモーセが、消え去っていくものの最後をイスラエルの子らに見られまいとして、顔におおいをかけたようなことはしない。
3	14 But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ.	実際、彼らの思いは鈍くなっていた。今日に至るまで、彼らが古い契約を朗読する場合、その同じおおいが取り去られないままで残っている。それは、キリストにあってはじめて取り除かれるのである。

3	16Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.	しかし主に向く時には、そのおおいは取り除かれる。
3	17Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.	主は霊である。そして、主の霊のあるところには、自由がある。
3	18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.	わたしたちはみな、顔おおいなしに、主の栄光を鏡に映すように見つつ、栄光から栄光へと、主と同じ姿に変えられていく。これは霊なる主の働きによるのである。
コリント人への手紙第二	2 Corinthians 4	4
4	1 Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart.	このようにわたしたちは、あわれみを受けてこの務についているのだから、落胆せずに、
4	2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.	恥ずべき隠れたことを捨て去り、悪巧みによって歩かず、神の言を曲げず、真理を明らかにし、神のみまえに、すべての人の良心に自分を推薦するのである。
4	3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,	もしわたしたちの福音がおおわれているなら、滅びる者どもにとっておおわれているのである。
4	4whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.	彼らの場合、この世の神が不信の者たちの思いをくらませて、神のかたちであるキリストの栄光の福音の輝きを、見えなくしているのである。
4	5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus' sake.	しかし、わたしたちは自分自身を宣べ伝えるのではなく、主なるキリスト・イエスを宣べ伝える。わたしたち自身は、ただイエスのために働くあなたがたの僕にすぎない。
4	6For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.	「やみの中から光が照りいでよ」と仰せになった神は、キリストの顔に輝く神の栄光の知識を明らかにするために、わたしたちの心を照して下さったのである。
4	7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.	しかしわたしたちは、この宝を土の器の中に持っている。その測り知れない力は神のものであって、わたしたちから出たものでないことが、あらわれるためである。
4	8 We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;	わたしたちは、四方から患難を受けても窮しない。途方にくれても行き詰まらない。
4	9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed--	迫害に会っても見捨てられない。倒されても滅びない。
4	10 always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.	いつもイエスの死をこの身に負うている。それはまた、イエスのいのちが、この身に現れるためである。
4	11 For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus' sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.	わたしたち生きている者は、イエスのために絶えず死に渡されているのである。それはイエスのいのちが、わたしたちの死ぬべき肉体に現れるためである。
4	12 So then death is working in us, but life in you.	こうして、死はわたしたちのうちに働き、いのちはあなたがたのうちに働くのである。
4	13 And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, "I believed and therefore I spoke," we also believe and therefore speak,	「わたしは信じた。それゆえに語った」としるしてあるとおり、それと同じ信仰の霊を持っているので、わたしたちも信じている。それゆえに語るのである。
4	14 knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us with you.	それは、主イエスをよみがえらせたかたが、わたしたちをもイエスと共によみがえらせ、そして、あなたがたと共にみまえに立たせて下さることを、知っているからである。
4	15 For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.	すべてのことは、あなたがたの益であって、恵みがますます多くの人に増し加わるにつれ、感謝が満ちあふれて、神の栄光となるのである。
4	16Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.	だから、わたしたちは落胆しない。たといわたしたちの外なる人は滅びても、内なる人は日ごとに新しくされていく。
4	17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,	なぜなら、このしばらくの軽い患難は働いて、永遠の重い栄光を、あふれるばかりにわたしたちに得させるからである。
4	18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.	わたしたちは、見えるものにではなく、見えないものに目を注ぐ。見えるものは一時的であり、見えないものは永遠につづくのである。
コリント人への手紙第二	2 Corinthians 5	5
5	1 For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.	わたしたちの住んでいる地上の幕屋がこわれると、神からいただく建物、すなわち天にある、人の手によらない永遠の家が備えてあることを、わたしたちは知っている。
5	2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven,	そして、天から賜わるそのすみかを、上に着ようと切に望みながら、この幕屋の中で苦しみもだえている。
5	3 if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked.	それを着たなら、裸のままではいないことになろう。
5	4 For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life.	この幕屋の中にいるわたしたちは、重荷を負って苦しみもだえている。それを脱ごうと願うからではなく、その上に着ようと願うからであり、それによって、死ぬべきものがいのちにのまれてしまうためである。
5	5 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.	わたしたちを、この事にかなう者にして下さったのは、神である。そして、神はその保証として御霊をわたしたちに賜わったのである。
5	6 So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord.	だから、わたしたちはいつも心強い。そして、肉体を宿としている間は主から離れていることを、よく知っている。
5	7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.	わたしたちは、見えるものによらないで、信仰によって歩いているのである。
5	8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.	それで、わたしたちは心強い。そして、むしろ肉体から離れて主と共に住むことが、願わしいと思っている。
5	9 Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.	そういうわけだから、肉体を宿としているにしても、それから離れているにしても、ただ主に喜ばれる者となるのが、心からの願いである。
5	10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.	なぜなら、わたしたちは皆、キリストのさばきの座の前にあらわれ、善であれ悪であれ、自分の行ったことに応じて、それぞれ報いを受けねばならないからである。
5	11Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I also trust are well known in your consciences.	このようにわたしたちは、主の恐るべきことを知っているので、人々に説き勧める。わたしたちのことは、神のみまえには明らかになっている。さらに、あなたがたの良心にも明らかになるようにと望む。
5	12 For we do not commend ourselves again to you, but give you opportunity to boast on our behalf, that you may have an answer for those who boast in appearance and not in heart.	わたしたちは、あなたがたに対して、またもや自己推薦をしようとするのではない。ただわたしたちを誇る機会を、あなたがたに持たせ、心を誇るのではなくうわべだけを誇る人々に答えうるようにさせたいのである。
5	13 For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God; or if we are of sound mind, it is for you.	もしわたしたちが、気が狂っているのなら、それは神のためであり、気が確かであるのなら、それはあなたがたのためである。
5	14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died;	なぜなら、キリストの愛がわたしたちに強く迫っているからである。わたしたちはこう考えている。ひとりの人がすべての人のために死んだ以上、すべての人が死んだのである。
5	15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.	そして、彼がすべての人のために死んだのは、生きている者がもはや自分のためにではなく、自分のために死んでよみがえったかたのために、生きるためである。
5	16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.	それだから、わたしたちは今後、だれをも肉によって知ることはすまい。かつてはキリストを肉によって知っていたとしても、今はもうそのような知り方をすまい。
5	17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.	だれでもキリストにあるならば、その人は新しく造られた者である。古いものは過ぎ去った、見よ、すべてが新しくなったのである。
5	18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,	しかし、すべてこれらの事は、神から出ている。神はキリストによって、わたしたちをご自分に和解させ、かつ和解の務をわたしたちに授けて下さった。
5	19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.	すなわち、神はキリストにおいて世をご自分に和解させ、その罪過の責任をこれに負わせることをしないで、わたしたちに和解の福音をゆだねられたのである。
5	20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.	神がわたしたちをとおして勧めをなさるのであるから、わたしたちはキリストの使者なのである。そこで、キリストに代って願う、神の和解を受けなさい。
5	21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.	神はわたしたちの罪のために、罪を知らないかたを罪とされた。それは、わたしたちが、彼にあって神の義となるためなのである。

6	1 We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.	わたしたちはまた、神と共に働く者として、あなたがたに勧める。神の恵みをいたずらに受けてはならない。
6	2 For He says: "In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you." Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.	神はこう言われる、／「わたしは、恵みの時にあなたの願いを聞きいれ、／救の日にあなたを助けた」。見よ、今は恵みの時、見よ、今は救の日である。

6	16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will dwell in them And walk among them. 7	1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.	愛する者たちよ。わたしたちは、このような約束を与えられているのだから、肉と霊とのいっさいの汚れから自分をきよめ、神をおそれて全く清くなろうではないか。

7	4 Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my boasting on your behalf. I am filled with comfort. I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation.	わたしはあなたがたを大いに信頼し、大いに誇っている。また、あふれるばかり慰めを受け、あらゆる患難の中にあって喜びに満ちあふれている。
7	5 For indeed, when we came to Macedonia, our bodies had no rest, but we were troubled on every side. Outside were conflicts, inside were fears.	さて、マケドニヤに着いたとき、わたしたちの身に少しの休みもなく、さまざまの患難に会い、外には戦い、内には恐れがあった。

7	11 For observe this very thing, that you sorrowed in a godly manner: What diligence it produced in you, what clearing of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what vehement desire, what zeal, what vindication! In all things you proved yourselves to be clear in this matter.	見よ、神のみこころに添うたその悲しみが、どんなにか熱情をあなたがたに起させたことか。また、弁明、義憤、恐れ、愛慕、熱意、それから処罰に至らせたことか。あなたがたはあの問題については、すべての点において潔白であることを証明したのである。
7	12 Therefore, although I wrote to you, I did not do it for the sake of him who had done the wrong, nor for the sake of him who suffered wrong, but that our care for you in the sight of God might appear to you.	だから、わたしがあなたがたに書きおくったのは、不義をした人のためでも、不義を受けた人のためでもなく、わたしたちに対するあなたがたの熱情が、神の前にあなたがたの間で明らかになるためである。

10	7 Do you look at things according to the outward appearance? 10	12 For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.	わたしたちは、自己推薦をするような人々と自分を同列においたり比較したりはしない。彼らは仲間同志で互にはかり合ったり、互に比べ合ったりしているが、知恵のないしわざである。

10	15 not boasting of things beyond measure, that is, in other men's labors, but having hope, that as your faith is increased, we shall be greatly enlarged by you in our sphere,	わたしたちは限度をこえて、他人の働きを誇るようなことはしない。ただ、あなたがたの信仰が成長するにつれて、わたしたちの働きの範囲があなたがたの中でますます大きくなることを望んでいる。

10	17 But "he who glories, let him glory in the Lord."	誇る者は主を誇るべきである。

11	1 Oh, that you would bear with me in a little folly--and indeed you do bear with me.	わたしが少しばかり愚かなことを言うのを、どうか、忍んでほしい。もちろん忍んでくれるのだ。
11	2 For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.	わたしは神の熱情をもって、あなたがたを熱愛している。あなたがたを、きよいおとめとして、ただひとり男子キリストにささげるために、婚約させたのである。
11	3 But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.	ただ恐れるのは、エバがへびの悪巧みで誘惑されたように、あなたがたの思いが汚されて、キリストに対する純情と貞操とを失いはしないかということである。

11	6 Even though I am untrained in speech, yet I am not in knowledge. But we have been thoroughly manifested among you in all things.	たとい弁舌はつたなくても、知識はそうでない。わたしは、事ごとに、いろいろの場合に、あなたがたに対してそれを明らかにした。
11	7 Did I commit sin in humbling myself that you might be exalted, because I preached the gospel of God to you free of charge?	それとも、あなたがたを高めるために自分を低くして、神の福音を価なしにあなたがたに宣べ伝えたことが、罪になるのだろうか。
11	8 I robbed other churches, taking wages from them to minister to you.	わたしは他の諸教会をかすめたと言われながら得た金で、あなたがたに奉仕し、
11	9 And when I was present with you, and in need, I was a burden to no one, for what I lacked the brethren who came from Macedonia supplied. And in everything I kept myself from being burdensome to you, and so I will keep myself.	あなたがたの所にいて貧乏をした時にも、だれにも負担をかけたことはなかった。わたしの欠乏は、マケドニヤからきた兄弟たちが、補ってくれた。こうして、わたしはすべての事につき、あなたがたに重荷を負わせまいと努めてきたし、今後も努めよう。
11	10 As the truth of Christ is in me, no one shall stop me from this boasting in the regions of Achaia.	わたしの内にあるキリストの真実にかけて言う、この誇がアカヤ地方で封じられるようなことは、決してない。
11	11 Why? Because I do not love you? God knows!	なぜであるか。わたしがあなたがたを愛していないからか。それは、神がご存じである。
11	12 But what I do, I will also continue to do, that I may cut off the opportunity from those who desire an opportunity to be regarded just as we are in the things of which they boast.	しかし、わたしは、現在していることを今後もしていこう。それは、わたしたちと同じように誇りうる立ち場を得ようと機会をねらっている者どもから、その機会を断ち切ってしまうためである。
11	13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.	こういう人々はにせ使徒、人をだます働き人であって、キリストの使徒に擬装しているにすぎないからである。
11	14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.	しかし、驚くには及ばない。サタンも光の天使に擬装するのだから。
11	15Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.	だから、たといサタンの手下どもが、義の奉仕者のように擬装したとしても、不思議ではない。彼らの最期は、そのしわざに合ったものとなろう。
11	16 I say again, let no one think me a fool. If otherwise, at least receive me as a fool, that I also may boast a little.	繰り返して言うが、だれも、わたしを愚か者と思わないでほしい。もしそう思うなら、愚か者あつかいにされてもよいから、わたしにも、少し誇らせてほしい。
11	17 What I speak, I speak not according to the Lord, but as it were, foolishly, in this confidence of boasting.	いま言うことは、主によって言うのではなく、愚か者のように、自分の誇とするところを信じきって言うのである。
11	18 Seeing that many boast according to the flesh, I also will boast.	多くの人が肉によって誇っているから、わたしも誇ろう。
11	19 For you put up with fools gladly, since you yourselves are wise!	あなたがたは賢い人たちなのだから、喜んで愚か者を忍んでくれるだろう。
11	20 For you put up with it if one brings you into bondage, if one devours you, if one takes from you, if one exalts himself, if one strikes you on the face.	実際、あなたがたは奴隷にされても、食い倒されても、略奪されても、いばられても、顔をたたかれても、それを忍んでいる。
11	21 To our shame, I say that we were too weak for that! But in whatever anyone is bold--I speak foolishly--I am bold also.	言うのも恥ずかしいことだが、わたしたちは弱すぎたのだ。もしある人があえて誇るなら、わたしは愚か者になって言うが、わたしもあえて誇ろう。
11	22 Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? So am I.	彼らはヘブル人なのか。わたしもそうである。彼らはイスラエル人なのか。わたしもそうである。彼らはアブラハムの子孫なのか。わたしもそうである。
11	23 Are they ministers of Christ?--I speak as a fool--I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, in deaths often.	彼らはキリストの僕なのか。わたしは気が狂ったようになって言う、わたしは彼ら以上にそうである。苦労したことはもっと多く、投獄されたことももっと多く、むち打たれたことは、はるかにおびただしく、死に面したこともしばしばあった。

11	25 Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep;	ローマ人にむちで打たれたことが三度、石で打たれたことが一度、難船したことが三度、そして、一昼夜、海の上を漂ったこともある。
11	26 in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;	幾たびも旅をし、川の難、盗賊の難、同国民の難、異邦人の難、都会の難、荒野の難、海上の難、にせ兄弟の難に会い、
11	27 in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness--	労し苦しみ、たびたび眠られぬ夜を過ごし、飢えかわき、しばしば食物がなく、寒さに凍え、裸でいたこともあった。
11	28 besides the other things, what comes upon me daily: my deep concern for all the churches.	なおいろいろの事があった外に、日々わたしに迫って来る諸教会の心配ごとがある。
11	29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble, and I do not burn with indignation?	だれかが弱っているのに、わたしも弱らないでおれようか。だれかが罪を犯しているのに、わたしの心が燃えないでおれようか。
11	30 If I must boast, I will boast in the things which concern my infirmity.	もし誇らねばならないのなら、わたしは自分の弱さを誇ろう。
11	31 The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying.	永遠にほむべき、主イエス・キリストの父なる神は、わたしが偽りを言っていないことを、ご存じである。
11	32 In Damascus the governor, under Aretas the king, was guarding the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desiring to arrest me;	ダマスコでアレタ王の代官が、わたしを捕えるためにダマスコ人の町を監視したことがあったが、
11	33 but I was let down in a basket through a window in the wall, and escaped from his hands.	その時わたしは窓から町の城壁づたいに、かごでつり降ろされて、彼の手からのがれた。
コリント人への手紙第二	2 Corinthians 12	12
12	1 It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord:	わたしは誇らざるを得ないので、無益ではあろうが、主のまぼろしと啓示とについて語ろう。
12	2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago--whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows--such a one was caught up to the third heaven.	わたしはキリストにあるひとりの人を知っている。この人は十四年前に第三の天にまで引き上げられた――それが、からだのままであったか、わたしは知らない。からだを離れてであったか、それも知らない。神がご存じである。
12	3 And I know such a man--whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows--	この人が――それが、からだのままであったか、からだを離れてであったか、わたしは知らない。神がご存じである――
12	4 how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.	パラダイスに引き上げられ、そして口に言い表わせない、人間が語ってはならない言葉を聞いたのを、わたしは知っている。
12	5 Of such a one I will boast; yet of myself I will not boast, except in my infirmities.	わたしはこういう人について誇ろう。しかし、わたし自身については、自分の弱さ以外には誇ることをすまい。
12	6 For though I might desire to boast, I will not be a fool; for I will speak the truth. But I refrain, lest anyone should think of me above what he sees me to be or hears from me.	もっとも、わたしが誇ろうとすれば、ほんとうの事を言うのだから、愚か者にはならないだろう。しかし、それはさし控えよう。わたしがすぐれた啓示を受けているので、わたしについて見たり聞いたりしている以上に、人に買いかぶられるかも知れないから。
12	7 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure.	そこで、高慢にならないように、わたしの肉体に一つのとげが与えられた。それは、高慢にならないように、わたしを打つサタンの使なのである。
12	8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me.	このことについて、わたしは彼を離れ去らせて下さるようにと、三度も主に祈った。
12	9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.	ところが、主が言われた、「わたしの恵みはあなたに対して十分である。わたしの力は弱いところに完全にあらわれる」。それだから、キリストの力がわたしに宿るように、むしろ、喜んで自分の弱さを誇ろう。
12	10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.	だから、わたしはキリストのためならば、弱さと、侮辱と、危機と、迫害と、行き詰まりとに甘んじよう。なぜなら、わたしが弱い時にこそ、わたしは強いからである。
12	11 I have become a fool in boasting; you have compelled me. For I ought to have been commended by you; for in nothing was I behind the most eminent apostles, though I am nothing.	わたしは愚か者となった。あなたがたが、むりにわたしをそうしてしまったのだ。実際は、あなたがたから推薦されるべきであった。というのは、たといわたしは取るに足りない者だとしても、あの大使徒たちにはなんら劣るところがないからである。
12	12 Truly the signs of an apostle were accomplished among you with all perseverance, in signs and wonders and mighty deeds.	わたしは、使徒たるの実を、しるしと奇跡と力あるわざとにより、忍耐をつくして、あなたがたの間であらわしてきた。
12	13 For what is it in which you were inferior to other churches, except that I myself was not burdensome to you? Forgive me this wrong!	いったい、あなたがたが他の教会よりも劣っている点は何か。ただ、このわたしがあなたがたに負担をかけなかったことだけではないか。この不義は、どうか、ゆるしてもらいたい。
12	14 Now for the third time I am ready to come to you. And I will not be burdensome to you; for I do not seek yours, but you. For the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.	さて、わたしは今、三度目にあなたがたの所に行く用意をしている。しかし、負担はかけないつもりである。わたしの求めているのは、あなたがたの持ち物ではなく、あなたがた自身なのだから。いったい、子供は親のために財をたくわえて置く必要はなく、親が子供のためにたくわえて置くべきである。
12	15 And I will very gladly spend and be spent for your souls; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I am loved.	そこでわたしは、あなたがたの魂のためには、大いに喜んで費用を使い、また、わたし自身をも使いつくそう。わたしがあなたがたを愛すれば愛するほど、あなたがたからますます愛されなくなるのであろうか。
12	16 But be that as it may, I did not burden you. Nevertheless, being crafty, I caught you by cunning!	わたしは、あなたがたに重荷を負わせなかったとしても、悪がしこくて、あなたがたからだまし取ったのだと、人は言う。
12	17 Did I take advantage of you by any of those whom I sent to you?	わたしは、あなたがたにつかわした人たちのうちのだれかをとおして、あなたがたからむさぼり取っただろうか。
12	18 I urged Titus, and sent our brother with him. Did Titus take advantage of you? Did we not walk in the same spirit? Did we not walk in the same steps?	わたしは、テトスに勧めてそちらに行かせ、また、かの兄弟を同行させた。テトスは、あなたがたからむさぼり取ったことがあろうか。わたしたちは、みな同じ心で歩いたではないか。同じ足並みで歩いたではないか。
12	19 Again, do you think that we excuse ourselves to you? We speak before God in Christ. But we do all things, beloved, for your edification.	あなたがたは、わたしたちがあなたがたに対して弁明をしているのだと、今までずっと思ってきたであろう。しかし、わたしたちは、神のみまえでキリストにあって語っているのである。愛する者たちよ。これらすべてのことは、あなたがたの徳を高めるためなのである。
12	20 For I fear lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I wish, and that I shall be found by you such as you do not wish; lest there be contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, backbitings, whisperings, conceits, tumults;	わたしは、こんな心配をしている。わたしが行ってみると、もしかしたら、あなたがたがわたしの願っているような者ではなく、わたしも、あなたがたの願っているような者でないことになりはすまいか。もしかしたら、争い、ねたみ、怒り、党派心、そしり、ざんげん、高慢、騒乱などがありはすまいか。
12	21 lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and I shall mourn for many who have sinned before and have not repented of the uncleanness, fornication, and lewdness which they have practiced.	わたしが再びそちらに行った場合、わたしの神が、あなたがたの前でわたしに恥をかかせ、その上、多くの人が前に罪を犯していながら、その汚れと不品行と好色とを悔い改めていないので、わたしを悲しませることになりはすまいか。
コリント人への手紙第二	2 Corinthians 13	13
13	1 This will be the third time I am coming to you. "By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established."	わたしは今、三度目にあなたがたの所に行こうとしている。すべての事がらは、ふたりか三人の証人の証言によって確定する。
13	2 I have told you before, and foretell as if I were present the second time, and now being absent I write to those who have sinned before, and to all the rest, that if I come again I will not spare--	わたしは、前に罪を犯した者たちやその他のすべての人々に、二度目に滞在していたとき警告しておいたが、離れている今またあらかじめ言っておく。今度行った時には、決して容赦はしない。
13	3 since you seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, who is not weak toward you, but mighty in you.	なぜなら、あなたがたが、キリストのわたしにあって語っておられるという証拠を求めているからである。キリストは、あなたがたに対して弱くはなく、あなたがたのうちにあって強い。
13	4 For though He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you.	すなわち、キリストは弱さのゆえに十字架につけられたが、神の力によって生きておられるのである。このように、わたしたちもキリストにあって弱い者であるが、あなたがたに対しては、神の力によって、キリストと共に生きるのである。
13	5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?--unless indeed you are disqualified.	あなたがたは、はたして信仰があるかどうか、自分を反省し、自分を吟味するがよい。それとも、イエス・キリストがあなたがたのうちにおられることを、悟らないのか。もし悟らなければ、あなたがたは、にせものとして見捨てられる。
13	6 But I trust that you will know that we are not disqualified.	しかしわたしは、自分たちが見捨てられた者ではないことを、知っていてもらいたい。
13	7 Now I pray to God that you do no evil, not that we should appear approved, but that you should do what is honorable, though we may seem disqualified.	わたしたちは、あなたがたがどんな悪をも行わないようにと、神に祈る。それは、自分たちがほんとうの者であることを見せるためではなく、たといわたしたちが見捨てられた者のようになっても、あなたがたに良い行いをしてもらいたいためである。
13	8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.	わたしたちは、真理に逆らっては何をする力もなく、真理にしたがえば力がある。
13	9 For we are glad when we are weak and you are strong. And this also we pray, that you may be made complete.	わたしたちは、自分は弱くても、あなたがたが強ければ、それを喜ぶ。わたしたちが特に祈るのは、あなたがたが完全に良くなってくれることである。
13	10 Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the authority which the Lord has given me for edification and not for destruction.	こういうわけで、離れていて以上のようなことを書いたのは、わたしがあなたがたの所に行ったとき、倒すためではなく高めるために主が授けて下さった権威を用いて、きびしい処置をする必要がないようにしたいためである。
13	11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.	最後に、兄弟たちよ。いつも喜びなさい。全き者となりなさい。互に励まし合いなさい。思いを一つにしなさい。平和に過ごしなさい。そうすれば、愛と平和の神があなたがたと共にいて下さるであろう。
13	12 Greet one another with a holy kiss.	きよい接吻をもって互にあいさつをかわしなさい。聖徒たち一同が、あなたがたによろしく。
13	13 All the saints greet you.	主イエス・キリストの恵みと、神の愛と、聖霊の交わりとが、あなたがた一同と共にあるように。
13	14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.	【無し】
